There's actually an entire backstory that connects them all, but it can be confusing enough when you watch them in the proper order so I probably wouldn't recommend diving too deep into it if you're just starting out.
Not the same group, but I remember that one of my firsts songs of Red Velvet was "Peek-A-Boob" and oh boy I was having different feelings with the song and the video, loved them both but also the mix of the happy sounding song with the style of video. Became one of my favorites since then.
The whole backstory idea is actually pretty creative, I will try to follow and understand the order of them until I get more into their songs.
I found a video I uploaded on my twitter on oct 8 2018
regal was still so smol!
(just realized it was regal all along)
those are regal, his brother, and his mum. I miss them I had to approach the mum first to be able to approach the kittens

Peek-A-Boob.... Yeah, it's creepy/dark video but the song not so much. Red Velvet has two different concepts usually, and I prefer the Velvet side of them, which is was Peek-A-Boo is. It's a bit darker/mature. Red is the really bright/summery stuff.
A playlist like this is useful if you want to get into it. Not every MV there is lore-related, but the main ones are. It includes teasers/films as well. Most of the videos have a description that's lore-related too. All of the theories surrounding it ended up inspiring later developments to some degree, so the entire thing is kind of a collaboration between the group and fans.
Yeah, all 12 members debuted with solo songs first. Loona's korean name, Idarui Sonyeo, actually translates to "Girl of the Month". They revealed each member every month or so. Then after a few of them debuted they formed different subunits (Loona 1/3, Loona Odd Eye Circle, and Loona yyxy). Then after that they debuted as the full group. The concept was pretty unique and caught a lot of people's attention because of it.
The one Haku linked is a song JinSoul did for a K-Drama OST. This is her actual solo -
Sorry, I just can read mangas and watch the anime series, so for character that I like (Nobu for example) that aren't in any adaptation, I have to spoil myself to know more about them you did mention there's a manga where Nobunaga and Okita are though, which is it?
First of, in my defense I did try to let my hype out to you on slack, but you were into the VN talk hype that day so we couldn't talk about it.
Now for real, I teased you about this for like two months? I did know about Fate and had favorites already, but always being pretty much an ignorant about everyone in general. About season 1:
It was honestly kinda slow paced at first, I liked some character introductions like Emiya's or Velvet, but it was the whole Sakura's plot that got me for real. It was so disturbing but I loved that, not because of what was happening to her, don't get me wrong xD (in fact, made me feel too bad and awkward, the anime is also very graphic which I appreciate, it doesn't get shy on gore or generally disturbing scenes), what I liked was the dark side of the series, since I'm used to most anime/manga fantasy generes to have a happy-go way of narrating.
Another thing that got me was the way of making the fights, though I feel that sometime they were interrupted too much by long conversations between the servants, Saber vs Lancer was already very good. I think it can be pretty clear that it's an "old" animation, even if it was great because of Ufotable, but it does show that the studio had a kinda different way to animate things, especially from the visual effects of the attacks, like Saber's or Giglamesh's.
I absolutely disliked Ryuunosuke. I know that was the point of the character because he was an asshole and extremely disgusting towards his actions, but also found him annoying and not even got interested about it; there were other psycho characters in the anime that I was curious and enjoyed to see, but he was so over the place all the time Caster's case was kinda similar, but I found him more disturbing and I was actually scared about him, not to mention his whole "Jeanne" screaming (not gonna lie I went on fangirl mode when he mentioned her because I love her a lot, easly on my top ten in general).
What called my attention the most was the interaction between the sevants, like the conversations/debates of "what makes one a king" between Saber, Giglamesh and Rider, probably one of my favorite scenes in the whole series. I think that's where I started to slowly really like Saber (the other two as well, honestly) because we finally saw her character say loud her thoughts, and about something else than the current battle where they had to act as servants of current people.
On MAL I gave it a 7/10, mainly because of the slow pacing something, and some characters that could've had more a bit of screntime (for some odd reason, I didn't like Maiya that much there, until part 2 where I could get more into her).
Now about season 2:
I loved the first three episodes so much, this is kinda where I really started to love and understand more characters besides Lancer, Rider and Saber. I think this is where I started to feel the actual hype for Kiritsugu, I mean I did like him a lot in S1 already but the whole strategy on Lancer and Kayneth left me speechelss (especially because I liked Lancer... ). The debate between him and Saber after that was amazing too, it was a really nice touch, made me like Saber even more.
The character I felt most pity in all the series (both seasons) was without a doubt Kariya. I didn't even like him that much but I feel that you know from the start all he was doing was usseles, it was like his arc from the start was only about losing his mind more and more. His death was probably one of the most awful ones, especially by Sakura's reaction about it, he was never loved in the end, nor one had expectations in him. In fact, the whole Toosaka tragedy was awful, made me respect Rin for real even if I'm not that much into her character.
I was actually curious why Kotomine was so popular at some places, but he was pretty cool to see, especially because it was Giglamesh who basically made him decide to be the way he became in the end, I loved that. His "character development" was kinda particular, in some way, from a boring man to a villian material. His final battle against Kiritsugu was short but pretty great, probably one of my favorites there. Though, I loved far more what came after on Kiritsugu's process; that image of Illya getting shooted by him is still hard to erase, probably one of the darkest moments to me; really this series gave me sometimes FMA vibes from the disturbing moments in some scenes xD.
(Also, the amount of kids tortured and killed in all the series... I feel that they were the real victim for real).
I could write you many pages about S2 but I'm gonna tire you basically I give it a 8/10, the ending was absolutely depressing (the fact that he never could see his daughter again...), and I wish that Saber vs Giglamesh was an actual final fight, I was looking forward to it honestly .
OH, loved Saber vs Lancelot, that little plot twist was pretty great, loved the fight in general.
Top ten Fate/Zero-only characters would be:
Rider
Saber
Giglamesh
Kiritsugu
Lancer
Velvet
Kotomine
Irisviel
Maiya
Rin (her child side was cool to see)
Kept watching after it, finished Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works some days ago but I didn't tell you about it when I started (sorry
).
I already knew more about it, as I knew the plot in general before even starting (please don't kill me ).
I remember I actually started the first few episodes from a manga, which I dropped as soon as I heard from some comments that Fate's manga adaptations are generally not that good. Loved the fights in this one a lot more, also Rin-Archer interaction might be one of my favorite aspects to watch through the series. Got hyped up to see characters again like Kotomine, Giglamesh or Illya (especially her and ESPECIALLY for her being a master this time).
I'm still not the biggest Emiya fan (sorry ^^") but I enjoyed seeing him as an MC, probably a bit more than Rin, and showing more his interactions with Kiritsugu when growing up. Loved his interaction with Archer as well, the fight between them was actually pretty cool. Caster was a character I enjoyed to watch this time, not a big favorite compared to others but she was pretty good.
Of one thing that I wasn't a big fan in this Fate series was the whole Shirou x Rin plot. I got curious about it, do you like them as a couple? And what do you ship in Fate in general? Honestly I always thought that Shirou/Saber was the gonna be the main focus when it came to romance.
Kinda similar how it happened with Zero, but S2/part 2 was what got me more.
I liked Emiya and Archer's inner conflict a lot, as well as their fights and the Archer's real idenity plot twist. Giglamesh's character was great on this second part as well, the whole Illya thing was heartbreaking once more. (I feel that I liked the final battle here more than in Zero too). Can't remember if you liked Archer here, but he still remains as my favorite in Unlimited Blade Works and kinda in general. Absolutely loved the final battle here, found even more tension on it.
A list here would be:
Archer
Saber
Giglamesh
Illya
Caster
Rin
Velvet
Shirou
Kotomine
Sakura
Favorite soundtracks:
I wanted to start Fate/Apocrypha and Grand Order (First Order) next, mainly because of Jeanne and Kyrielight, is it okay to keep going there or should I follow a different order? Outside of characters that appear in the anime adaptations, I do have more favorites (like Nobunaga), but I will spam to you about them in your thread. ^^
Yeah, poor Allen The story's definitely at a difficult point now, but I dunno if her health allows for a faster release.... But I wish her the best nevertheless, and will try to stick with until the very end
Agreed, and in the end, she still manages to make the story very interesting and shows that she still cares about keeping sense into the story, hopefully we can keep it to the end. ^^
At first I thought that was only their style of music but as I kept listening you were right, they do have two sides which I find very original and creative, but I prefer the Velvet side as well in the end. But this one I have been listening a lot lately:
Red Velvet’s 3rd mini album “Russian Roulette” has been released. Listen and download on iTunes & Apple Music, Spotify, and Google Play Music http://smarturl...
playlist like this is useful if you want to get into it. Not every MV there is lore-related, but the main ones are. It includes teasers/films as well. All of the theories surrounding it ended up inspiring later developments to some degree, so the entire thing is kind of a collaboration between the group and fans.
Thank you for it! Checked it a bit, and went to some pages discussions, it's full of it honestly, also it seems that each song individually already have their own "complex" backstory. Currently re-listening to some and this one is great in particular

Butterfly is good, though my favourite [x x] song is Satellite. There is also [+ +]'s Heat (written as 열기). It's significance is it was my first favourite song before I learned more Loona songs. Basically liked the song with a blind test
I'm not a MV expert, that's Gary's expertise. I often just listen to stuff on the background, except when detailed analysis is somehow needed on the MVs
At first I thought that was only their style of music but as I kept listening you were right, they do have two sides which I find very original and creative, but I prefer the Velvet side as well in the end. But this one I have been listening a lot lately:
Ah yeah, Russian Roulette is one of the Red songs I do happen to like as well. Probably my favorite with Zimzalabim. But their Velvet side is just waaay more to my liking I think. A lot of the Red stuff is just too cute and bright...
Thank you for it! Checked it a bit, and went to some pages discussions, it's full of it honestly, also it seems that each song individually already have their own "complex" backstory. Currently re-listening to some and this one is great in particular
Their videos with the full group seem to have them stuck in some sort of time loop, where each new one is a similar but in another timeline (at least that's the case for Hi High and So What, Butterfly was kind of unconnected to the lore for the most part). So it has some of the people into the solo and subunit lore a bit frustrated, but there's still a lot there I think. Just have to see where they take it.
That was the B-side version to Vivi's single. I actually prefer it to Every Day I Love You. I think it was the last solo b-side that had it's own MV too, as I think by the time they got the 5th girl they realized they were spending too much money.
The MV itself or the song? Or both? That comeback was pretty artsy and took a lot of risks you don't often see in Kpop, it earned them a lot of new fans.
I met him was so cute when he came to me. the bell rang
also
have I told you about Victoria? the new member but i am not sure about her breed. she has long fur, long furry tail, and short legs. maybe i should take pic of her
she was actually not that friendly. but since Lennon, Victoria and her siblings hang out a lot, Victoria became friendly to me as well one of her siblings too. he used to run away when i tried to touch him back then. but he is friendly now Victoria's fur color is black and white, what is it called? tuxedo? her sibling is all black. i have yet to give him name haha. also i swear i saw a lot of Victorias from that house, but why is there only one victoria now hmmmmmm
sometimes when i see cats that are friendly to human, i feel soft. i mean they are so innocent. they immediately come to me. good thing i am just a cat lover. what if someone bad comes? kidnap them and poison them? awwwww poor thing

Don't worry, I understand Being curious is a good thing : D
And the manga's called Fate/Type Redline. It's still relatively new, like 10 chapters or so. You could definitely read it, you know enough of the basics to understand this one just fine, and I don't think there are any other potentially big spoilers in there.
You can check out this PV for the first volume if you're curious:
First of, in my defense I did try to let my hype out to you on slack, but you were into the VN talk hype that day so we couldn't talk about it.

Trying to blame me for the late response? That's pretty mean
But on to the important stuff:
I agree that it starts slow, but personally I was on board once Saber vs Lancer happened... That it's pretty dark is both a positive and a negative for me. I like heavy stuff bc it tackles you in ways that a happy story can't, but I also think that sometimes it's a bit too edgy. Don't misunderstand me, I really like Fate/Zero, but mb that's part of why I prefer Fate/Stay Night. It revels less in the misery of it's chars (Kariya is a very good example). Agreed that the Sakura part really makes you go "whoa..." though.
And ufotable has definitely grown a lot since then, but considering how old Fate/Zero is by now, it still is really amazing to see. Some fights also still look very nice, even today.
Not surprised you dislike the insanity duo, haha I think they're interesting characters in a way, but I'm not a big fan of them either. Seeing "crazy" characters can be pretty fascinating in a way, but I prefer more complex characters like Kirei.
Funny that you like Jeanne so much when you know so little about her xP She's a mixed bag for me, and I found her mostly boring in Apocrypha, but she has her moments.
About the Banquet of Kings, I actually asked Marmy about that one when she finished Zero xD She liked it as well, and I agree that it's one of the best scenes in the anime.
Your rank is rather low, but I sorta expected you would like Fate/Stay Night more than Zero anyway.
I loved the first three episodes so much, this is kinda where I really started to love and understand more characters besides Lancer, Rider and Saber. I think this is where I started to feel the actual hype for Kiritsugu, I mean I did like him a lot in S1 already but the whole strategy on Lancer and Kayneth left me speechelss (especially because I liked Lancer... ). OH, loved Saber vs Lancelot, that little plot twist was pretty great, loved the fight in general.
Yeah, Kiritsugu is really ruthless when it's about fulfilling his wish... It's easy to misunderstand him I think, and most people either like or hate him xD I can see both sides, he's a bit too edgy perhaps, but I can also understand why he did what he did. He's not an awful person by any means if you ask me, even if his "efforts" didn't pay off in the end.
And Saber is good in Zero already, but I think she shines more brightly in FSN
No doubt the whole Matou business is the most horrible part of the anime. Never cared for Kariya all that much, but you definitely feel sad for him with all that happened =/ The whole Matou/Tohsaka deal is hard to swallow, and in the end all of them ended up suffering bc of that.
lol yeah, Kotomine basically got corrupted by Gilgamesh. Then again, he would prolly say he just embraced his true nature, haha. I think that last part of Zero is very strong in general, and the fights for me still is one of my personal favs for anime overall.
And I agree that it has a lot of FMA vibes there, now that you mention it
Btw, I don't think it actually gets mentioned in either anime, but Kiritsugu actually tried to get Ilya again and again after Zero, but the EInzberns blocked him each time. They were very angry after what he did in the 4th war, understandably so I guess... But yeah, poor Ilya and Kiritsug
You would like to see a Saber vs Gilgamesh fight? Then go and read the Visual Novel More about that later, though.
That's a good list! Sorta surprised you like Gilgamesh that much, I wasn't a big fan of him after Zero lol (can't deny he was sorta cool, though). Also funny how you keep using Velvet I think I would disagree about some placements, but the general idea is good (but hey, you missed Zouken )
I remember I actually started the first few episodes from a manga, which I dropped as soon as I heard from some comments that Fate's manga adaptations are generally not that good.
Yup, it's nice seeing all these chars again Rin-Archer interactions are gold most of the time, they actually work better together than Shirou and RIn if you ask me Illya is cool too, though understand how she thinks and why she does what she does isn't portrayed too well in this part I think. Another reason why you should read the VN, but more on that later :3
And it's okay about Shirou. I don't think anyone's a big fan of him if they only saw UBW, bc that's honestly only one part and it cuts almost all of his inner thoughts, sadly. The whole Archer vs Shirou fight was also changed HEAVILY from the visual novel, and honestly I'm not that big a fan. It's not bad, but I also think it had more impact in the novel, even if it was less action-y there (mb that's why).
I'm fine with Rin x Shirou but as you prolly noticed I'm not a big fan. I ship him either with Saber or Sakura, but if I had to pick one final pick I think that maaaaaybe Shirou x Saber works best. Sakura x Shirou is also very wholesome and good, but also more... complicated I guess, for various reasons.
There aren't that many other pairings I'm shipping tbh, but I guess there are some I can tell you about a later point :3
Archer actually was one of my absolute favs too, though again I think he's better in the VN. Figured you would like him as well, hehe. And I agree that the final battle was amazing, maybe the best part of the whole anime (tell me, did you see the plot twist about Archer's identity coming? I felt it was a lot more obvious in the anime, but mb that's bc I knew it already)
About your ranking, Kirei and Shirou are awfully low But I can see why, so it's cool. Rest looks good to me, Sakura barely even appeared in UBW so I'm surprised she's on your list
Some very nice pics (especially 2,3 and the last one). Sword of Promised Victory and "Emiya" are tracks with a lot of different versions bc they're very iconic and beloved. Think my favourite versions of those are from the VN:
(only the normal version for this bc the other one would be too spoilery~)
I wanted to start Fate/Apocrypha and Grand Order (First Order) next, mainly because of Jeanne and Kyrielight, is it okay to keep going there or should I follow a different order? Outside of characters that appear in the anime adaptations, I do have more favorites (like Nobunaga), but I will spam to you about them in your thread. ^^
Okay revo, hear me out. I know you want to watch Apo bc of Jeanne, but the show is honestly not all that good. It's generally considered average by most people, and while there's no reason to not watch it eventually, there's definitely other things you should watch first.
Watching "First Order" is okay, but again don't expect anything great. It's an okay adaptation of the beginning of the game, and helps you enjoy+ understand Fate/Grand Order: Babylonia (a good Fate anime, but that's not for now), but that's it. Really not sure if you should pick this either.
So here's the deal. Go and read the Visual Novel! Join Marmy and have fun, I think you'll like it. You could even skip the UBW route now that you've watched the anime. I think it would still be worth it bc of some changes, but you wouldn't miss that much if you want to save time or something.
Now please join Marmy, and make both of us happy Me or Marmy can tell you how to get it easily, no worries there.
If you really, really don't want to do that... I suggest you can go and watch the Heavens Feel movies. Only 2 of 3 are available atm, the last one got postponed bc of Corona, but it's still very much worth your time, I promise. Illya gets the short stick in this adaptation, she's sort of the second heroine in that route, but bc of length they had to cut some of her scenes - Outside of that though, it's a really good adaptation.
So there's your alternative if you don't wanna try the VN...
After that it's okay to watch Apo, though if you like Illya you could also watch Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Ilya. It's quite entertaining and a good adaptation until "Drei", at which point I would recommend switching to the manga. Oh, but only watch this if you're okay with some loli fanservice and yuri stuff (ofc you have nothing agains the latter haha), this part bugs some people.
Anyway, my message: Read the VN (now I will stop annoying you about this, I promise )
revo-nyan, it's winter down there right? keep warm

after long gone, Regal appeared again. apparently he fought another male cat. his back is scarred. he kinda became aggressive, probably due to the injuries. and he rubbed his back onto the sandy ground.
also his mistress again was seen carrying a plastic bag I think there's something in that bag.
when I was a kid, I played with cats without paying attention, but now I am adult, between male cats and female ones, the faces are distinguishable. and the way they walk too :3
