I get the feeling that Good Guy Urek, although the only Nice person on the start of Season 2, Will turn out as merely the Guy who doesn't get involved because he can, because unlike the rest he isn't subject to Jahad anyway. He goes on living his White People Problems and thinks FUG overreacts, but FUG is the only one that gives a damn and tries to make a difference at the end of the day.
Which I'm personally fine with. It could just as well be the case that Urek took a long look at these people and how they treat one another (and especially those weaker than them) and came to the conclusion that this shitscape is exactly the world they deserve to live in. There was a time when I think Baam had a similar perspective, though of course that was always destined to change.

There it is, yes. It's been years and years and years and we're still using this kind of language to describe Baam and his usually bare minimum (that's what we got here, only just enough to keep the plot moving on track) achievements. Do we ever get to move on from this phase? I'm having doubts.
I think becoming a Ranker signifies graduation, as in: he no longer belongs in School. From here on he is a grown up, he can go to College and work. Hwaryun is prolly carving the way for him to be knighted Slayer at last, no more "candidate". I can't say where he is at for irregular standards tho.

Won't anyone else comment on Lyboric's half smile face when looking at Bam's teleport?

Because you need to get info on your enemy before you fight him, and former 4th Squadron was marked to die anyway after failing at Last Station. They already have a New 4th Squadron and It Will fight alongside 5th on next wall.

Also relevant: Dowon was being foolish until now but all things considered It adds realism to her character afterall. Each member of the Hidden Leaf had a different persona but all of them put the lives of their friends/comrades above fighting, and that's why they act like they did. FUG, no matter How harsh methods It uses, does Care about people more than a simple tool, and that does qualify them as the lesser evil.

I get the feeling that Good Guy Urek, although the only Nice person on the start of Season 2, Will turn out as merely the Guy who doesn't get involved because he can, because unlike the rest he isn't subject to Jahad anyway. They all have their flaws but they put each other over themselves. Dowon consigned herself to what could be an eternal hell for the sake of people who despised her.

HG is just a tragic story. I hope Baam saved Lucci

As much as FUG has mistreated Bam and threatened his life, I think It boils down to 'ends justify means' kind of perspective. They need to fight the unbeatable King, and all sacrifices necessary must be made. I don't think they would pursue weaklings for no reason. White would, but one can make the argument he became like that because of Hon to begin with.

I'm not talking about FUG in particular, more just the general mindset of people in the Tower. How behavior like Rachel's is considered perfectly normal and acceptable. Urek could very well have seen all this himself and decided that they deserve what they're getting, and resolved himself to just get the hell out.

If you read the fragments from TUS people salvaged before SIU took it down. The outside world isn't some utopia, even among the "gods" weaker axis users aren't exactly living in a lap of luxury

It's fine if you're phant and a top 5, but it quickly shits up. So Urek should get off his high horse

But he's still considered a widdle kiddie by everyone around him (I don't see that changing as a result of this or anything else that happens in this battle), and only managing bare minimum kinds of feats to reinforce that idea. To me, this bleeds over to the reactions people have to what he does. It's always in a 'look at baby go!' frame of reference, not because the things he's doing are always particularly amazing in the broader sense. And then you get the visual of what we saw Zahard doing in this chapter. It seems like a deliberate reminder of how lacking the protagonist is compared to the real thing. We all knew that to be the case regardless, obviously, but SIU doesn't need to gleefully and deliberately rub our faces in it at every opportunity.

I dunno. We were denied any satisfying outcome against Kallavan in favor of this event. And what we got was shitheel Raivolic still pulling off his gambit, and Baam managing to save one little piece of the Cage, while the rest got annihilated. The important stuff got saved and the story will continue on track, but that's it. For once, it would be great if Baam could manage to do something completely right, is all I'm saying.

Yama literally threw out his plan to follow what Baam said. White and Cha are basically focusing all their power to make Baam's attack go through. Is this how you treat kids IRL? Make them the centerpiece of a delicate operation that needs finesse

And for all that, I would argue that not a single one of them look upon him like anything approaching an equal. He's still the little kid to them. At least that's the impression I keep getting as I read the chapters.

Like i said Enryuu and Phanta are far stronger than Zahard , and there is no indication that they are outside the tower .

If Urek was stronger than Zahard in a figth , but he just is the boss of W . In ly opinion he will still be ranked 4 th . Like i said previously that is my opinion not a argument .

Urek being the boss of W does not even come close to Zahard in influence . Zahard control nearly everything in the tower . You can perfectly imagine that is influence is unimaginable .

I don't even know why i al debating this when SIU said that rank is also ilfluenced by influence no reason to doubt that the top rank aren't influenced by influence .

And i showed you p
Let's say Jahad's influence counts. And he gets the help of all his allies against Mazino. Would It matter? Can influence weight on a confrontation of this kind?
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

My suspicion would be that Jahad gets support from some FHs and Urek gets Baek, and that indeed matters. So, thinking again I can answer my own question: yes, influence could be the determining factor there.
Of course , we don't even kow
Hasn't Baam exceeded mere titles like Slayer and regular?
Regular is not only a title you need to climb until the 134 floor to get rid of it .

I woulf add that even if Baam and Urek are the only one that can defeat jahad in 1 vs 1 . With teaming i can see 2 FH defeating Zhard . It will depend on who they are obviously .
Gustang says WT in total can only match one family though. The way I see it, Urek might be slightly below Zahad, but he hasn't grown a lot, he started out at that level. HF likely couldn't contain current Zahad either
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Enryu being able to beat Admin #43 means nothing. Zahad was able to make deals with all the admins up till 135 decided nah. We have no idea if Enryu could have killed the admin that makes Zahad invulnerable to attacks

Also did Khel like not know about Zahad's two contracts?

Urek thought he should be ranked above Phant, this might be cuz they know each other from a previous life, but he doesn't wanna mess with Zahad. I doubt it's as simple as Baam is destined for it. The guy really loves Garam and wont do it even for her
Yeah no Enryuu defeating a guardian , mean he is far superior to common irregulars .

Bam is an regular how does that not get through, these characters are thousands of years old, they know bam is special and strong but he clearly a regular still and has regular limitations, they can obviously tell the difference between using shinsu on the floor and special abilities.

Why does all the characters have to freak out and drop to their knees, for him to prove what exactly? no one acts like that in the story even for urek or zahard, they clearly acknowledge his opinion and assist him when they can, this is solo leveling where every step the Mc makes needs 20 characters tripping balls like noobs its boring, tog is much more realistic on how characters react to bam he is extremely strong for a regular that it.

How can bam exceed the title of slayer when he is this weak? You guys are scaling his powers wrong imo, having a bunch of abilities mean your above your rank or title, I don't know where this rush for bam is coming from, he isn't even stronger than karaka or maybe you meant slayer candidate then sure he has.

Hope in the next chapter things slow down and we can get a clear idea on who survived and who didn't.

Think Kallavan will now join Baam, at least for the rest of this arc to get revenge for his fallen squadron, as he was clear that if this did not work, then he will come for his head.

That doesn't make much sense, considering what happened. It seems likelier that he's going to be enraged with Baam for what he pulled, and go a lot harder at him than he was doing before. Settling with Raivolic can come after.

he did it to save them. He knew Zahad and that it would be a massacre. Lyboric lied and had Khel's team killed off and his team imprisoned

It's tragic
He treated his team mates like little kids who didn't need to hear the bitter truth and guided them straight into the trap. He's not even a light bearer so how on earth could he presume his plan would be better than submitting the bitter truth to the whole team then allowing them to chose for themselves!?!

I think Siu will enjoy delaying this phase (Baam's growth) for the next 4 to 5 years, the time for him to figure out what this whole manwha is really about

Didn't save Lep who is worlds more attractive than Sharon
I have no idea what you're trying to say.

My point is/was: people (readers) will innately or consciously associate with or care more for characters they deem attractive. Human nature. Whether said character is axed or not by the author (another entity) is of no relevance here.

Delaying bam growth how? Bam growth is where it should be, what does bam being hr in strength officially does for the story? Who are you guys using as reference to point at as a delay? Bam is the only irregular we have followed on the climb, we have seen data z at the hf he wasn't even midtier ranker strength or anything like that he was likely irregular A class strength at most.

I have said this many times if and when bam has officially transcend the boundaries between regular and ranker, the stronger characters will say it outright cause they will be able to sense it and it's how Siu writes.

At the last station Sharon said to bam directly, that the thorns is giving off crazy amounts of energy, not bam the thorn the characters in tog clearly now how to measure power level and know the difference between a person strength and their item strength.

It was said on the floor of test, shinsoo density increases, the higher a regular climbs the tower.

ITT: rankers can read the shinsoo resistance of an individual which tells them how far someone has climbed.
