We probably won't hear about it for some months. With the COVID situation and many productions getting delayed, it should only debut next year at earliest.

Damn an 1.3 million increase for the first print. The 60 million circulation was totally expected and at this point I wouldn't be surprised if it crossed 100 million in circulation this year, there's still plenty of time for the backlog to sell and there are 2 more volumes to be released this year. What a monster.

And I was the first one who claimed the 100M benchmark for lifetime sales, and people doubted me then .

Assuming it does hit 100 million, will it be the fastest series to reach that landmark?

I was about to ask this as well. I know SD definitely passed 100M with 30+ volumes, but KnY is on track to pass the benchmark in a few more volumes, and less than Slam Dunk's at that.

So... Kimetsu becomes the 13th series with the biggest circulation number in Jump, with the Top 12 being: ONE PIECE, Dragon Ball, NARUTO, SLAM DUNK, Kochikame, Bleach, JoJo's, FOTNS, Captain Tsubasa, HUNTERxHUNTER, Kinnikuman and Rurouni Kenshin.

With this 20M jump, it has surpassed: Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Quest: Dai, City Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gintama, Rokudenashi Blues, Cobra, Shaman King and Prince of Tennis.

Kimetsu is at 50+ million from physical if I'm not mistaken. 41 mil for 2020, 12 mil for 2019, 2+ million for 2016-2018. So that's about 55 million approximately

Even at it's conclusion, KnY is a beast of sales. And I guess with it confirmed ending next issue, all the newbies are pretty much safe until the next round right? Yozakura and Mitama are going to be closing in on one year by then.

I guess with the emergency state the printing companies have to reduce the frequency of their output so WSJ had to increase the first print all at once.

If we exclude digital sales from Kimetsu no Yaiba (around 6-7 million copies? Less? More?) and One Piece Volume 21 first print (1.5/2 million copies?), I think both series are at the same level.

And probably Yū Yū Hakusho with one more Volume would be at the same level too.

What Demon Slayer has obtained is something extraterrestrial. DS has broken all records. Only it will not surpass One Piece in number of sales because the manga ends. Otherwise, both his manga and anime have broken any record.

So with KNY 20 releasing next week and with a first print of 2.8 million, do you guys think it can beat OP's highest first week sales? OP 66 sold over 2.27 million copies in its first week, which had 5 days, the same amount of days KNY 20 is going to have.
