Hello MG users.

I have been following your forum for some time but never asked me to join that forum, until today a new user decided to do so (
Lugia__). And not because I know him. If not, it seemed to me that his comments about "the theft" that Oricon does to the One Piece manga seemed, at least, insane.
Sorry for my toughness, but I can't be more assertive than this.
I have been reading and listening to that kind of comment since last year, when a small Demon Slayer broke a barrier that no one has ever achieved before. One Piece is entertaining, it is history of the manga and anime world, but it was "defeated" physically and morally by Demon Slayer.
And that, dear friends, is what it costs to accept a large part of One Piece fans. Nothing in this life is untouchable, and a manga would be no less.
One Piece will be able to print 3.3 million copies, but that doesn't make it profitable at all. In fact, there is no justification for them to continue to launch so many millions if they do not sell them in full.
The reason why they do it, and that is already a personal opinion, is due to pure insistence that One Piece will sell the same thing again. There may even be an ego in all of that. Because recently they themselves published the impressions they made of each manga. I think it is a form of affirmation at a difficult time for them. It may continue to sell a lot, but it is waging a war because it finally came up with an adversary to match.
But only a delusion believes that the fact that they lost in the year 2019 and will lose not only in the best-selling manga position in a year, but that they give the position to the most popular tome to Demon Slayer, does not affect them.
Probably they thought that only volume # 95 would not have lived up to expectations, but the truth is that volume # 96 is still being worse, when in two weeks it has barely 1.4 million. Of course, for any manga that is outrageous, but for OP, no. And we will see if with two volumes in a row that do not reach two million, they will continue to print the same as before.
I end by saying two things: the first is that I'm glad it is so, because that position of divinity that Oda and One Piece had made them rejoin because they did what they did with their history would still be number one. And it's okay for them to be forced to earn that position so they don't take anything for granted.
And in second. The world of manga / anime has changed. Fresh air has entered with new mangakas, new talents, new more modern stories, and they simply have to adapt to the changes. And they will be great.
Excuse my English, it is not my mother language.
