Okay, let me put it another way. 3 year veteran that's confirmed to be a handful of months away from ending suddenly starts making its way towards the bottom.
All of these new series with no real reason to be above it are above it. One would assume they're trying to get more exposure for the new series that need growth, instead of the almost ended series that needs no more new readership.
As to your other point, where are you getting this "overall opinion" that the Rizu arc is boring? Because unless you live in Japan and know the majority of people who read the manga weekly in Jump, that's a pretty non-existent argument.
Yeah, it's exactly like that for your two first paragraphs. The same happened in the past for other romcom like Nisekoi, To love Ru and Yunna itself. And the fact that WNL still gets CP out there just shows that they are still willingly to promote, just not to put it high for a series about to end that isn't a huge seller like Neverland.
So who will Jump push as Jump staple now? They lost Tragedy Tanjiro, and they are about to lose Lonely Emma. Denji and Yuuji are the hot picks/next in line, but I also want the to put Kei in there
I think both of you are not really understanding that i'm not saying We Never Learn is literally receiving "less votes" than a manga like Guardian of the Witch, but that the last place, something that you don't see happening with any other veteran that isn't really dropping in sales or overall popularity, its a reflection of the current state of the manga, a series that is already with a "final" announced, sales dropping and Rizu route not being really good, we can all try to be "vague" about things, but like i said, i've been following the toc for enough time to notice the pattern with long running series dropping to the back of the magazine at the same time sales and quality drops too.
I don’t get what your implying. You’re last statement seems to insinuate that this is overall connected to it ending, but we can all probably agree the WNL is receiving a natural ending, and one that the mangaka intended.
My initial statement was that WNL’s placement probably means nothing. It reached it peaks sales already(and it was never a huge seller to begin with), and its reception holds no value anymore to the TOC. It’s fate and endings is already set stone. There’s no reason to put it in front.
And unlike something like a Demon Slayer or Neverland, it’s not exactly a pillar of the magazine. There’s no real incentive to put it in the front anymore when we’re bringing in tons of new stuff
So, because I got interest in the amount of Covers, CPs and LCPs the series has had over the years. I decided to do a google sheet that supously was only going from the 90s to now, but decided to go all in and do all of Jump. (Atleast the series that defined the magazine and some relevant series that lasted for a bit). And its updated until the new ToC issue of today.
Here is the link to see it much better, just delete the line between the t's in https:
It starts on 1969 because on the magazine first year, it was mostly real life images covers.
In the covers part, because in the beginnings of the magazine it was more usual for 3-4 series to shared the cover, I decided to count as a "+1" for the series that appeared and did the same with the rest of the years. So examples like this:
are counted as a +1 for Yuuna and +1 for WNL.
Sequels are considered if they run on Jump. Example: Bobobo and Shin Bobobo Covers, CPs and LCPs are in the same row.
If any of you guys think I left one that shoul be included, tell me please to add it. And sorry if I couldnt design more nicely the sheet, Im not good with it tbh.
Thanks to @yadayada and @revo68 for helping me with the source links to be able to find the CPs and LCPs parts, specially for the beginnings to 90s series.
Sources used to do this:
Interesting how Haikyuu has the second most colour pages out of all manga that have ever been serialised in Jump, right after Kochikame. Would've never guessed that one.

I am a super fan of Kei, but I don't think I will ever see her as a Jump staple.
Damn shame, she got the wrong chromosome to be face of the BOY magazine like Luffy or Tanjiro.

I hope this is the case. I’m seeing it as a mix of action, comedy, fanservice, and romance. This may change when I read the chapter, if it focuses on one thing or the other. All in all, the more I see, the more excited I get. I just want this to be good. If that’s the case, then this can easily become a mainstay in the magazine.
Also read the HeroAca spoilers. He fucking chooses now to go on a break, of course. By the way, which series have had breaks the past few weeks?
I've been making some calculations. If I'm right and if Haikyuu truly ends with this game, then the manga is ending in 15 chapters (chapter 410 or 411), in volume 46. That would mean the issue of 28th September if it doesn't get any breaks.
I repeat this is just a guess based on some calculations I did about the length of the sets and how is volume 45 going. And it totally depends on Haikyuu truly ending with this game and not stretching further.
As expected, Oda keeping his track record of congratulating every single mangaka that he previously mentioned in an author comment for finishing their manga.
