Kimetsu clearly.

About TPN, I agree with all of you that this ending is being meh. But unlike other manga which had meh endings (Shokugeki, Nisekoi, Reborn mainly), this hasn't affected TPN sales for some reason.
Maybe that's to do with length? TPN hasn't hit 200 chapters yet. Food Wars ended with 315, Nisekoi with 229 and Reborn with 409. I never read Reborn but Nisekoi and Food Wars were going downhill for years (maybe even around the chapter 179 mark) while there's varying opinions on where exactly TPN started getting bad (not just not as good as the first arc) but most people I see were fine until the current arc which I think has been going on for like 8 months?

They literally walk around and do nothing of interest to me. It’s chapter 3 and it felt like a throwaway chapter.

What did you like about it and where would you rank it on the scale I had?
Maybe I'm biased because Moriking left a really good first impression on me, but I thought there was some good character development and feel-good moments this chapter. I don't know, I just feel like there's a lot more character and soul in this series already than some of the other newbies, though we'll have to wait and see. I would put it at least at a 'Good' on your scale.

Haven't read Reborn but a big difference between Neverland's final arc and series like Shokugeki and Nisekoi is there's nothing actually distinctly wrong with this arc that'll make people angry (and hence stop reading/buying it).

Nisekoi's fanbase dropped because it had a really stupid arc with Raku being a terrible person and it wrote off the fan favourite at the same time. Shokugeki was in decline since soon after the central arc started really with a nonsensical villain and the opponents all cheating in the cooking bits (which was just annoying rather than fun), then when it was finally looking up again it went NTR mode and also all the dishes became random and silly since the chef left.

Neverland's final arc's main issue is rushing important stuff and not quite capturing that intense back-and-forth scheming of the earlier series well. It's really not that bad of an arc, it's just okay compared to how great the escape and goldy pond arcs were.

Yankee manga still work fine elsewhere, weekly Champion has at least 3 of them ongoing right now.

I don't know if the niche fanbase would be big enough to support one in WSJ though, champion has much lower requirements for what counts as a success.
shonen magazine has Tokyo manji revengers and that is as yankee as you can get and currently has 4 million copies in circulation. I feel like the reason why it was successful was because of the time travel elements and it’s suspenseful nature. Since heavy metal yankee seems to be taking a strong battle shonen approach to it I think it can be very successful. Also can attract older people who see this as kind of like a “throwback manga”.

This was by far the easiest week to vote for me, the best chapters were pretty clear in my mind.

I didn't really like Kimetsu's final arc (well, about half of it) for a variety of reasons, but I enjoyed this recent chapter a lot. Kimetsu never really nailed it regarding plot and fights for me, but the character interactions and dialogue were consistently good, the moments in-between arcs were my favourite. I hope Gotouge, free from any pressure, decides to make a more laid back/slice-of-life-ish series. I would probably enjoy it much more.

Bone Collection is....undercooked, to be blunt. I can't entirely "dismiss" it, but nothing about it is in any way worth keeping around.

Jump original novel Suicide Maid is getting a manga adaptation on Jump Plus by Katsutoshi Murase (Arata Primal)

You know what would be cool, if we had an actual horror manga on jump. Jump has never really have a huge straight up horror ip on jump since outer zone While we do have series like chainsawman, TPN, death note, muhjo to rijo, nura, and jujutsu kaisan these series more so have elements of horror than being straight up horror manga. I could see it being an episodic horror of the week, survival horror, or even a mystery horror if they want a story that’s going to last long. I feel that it is the best time considering jump is going into more genres and the fact that jujutsu and chainsaw is serializing so they can even put more violent and dark content in it.

Does anybody is getting HxH feels from UU Power system? It's so interesting.
Hmm, I'd agree that there are similarities but on a whole I think the UU is simpler than the HxH Power system which is far more complex.
Nen from HxH has 4 Principles: Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu. The Un-power in UU can be parted in two - negating rules for yourself, negating rules for others.
Nen has advanced techniques, 6 types of individuality, Aura types and so on. UU focus so far purely on the negating aspect which is funny in a way as most negation (expect Andy's) seem to need to meet some condition to be activated. You could take in the UMAs as extreme versions of the rules themselves but they are more like "out of the battlesystem" since they are the bosses the negators have to fight to fulfill the quests given to them.
But in a couple hundred chapters, if UU runs for so long, the Negation System of UU might also advance in complexity like Artifacts which we saw a couple of for example or using UMAs as tools in battle. Or ofc Weapons made by Unbreakable.

HxH's power system is complicated in the initial description of how it works but none of the core rules to it actually matter in the long term, the whole nen part isn't important at all, really every just has their own completely unique personal ability similar to something like Medaka Box except with self-imposed restrictions.

I think Undead will get more complicated individual powers and artifacts as it goes along (if it's a success of course) but it doesn't need to add more complicated rules that apply to everyone to connect all the powers together. They break the laws of nature and that's all it really needs to connect them. It's an SCP manga, not following nature is the main rule connecting them after all.

One idea I thought could be interesting is people guessing what kind of plot each new series will be doing at this time next year. I can't imagine anyone correctly predicted Chainsawman's current story when it was still new. Could be a fun thing to look back at and see if anyone was correct.

Obviously they won't all still be around next May but we'll have 9 series less than a year old once Ghost Writer starts next week, so at least 3-4 should still be around.

Like other user also commented, I don't think the core rules are the most important part of HxH Power system later on, but the execution itself.

Togashi has such a genius way to apply his Power system in Battles. And I think UU and his author is atleast trying to do something similar. Break the convetional way to fight in battle shounen.

The fact that we are already seeing this with only 14 chapters in is also impressive, since HxH took a long time to introduce Nen.

The potential is Real. I really find this series interesting and hopefully it's not cancelled.

Haven't read it but it sells pretty ok right? Even got released in the US a while back, this doesn't seem like that surprising a turn of events?
