Am I the only one who feels demon slayer still has a chance to hit 100 million sales considering we are not even half way through the year yet, it still has 3 more volumes, the movie is probably gonna boost backlog sales, and even in later years we still got games and later seasons to keep it relevant
Do you mean 100 million this year? Nope.
I think right now it must have sold around 50 million copies total, then you have the 3 volumes left for this year that´s gonna be around 8 million more. My guess is that by end of year it would have sold 65-70 million copies total (50-55 million copies in this fiscal year).
If it finishes now with only 23 volumes iirc...? Still nope, I mean maybe... Maybe down the years, that would put it in the same rank as titles like Hokuto No Ken and Touch that managed to be 100 million sellers with less than 30 volumes.
If it continues (as in Gotouge basically pulls a new arc) yeah then definitely, if Kimetsu gets to around 30 volumes is pretty much a guarantee it will become a 100million seller down the line.
