I have to say, DS opening above BC is a sight I never thought I'd see. I'm really curious to see how both series will sell after two or three weeks (since you have to be either OP, MHA, HQ or TPN to have 3 or more weeks in the chart because of KNY lol).
Just to give a point of comparison, but Zipman's performance is only very slightly better than Demon's Plan, making it the second worst selling Jump series in the last 5-10 years or so.

Very good start for Undead but the signs were all there so isnt a huge surprise, and in the end my prediction about Agravity Boys doing better than Yozakura was half right, at least two positions better than vol 2 but both started well.
Poor Zipman, doing worst than Tokyo Shinobi Squad and i think even worst than Taisei lol
I wonder if Agravity Boys is going to end up in a similar situation as Robot x Laserbeam - sales are passable but the series ultimately gets axed because it's always basically last in the TOC from lack of weekly votes.
Well yeah, comparing the 2 numbers-wise it's night and day. However, given the author's background, they were still lower than what I'm guessing the editors anticipated. The sales seemed to be "passable" in the eyes of Shueisha, but as they kept declining bit by bit and it kept basically coming in last each week, they ultimately decided to pull the plug on it instead of any of the series with less volume sales

Dayum, is that stone above BC? I guess that talk show boost is doing work.
I knew UU would do fairly well, although it needs to be said that when you consider the kimetsu backlog is running out the position is exactly the same as yozakura's (#28 behind 8 kimetsu volumes vs #40 vs 19 kimetsu volumes). This week is busier than Yozakura's was however, I expect a better result for UU all things considered but let's see how it holds.
The latest batch of reprints just went out, it just hasn't reached the stores yet. Kimetsu backlog will start filling the top spots again in the coming days.

I don't know why people keep dismissing the ToC as if it mattered jack shit as long as you sell, the ToC ultimately does tell jump which series the readers enjoy reading weekly and that's important, becauze the popularity of the magazine itself is just as important as the popularity of the series within the magazine
A big reason WSJ's series can sell so much more than everything else is that they straight up get more exposure compared to everyone else simply by residing in the most popular magazine, if the popularity of the magazine drops the sales will follow suit (which is what has been happening for a while except for some exceptions like when OP had that insane explosion in 2010, and I expect it to happen again with Kimetsu's explosion now, but once so many of those pillars end the popularity of the mag will drop hard which is probably why they are so desperate for hits).
So if you're always in the bottom your sales would need to be DAMN good to justify it, RxL debuted well but ultimately platoued/declined almost instantly so I can see why jump would see no reason to keep it around, and the same goes for yozakura, these kind of sales won't save it if it can't raise from the bottom of the toc.

I sort of agree. I thought RxL was axed more because it was rapidly declining in sales, which translated to (or first manifested as) lower positions in the TOC. Yuuna doesn't really go very high in the rankings (it more or less serves as a line for success and failure in my eyes) but the sales are at least somewhat stable and it's lasted long enough that it can simply end when it wants to at this point. Personally, I'd like to see more sales days for Yozakura, as if it declines at a faster rate than Vol 1, then things won't be good for it.
The tricky side-effect in the equation is that, with this being deep in the current pandemic, digital seems to be doing stronger than physicals. That's at least what it looks like on Amazon, anyway.
And Endeavor is currently Trending Topic 1 in Japan and 2 Worldwide.

Now that Haikyuu is over until Summer and MHA is over until I don't know when, what anime do we get this Spring besides Black Clover and One Piece? Is this going to be the first season since Summer 2018 without any seasonal Jump anime?

Spring 2021 sounds good. Would give the animators enough time to work on the episodes and polish them. Provided they don't do a third fucking movie. HeroAca and Iruma running simultaneously again? Sign me the fuck up for that.
And there it is. I'm curious as to how well each of the newbies will hold their rankings for the rest of the week, but Undead Unluck's looking more and more likely to be a mainstay. Agravity Boys actually has a good chance at surviving too, now. I'm not sure what Yozakura Volume 1's previous ranking was, but things seem to be looking rather stable. Zipman, though... oof. I can see why Jump cut their losses early.
I dont want to see the manga get canceled, actually. Haven't read it, but I'm interested in reading it despite the mixed to negative reception here. I'm just being cautious, since we don't really have anything truly concrete at the moment. I'm optimistic, though.
