So Yuuna, KnY, and Sam 8 have the earliest post chapter 1 and 2 color pages in recent memory, correct? All three had them at Chapter 7.
If you talk "recently", yes, but Toriko got a lead color page for chapter 6, also while chapter 2 would count as typical, it was a lead color page too like chapter 1. Toriko was on a whole another level of "pushing" kkkk

After seeing what fujos can do for sales with Kimetsu, Jump has really been promoting male fanservice quite a bit lately between Agravity Boys, this, a few Mitama chapters, and Undead Unluck. The author's artwork definitely seems to have improved since Spring Weapon, and even more so since his first serialization. Honestly, it's a pretty well-done color page. I'm willing to give this series a fair shot
Its more so that KnY is enjoyed a variety of age groups than fujos. I think someone posted an article explaining KnY's success or something and there was a photo of kids reading KnY with their grandparents. Not surprising though given the theme of the series.

Know when the "guaranteed chapter 2 color page" started happening? Almost all (there might be some exceptions) of the older series don't have chapter 2 CP's.

Moriking logo is super cool, looks like something out of a classic fantasy rpg

It's a lot more recent than you would think, it seems like it became the norm with Hatsukoi Limited in late 2007, from there the new series started to receive color pages in chapter 2 instead of chapter 3, and yes, i actually checked the ToCs and 2nd/3rd chapters of all the new series (availabe in online readers) released during 2006 to 2008, and before HL 99% of the new series received at chapter 3 with Blue Dragon (#1 of 2007) being a exception receiving a color page at chapter 2, it was probably due to being drawn by Obata right after Death Note, so they wanted to push it hard.

Edit: I don't know why but it seems like the first batch of series of 2008 (Psyren, K.O.Sen and Muddy) didn't received any color page at neither chapter 2 or 3, weird, so it basically started with Hatsukoi Limited (last new series of 2007) but became 100% a thing with the second batch of 2008 (NuraMago, Bari Haken and Double Arts)

Mashle's CP reads, "the noisy new character is totally quiet in the CP?!"

Kabuto one shot was super cringe.

OP 96 marks the second lowest first week OP has ever read since Oricon started tracking manga sales, with the lowest being OP 95 with 883,228 copies in 2 days. It's also the volume with the lowest 3-day first week sales. BC 24 has showed quite the drop, for comparison BC 23 sold 71,457 copies in 2 days while BC 22 sold 89,103 copies in 3 days, a 20,000 difference between BC 24 and BC 22. That's pretty much pre-anime sales. DS 15 has showed growth on the other hand selling 65,114 copies in 3 days compared do DS 13 which sold 46,929 copies in 3 days, a 18,000 difference between the two volumes. WNL 16's first week had a small drop when compared to WNL 14 with the same amount of days (33,533 copies and 37,806 copies, respectively).

KNY Official Fanbook is already close to 1,000,000, I wonder what's the best-selling fanbook's sales and which one it is. TPN 18 has also showed quite a drop in its 5th week, with almost a 40,000 difference when compared to TPN 17 (481,869 copies and 520,156 copies, respectively). YNY 21 has also showed a small drop when compared to YNY 18 which had the same amount of days in its first week (23,336 copies and 30,387 copies, respectively). MHA 26 also had a simillar drop that TPN 18 had when compared to MHA 25 (491,872 copies and 532,408 copies, respectively), still it's closer to 500,000 than TPN. Overall, everyone dropped, except DS which had an actually nice growth.

I thought the girl was naked in that preview for a moment, but the text is just hiding her clothes.

Sadly it seems we won't be getting a trio of series starting with nudity.

Didn't we have a notice saying that certain stores would close down for the weekend last week due to corona stuff? That would partially explain the unusually low numbers.

So I see Hasegawa-shi's changed the original setup somewhat.
Not going to lie, I'm actually getting a bit excited for this series. He's definitely been refining his art style over the years, and the colors really bring up major nostalgic vibes just from looking at it.
Mashle's CP reads, "the noisy new character is totally quiet in the CP?!"

Kabuto one shot was super cringe.
Where did you read the oneshot at? What was it about?
I just realized this, but the character designs look a lot like the way the mangaka who made Invade You drew the faces. I thought this was one of his series for a second. Has this author had any previous works?

Really? his art is totally different, the preview is kinda misleading unless he actually changed his art a lot in less than a year, and no, he's like Undead author, only previous work was Bone Collection one shot.

Read it on an imgur link. Should be here somewhere. It was 20 pages of "dude he's a beetle!" joke and then becomes hinomaru zumo + jojolion beetle fight arc

I wouldn't worry all that much about these numbers since the drop is so big all around the board that it has to be corona related. The only one who has grown at all compared to its last 3 days volume is Stone, and even then I would've expected a bigger increase given the trend since then.

Like, One Piece is down a whopping -112k compared to just volume 94, what the fuck. We never learn is down -25% even compared to its last volume which only had 2 days instead of 3. Yuuna is similar. These drops are just so big there has to be something more to them.
