No because the hidden potential in question was Natsu's emotions. Without those emotions, he's more or less on Gray's level. When he taps into those emotions, he's much stronger.

Even before, it was clear in the fight that Laxus was stronger, and that she was the underdog:
- her wishing Natsu or Gray was with her
- her needing buffs such as Dragon Seal and Natsu/Gray swords
- Erza falling on her knees, while Laxus walked upto her. Erza going out cold on her knees, while Laxus sitting and laying down after he won
- Laxus took down Kiria before fighting Erza.

I feel like that's only the case in of stamina. Both of them went at it on each other with their attacks but have not put each other down. In the end, it all came down to stamina and both of them were low on it. But he passed out later than she did and is now awake. But in strength, she's basically on par with him now

When I say they're basically equal, I mean she can give him a fight the way she already did every single time. Again, there is no gap between the two as if it was Natsu and Gray, Laxus and Erza are neck and neck with Laxus edging her out.

I'm pretty surprised myself at this lol. Erza didn't even get knocked out after all her bones broke lol. I guess she it's because she doesn't have POF this time

Yeah, that’s not the case though. Laxus took down Kiria, who has proven she’s at least comparable to Erza up until she uses dragon seal. Then took on Erza, and put her down. Now he’s back up carrying her around while remaining untouched alone against the god seeds. A fresh Laxus would be able to give that fight against Erza every time, and have enough left in the tank to go take another Erza out. I don’t understand why people insist on downplaying that fact. I mean the only standard for victory Erza has is Laxus exhausting his magic, and he had already spent that much. He had enough magic to no diff an Erza lvl opponent. An enough left over to slug it out with Erza with her amps.

Laxus got an amp too. He got RL and Erza got new swords. What's to say he's not exhausting his magic again if they fought? Obviously Laxus felt the need to use RL since his regular lightning couldn't put her down.

Laxus fought Kyria but he didn't care and at no point did it ever look like it affected him. Even if you want to say it did, Erza fought back for a lot of the fight.

Erza is close to Laxus' level. Also, it could very well be that Laxus got up because the WW's control faded since everyone else that was under her control also woke up despite being knocked out.

Erza said she learned how to enchant. But yea, we'll have to see if Erza re-enchants those swords again.

But Dragon Seal is 100% from Wendy though

Yeah, I'm hating Erza less now lol (love her outside of fights tho)

I don't think Laxus can go DF. 2nd generation DS can't go DF if I remember correctly, instead they have drive or something related to their lacrima. I believe Laxus used it in his first fight with Natsu and Gajeel, he had scales and became buff
