The drop isn't normal, vol 1 of Yozakura charted at 140th during the 6th day and now it dropped to 145th in the 3rd day, not to mention the other 2 dropping hard.

Think people are going to be advised on purchasing these volumes digitally than traditionally which won’t be reflected in the current sales data. We will probably see an influx of Amazon running out of stock often for the foreseeable future.

Should we expect that once Abe declares state of emergency and quarantine, an statement from Shueshia and the other editorials about what measures they will take in this situation?

As far as I know, The Tokyo Government has pressured companies to adopt measures to stop the spread of the virus since March, so we should start seeing in the next weeks if Sueisha has actually something planned, which I hope so given that it should be the most sensible thing to do and not wait only when the situation its getting worse.

Volumes will take a hit, the whole manga industry will take a hit because of the virus, atleast in the physical part.

We’re trying to figure out what’s going to be the 3rd series that ends, and honestly idk. After reading the new Neverland chapter I feel like it COULD end in the next couple weeks, but we’ve been speculating this for months now

I've found everything since the timeskip to have felt so rushed, uninteresting, and/or stupid.
One of the worst declines I've seen in a Jump series tbh.
To keep this post on thread-topic. What are some of the worst declines you feel Jump series have had and when?

Bakuman I remember got really insufferable around the time the duo broke up and never really recovered. (same with Death Note after L dies)
Shaman King got really bad around the Jeanne arc.

Worst Decline would be Shokugeki no Souma, after Azami appeared.
Beelzebub also degraded after Fuji/Taka/Nasu where it became more generic action shonen.
Enigma cannot maintain the quality after the first arc.
Magico was good until suddenly I lost interest.

I can see I'm clearly in the minority of opinions on Beelzebub. I feel that a good part of the series for the first half that made it engaging was the consistent narrative that continued throughout each chapter, even with the comedy, but after Akuma Academy Tamura seemed to have no idea what to do with the series and just ran around with whatever random idea he could think of. Return to Ishiyama, while not perfect, at least felt like an attempt to realign the story, until the final arc when it feels like he just gave up.

Secondly, not only Jumpshit lost in sale, but the whole market as well. And shoseki is just a relative measurement of how good that manga is performing compare to the rest of its competitors. As Covid-19 would shrink the sale number of the whole market, the order of ranking would remain mostly intact.
