Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

Guys, talking about a user exclusively is against the rules, so let's not go down that route, please.

Anyway, CSM is doing well. I totally believe, after having read it, that once it reaches a certain level of popularity, it'll explode.
My wish for the series is for it to be a million+ seller per volume which would give Fujimoto all the free reign he'll ever need.

I truly believe it has potential.

KnY was neither of those things.
Can only speak towards the anime (what got it to explode), but it had wholesome moments, many of them between Tanjirou and Nezuko, Zenitsu and his old man backstory, Zenitsu and those kids in that tower, actually one could say each anime arc had them. And it got really fluffy at times, how he was a doting brother, a doting friend, zenitsu crying for/on him, tanjiru crying and professing gladness and glee for folks he saved or made it out of situations well.

After that, theres little to no sense of characters being emotionally connected or concerned with each others well being.
Do you not read the series? I know I'm being baited here, but the entire current arc is LITERALLY about just that. From multiple characters, even.

I can only count one, in the very beginning. After that, theres little to no sense of characters being emotionally connected or concerned with each others well being. Never saw Denji ever express any type of joy over his seeing his companions or peers outwitting, outplaying, or outlasting any of the situations they are thrown in when they met in the arcs resolutions. It's pretty sterile in this regard.
LMAO WHAT??? Have you actually been reading this series?

it could only get hat high if it were wholesome and fluffy. It doesnt scream half-a-million seller if I had to set goal post. I dont see how or what, if anything, it offers to more casual ordinary / occasional manga readers. It might even turn people off and be something they can't really watch or read with friends and family.
Wholesome and fluffy will score you a hell of a lot of upvotes on the manga subreddit, but that obviously doesn’t translate to sales. And even then, Chainsaw Man’s super popular on there without that stuff. It’s practically taken Kimetsu’s spot as the top current Jump property there.

Chainsaw Man’s doing well. Hell, I’m surprised it managed to actually survive in WSJ, let alone thrive. Can’t say the same about most of the newbies, haven’t had a real hit since then. Except maybe MASHLE.

There's also the fact that, outside of One Piece, CSM leaks spoilers the earliest, I believe.

That's pretty telling, if we're evaluating popularity.

Attack on Titan, Death Note were definitely not wholesome and fluffy, Shark.
That's a weak bait and you know it. C+ for that one

People would put Shingeki in that category considering the childhood friends relationship Eren and Mikasa and Armin have, as well as Ymir and Christa, Marco and Reiner as well as the inspiring uplifting message of determination against the odds in the series, its actually similar to KnY with that sense that uplifts you/makes you feel good with how the anime frames/presents the story. The series leaves you with a wholesome feeling.

-
You can frame Death Note in the wholesome fluffy frame, consider Light and L [non-shipping here], L really finding a friend and having that sort of thing that he's missed all his life with Light. L and his butler, Light and his dad. Light and his sister. The Police Force as well.

Im unsure of Death Note's sales/circulation (final) unfortunately.

-
Your BLack Clover point was fair. It did take a bit of time for the chemistry between characters to get going as Asta and Yuno were both outsiders. But once they got established in their units, I'd say it is one of the most wholesome and fluffy series in the magazine.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how popular TPN's anime was in Japan? Did it get decent ratings or anything?

This just makes me wonder what ratings Kimetsu no Yaiba got then.

True, Tabata did a really great job in building and developing Asta chemistry between Yuno and the Black Bulls, it feels totally like a family and a good and healthy friendship/rivarly with Yuno, their bonds is one of the most wholesome things on SJ at the moment, i will also forever love the slap in the face by Tabata in all of the "Yuno is just a Sasuke clone" people kkkk

We'll never know (Actually, Chihayafuru season 3 managed to break into the top 10 and it was a late night show, I had forgotten about that).

There hasn't been any info about KnY's rating. I think the only one was from Abema, Amazon, but this is only views. It got the first place/to top 3 of the most viewed anime last year.

Speaking of which, if s2 ever gets announced, what are the odds of being broadcasted on Nhk like snk?

Wait. Kimetsu never broke into top 10?
Not even once. The top 10 is comprised mostly of long running series the air in ther morning or afternoon. One Piece and My Hero Academia have been the only two Jump animes able to place in the top 10.
