Well GS did not show all of his power so I do not want to wank despite them being relatively on the same level
Makes sense.

Though I will say, I do believe stomping the GOI + Jura and being acknowledged by Gildarts is better than killing Gray. Now whether or not his hax would is another thing.

I shit on the GOI and Jura a lot but in reality, they are strong wizards. Plus, doesn't this scan prove he beat them up with his bare fists at the beginning?

I put a more accurate scaling before my personal feelings of who I enjoy
Please give me your reasons for putting Brandish over Wahl.

Like how much MP they have?

1) Natsu (This is not even a question)

2) Gildarts
3) Laxus/Erza (I think their MP is the same, Nakagami is too taxing)
4) Gray DeS
5 Mira Alegria/Gajeel DF
6) The rest.

Only reason Gray above Mira is because Alegria burns out too fast. If she uses it for longer then they switch. Gajeel is equal to Mira because he can't use DF without an external source of power like MBP. If he shows to use at will he easily trumps both.

Honeslty, i'm tempted to say Mirajane while in Alegria is 3rd to Gildarts when it comes to magic power. She was the only who has shown to evaporate a sea just with her magical power lol.

Meh, I have RL over Alegria and Erza's swords above it too.

God Serena was portrayed to be Gildarts level. And he pretty much no diff'd Jura and 3 guys tiers above Jura. Jura is near Makarov level, and Makarov needed a FDK punch from Natsu. Which means his opponents weren't really some jokes either. Makarov level guys are still relevant.

And even as a Historia, he briefly overwhelmed team Natsu, and gave low diff to Gildarts (gave Gildarts a few injuries off screen). Gildarts needed one of his strongest attacks to finish off Historia Serena. This is really impressive, when you look at the 'historia nerf' in context - Bradman as a Historia got reduced from a level of soloing Sabertooth to being base Rouge's level.

God Serena hasn't shown his powers yet, but what little feats we got from him were impressive.

Well besides both of them being relatively on the same level, I feel that Brandish would have the edge over Wall for being able to just shrink any essential components inside of Wall that would kill him, she has a rather terrifying power when it comes to instant win moves

I think this is where much of the disagreements come from. People don't see them on similar relative levels.

Brandish has pathetic stats, she was being blitzed by Lucy of all people. Yes, she was holding back her powers in the sense that she didnt just explode Lucy's head or something, but that doesn't change her stats.
Wahl was tagging with Laxus (before being nerfed by magic barriers), and has magic specifically to counter mages (weakness).
Even if we look at feats, all that Brandish has are MASSIVE Ls. She was undoubtedly the most pathetic Spriggan out there, that's an accomplishment considering that Spriggans were largely jokes, like Jacob and fodderHart lol.

I don't see Spriggans being on the same level at all, I see them in tiers:

Top tier:
August
Dragon Eileen

High tier:
Larcade
Serena
human Eileen

Mid tier:
Bradman
Dimaria
Wahl
Invel
Ajeel

Low tier:
Neinhart
Jacob
Brandish

Pretty much your list. I'd just switch Laxus and Erza around. Nakagami doesn't increase MP. It just takes a lot of MP to wear.

I'd maybe also switch Natsu and Gildarts around, depending on what Natsu shows in the next few chapters.

The Spriggans should all have around the same level of magic power.
Larcade has slightly more than the rest.
August and Irene have a lot more.

How that magic power translates into stuff that actually matters is up for debate. You could say that if the Alvarez Arc taught us one thing it's that raw magic power doesn't mean very much unless it translates into something useful.

Strictly speaking, I don't think Brandish's durability is much better than Neinhart's. However, her attack power is better than Jacob's. More importantly she doesn't get hit a lot because her mass manipulation can end fights quickly.

Looking back at it during Phantom Lord, Gajeel stood no chance against Natsu. Natsu fought Totomaru and Aria then matched Gajeel who was just sitting around beating up Lucy. Gajeel even then started eating the iron to replenish his power when Natsu started getting exhausted. When both were full power, Natsu absolutely stomped him.

Natsu has always been stronger than Gajeel.

well I still believe that their strength is relative to each other regardless, since most of their battles are either with people who are close to or at their level, or other characters who use some special method to become as strong or bypass their hax. Brandish only had one battle and she was holding back the entire time to fool her allies into thinking she lost

Well when you compare the two, Gajeel's ISD is comparable to LFD. His Black Jet Iron imo is close to but still weaker than FDK.

Both at their peaks (like Phantom Lord), Gajeel stands no chance.

A few questions.

If you think Serena really did briefly overwhelm Team Natsu and that 'Gildarts needed one of his strongest attacks to finish off Historia Serena', and can summon two more Historia just a tier below, why do you have Neinhart at the lowest level you created? And if you really think Serena is on Gildarts' level, do you also think he's superior to Human Irene? If these Spriggans you've put into tiers are in order, would it be safe to assume you think Larcade is also superior to Irene?

I ranked Neinhart by himself.
If we rank Neinhart together with Historia, he is somewhere between mid and high tier Spriggan (reason: his Historia quite comfortably defeated Erza, and he didn't even use all his magic to power them up. He created a few more for the battle in Hargeon). IMO, he has more magic power than everyone on and below mid tier Spriggans

I think Gildarts and Serena are slightly above human Eileen. Human Eileen got overhwlmed by Erza/Wendy, and later by Erza herself (when Wendy was out cold). In magic power she's August tier, but in physical stats she's Alverez Erza tier....averaging it I put her in Gildarts tier.

Larcade is superior to human Eileen IMO too. The overflow of his hax nerfed Eileen, floored Gildarts and Laxus. He can EASILY defeated anyone in his tier and below in my opinion

When did his Historia comfortably defeat Erza? His historia literally vanished when Erza released some magical power to the point she overwhelmed even Neinhart. And this was her with bandages after her battle with Ajeel, Azuma himself stated that she was normally a lot stronger than that.

You seem to be arguing under the idea that Gildarts being Serena's peer is a given. It is not.

The most we got from their bout was this:
Which is Gildarts' recognition, not a clarification as to what level of a wizard he would've been alive. Serena also made note that Gildarts kept splitting his magic. I mean, I know this is a historia and doesn't necessarily reflect their actual power levels, but if so, where are we getting that Serena was on Gildarts' level?

I have no qualms Gildarts being on Human Irene's level, but to say Serena is on that level with them just sounds a bit too much to me.

Larcade is superior to human Eileen IMO too. The overflow of his hax nerfed Eileen, floored Gildarts and Laxus. He can EASILY defeated anyone in his tier and below in my opinion
The overflow of Larcade's hax also affected Zeref and received recognition from him that it could affect Acnologia himself (I don't think it would but it's the way it is) and Mavis also mentioned that she felt it.

It also didn't 'floor' Irene, she was standing up releasing attacks against Wendy and Erza whereas Gildarts and Laxus were 'floored'. Not saying this reflects their power levels, just that it was affecting everyone who wasn't a virgin who's on Zeref's level at the very least. Which means it can basically affect every single human character except for maybe August (if he wasn't a virgin, which he is), and that's still a maybe.

Erza was way more injured against Eileen and did fine. Erza's "injuries" hardly affect her stats lol.
Erza got fucked up by Ajeel, healed by Wendy & rested a while. Went to Hargeon to fight Neinhart, while not having any superficial injuries at all.
Erza got way more fucked up by Neinhart than by Ajeel, got healed by Wendy & rested a while. Went to guild, got injured and stabbed by enchanted grunts, got her arms cracked by Natsu & Gray, and THEN fought Eileen. Erza was in a much worse situation against Eileen than against Neinhart, not even debatable.

Erza didn't "defeat" his Historia. They vanished because they were afraid due to unexplained reasons. But in combat, they absolutely overwhelmed her.

I see the portrayal that Mashima was trying to imply there. Serena was portrayed with Gildarts, and it's not really contradicted by feats either (whatever little feats he got are fairly impressive)

On the bold part: exactly what I said. Eileen was nerfed, while Gildarts and Laxus were floored. Read again.
Yes, it affected Zeref as well. Which is only adding to my point that he could fuck up a lot of high tier mages (IMO Zeref is actually on or below August/Dragon-Eileen).
I honestly would've put him in August/Dragon-Eileen tier if his stats weren't so bad. In magic power, I do think he's close to August/Eileen level.

Erza reached the peak of her POF against Irene in which that she had to save everyone on the battlefield. She had no such incentive against Neinhart. There is also a clear indication, and by that I mean a straight up statement, saying that she was not at full power. This isn't really a discussion to be had, it was clear as day that she wasn't at peak with her bandages and the fact that when she released her magical power, Neinhart got overwhelmed to the point even his historia vanished. No such issue was Erza faced with against Irene except for her hands (that weren't hindering her in any way) that she used to block END and Gray's attacks.

Erza got fucked up by Ajeel, healed by Wendy & rested a while. Went to Hargeon to fight Neinhart

The enchanted grunts were fodders, they were just there to hype up Irene. I doubt their feats had any lasting consequences. What isn't debatable here was that Erza was not at full power against Neinhart considering it was flat-out stated. As in by words. She was later healed by Wendy after this then went for days fighting.

Most of these gauntlets are usually ran by Natsu and Erza, and the general rule of thumb is, ironically enough, your first statement, "Erza's injuries hardly affect her stats". However that only stands if there's no statement or clear hindrance to how weakened they are. This is a rule broken by her fight with Neinhart with Azuma's statement that she was weaker than normal. You can explain his statement with three possibilities:
  • She's weaker during the Hargeon battle than she was during Tenroujima (basing it literally on Azuma's knowledge, which is a massive nerf)
  • The writer is implying that she's not at full power through Azuma's words
  • Azuma's statement is a tongue-in-cheek statement, which is about as big of a reach it can get just to simply get this evidence thrown out
Erza didn't "defeat" his Historia. They vanished because they were afraid due to unexplained reasons. But in combat, they absolutely overwhelmed her.
They vanished because they were overwhelmed by her magical power. In combat, she started getting overwhelmed and at some point, Kyouka's powers weren't even working anymore, and if hers weren't going to do Erza in, nothing else those three have was gonna do much against her. It wasn't unexplained, Erza released enough magical power that they recognised that they weren't going to win. That's why they were terrified as Neinhart explained. This was also a weakened Erza as Azuma had already stated. Says a lot.

I see the portrayal that Mashima was trying to imply there. Serena was portrayed with Gildarts, and it's not really contradicted by feats either (whatever little feats he got are fairly impressive)
Feats don't have to contradict non-existing hype. There was no portrayal being implied there, other than that he was a strong wizard, Gildarts simply mentioned he would be a wizard on a decent level when he was alive, and now that he's a historia, he's a 'small fry'. They then headbutted each other with Gildarts' face drawn with a huge smug. Serena started throwing attacks and Gildarts kept cracking them. Gildarts then said he would've liked to fight him if he were still alive. He then one-shotted him.

I don't see where you saw this implication. It would also make more sense that Serena is not on Irene's level, even human, considering she has enchanted swords that could match BSS Mirajane, a Spriggan level character.

On the bold part: exactly what I said. Eileen was nerfed, while Gildarts and Laxus were floored. Read again.

I honestly would've put him in August/Dragon-Eileen tier if his stats weren't so bad. In magic power, I do think he's close to August/Eileen level.
My point is that his hax can work on anyone, the limit is in the sexual history of the opponent which makes it a situational hax. What I was wondering about is why you had him even above Human Irene, I brought up the fact that she could still fight Erza and Wendy even under its effects to iterate that Irene would still be able to fight back even under its effects. Hence, she should be a tier above.
