Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

@Datu Mike
Toei (or other company) should start fresh and make a remake with seasons so they could have more budget, so it will have better animation and maybe attract a new audience.
Higher Budget ≠ Better Animation. One Punch Man Season 1 is the best example of this. It had a completely average budget for a TV anime, but was turned into an insane spectacle thanks to a passionate and experienced director (Shingo Natsume) with an impressively vast network of connections in the industry. The budget for One Piece, and even the long-running Black Clover adaptation are fine, problems in these shows stem from a whole another slew of issues including poor management and scheduling, and a lack of resources from the studio (these are especially big problems for Black Clover).

Maybe a remake could drum up some possible new interest, but there's no way of knowing that for sure, there are too many large variables. It's not like better animation will automatically attract a larger audience anyway, if that was true, Fire Force would be a much bigger success than The Quintessential Quintuplets (sorry for the Shonen Magazine examples, it was the best thing I could think of at the moment, lol).

Which Jump series got the best adaptation ever?
The first three seasons of Haikyu!! are pretty much the gold standard for an anime adaptation. It's the perfect intersection of awe-inspiring animation, striking storyboards, an amazing soundtrack, and just the right amount of changes that really make Furudate's story shine in a different medium and build on their ideas in great ways (just compare the first chapter of Haikyu!! to the anime's first episode). On top of that, it's blessed with some of Takahiro Kishida's best character designs and the legendary Takahiro Chiba as an aninmation director! Season 4 isn't terrible (most of the staff is the same and the new director and character designs by Kishida are still very good), but living up to the first three seasons on a much tighter schedule is a tall order.

It might not be the best ever as in having the flashiest animated scenes or the biggest budget... But for a weekly release that ran for almost 3 years HxH 2011 is splendid in every aspect except maybe the OST which at first they repeated a lot of songs.

With bleach's anime returning, and all this talk about adaptations really make me yearn for a remake or continuation of Slam Dunk...

@Datu Mike Pacing still sucks, that's the major reason I just stopped watching the anime altogether..

Also I didn't say that One Piece should change to seasonal but that Toei (or other company) should start fresh and make a remake with seasons so they could have more budget, so it will have better animation and maybe attract a new audience.

Also yeah, reactors are great for One Piece, I get the feeling there's some people that started watching One Piece thanks to reactors, so any kind of exposure is always good. (I used to watch some, like I pretty much watched every SuperMechaFrieza reaction up to the timeskip), and Uzumaki Khan is the GOAT.
The fillers does help the pacing and it feels natural like it should be on the Manga without feel like a dragged. That's why Aya komaki does fix the padding and make it more like theatrical rather than look mediocre episode. Her creativity on those fillers is insane like she knew everything on Oda's script.

For example is Perona x Mihawk extension conversation from Episode 917. That first half of episode is only just 2-3 pages in the manga and it is movie level of adaptation, it's crazy!!!

She improvised better on those short manga panels in more creativity way that's why i wanted her so badly to in charge every episodes and i won't bother to watch the slow pacing anymore because it's interesting to see on what she can do to elevate better in the Manga. That's why STAFF MATTERS!!!

Slam Dunk and Yu Yu Hakusho remake but I think it should be different studio
I mean the YYH got the OVA but a lot of people demand a full remake (but the OVA of 2018 is basically captured the modern version of the 90s)

Haikyuu maybe but Jojo definitely isn't a better adaptation, the animation quality is often not great and it also rushes and skips some scenes on occasion. David Pro is usually good at keeping Jojo's style, but there's a lot of other parts that could be improved.
JJBA doesn't need to be highly animated for the earlier parts and it makes up for it with being very well directed. With the introduction of stands it needed it and the only time where the animation was an issue was in part 4 (a lot of outsorucing near the end iirc). JJBA excels in is its incredible direction, capturing the flair/style of the manga and the homage the anime pays to the manga is a very nice touch especially in the openings. That said, part 5 was animated very well which is funny since people were worried about it and it ended up being the best animated part.

Especially if those are written by a good writer/storyboard (it can be good as the author or creator) it really does help all the time.

I'm sorry but the fact that you think extending 2-3 pages into half an episode regularly is a good thing to do says it all.

The anime's pacing is absolutely horrendous, it's no wonder a common opinion is to not watch it and stick to the manga.

Yozakura just above the soon to be axed Zipman? That's disgusting. Thankfully one week placements don't mean much.

Well, seems like Mashle it's here to stay, but ugh, what is this Black Clover position? totally unfair, also Yozakura, let's give color pages and reprint the manga twice but put in the bottom 2! lol

Aaaand there's the GotW bottom ranking I was expecting.

Do we have any info on the 2 announcements that were supposed to be in this issue? Read on 4chan that there's a countdown for kimetsu but no confirmation yet.

Not sure if it's confirmed or not. But i've heard that Kimetsu is supposedly ending in 5/6 chapters according to 2ch leaks. As for the second announcement, we still have no idea. Though I would certianly would want it to be....a certian return....

Yeah, I read the same thing but until we get proof I always take this stuff with a grain of salt.

So by May it would be ending. That's where vol 23 ends.
