The MV itself or the song? Or both? That comeback was pretty artsy and took a lot of risks you don't often see in Kpop, it earned them a lot of new fans. :nod
I can imagine! :nod And I meant both the song and the MV, though I especially enjoy their artistic graphics, especially how all the girls act on it.
:3

I met him :zomg was so cute when he came to me. the bell rang :XD

also

have I told you about Victoria? the new member :zomg but i am not sure about her breed. she has long fur, long furry tail, and short legs. maybe i should take pic of her 🤔

she was actually not that friendly. but since Lennon, Victoria and her siblings hang out a lot, Victoria became friendly to me as well :XD one of her siblings too. he used to run away when i tried to touch him back then. but he is friendly now :XD Victoria's fur color is black and white, what is it called? tuxedo? her sibling is all black. i have yet to give him name haha. also i swear i saw a lot of Victorias from that house, but why is there only one victoria now hmmmmmm :notsure :ninja

sometimes when i see cats that are friendly to human, i feel soft. i mean they are so innocent. they immediately come to me. good thing i am just a cat lover. what if someone bad comes? kidnap them and poison them? awwwww poor thing :pout
Waiting for Victoria's pics spam Kiki-tan :zomg
revo-nyan, it's winter down there right? keep warm :hbunny
We're in the middle of Winter right now yes >.<
It's giving a lot of fear for the virus now (since it can endure more) but staying at home on Winter holidays it's soo good. I'm keeping warm, thank you, drinking warm drinks like crazy everyday 😊
after long gone, Regal appeared again. apparently he fought another male cat. his back is scarred. he kinda became aggressive, probably due to the injuries. and he rubbed his back onto the sandy ground.

also his mistress again was seen carrying a plastic bag :XD I think there's something in that bag.

when I was a kid, I played with cats without paying attention, but now I am adult, between male cats and female ones, the faces are distinguishable. and the way they walk too :3
Cats and their violent night fights hahahaha is he better now though? :worrybunny
I can't really make the difference between their faces, but it's true that the way they walk mark the difference! Also the personality in general and how they approach you.
Don't worry, I understand :nod Being curious is a good thing : D
And the manga's called Fate/Type Redline. It's still relatively new, like 10 chapters or so. You could definitely read it, you know enough of the basics to understand this one just fine, and I don't think there are any other potentially big spoilers in there.

You can check out this PV for the first volume if you're curious:
I'm gonna give it a try!! Especially because I'm more of a manga-person than anime-series one.
Trying to blame me for the late response? That's pretty mean :feelsbadman
Nooooooo not at all, I just felt ignored that time :emocat but it was just me, don't worry.
I agree on the whole edgy part, that's kinda my issue with Kiritsugu, even if I like him a lot in the anime because of his complex side and his difference of ideas with Saber, he gave me a vibe of "his backstory is tragic and cool but maybe too much already", hence why he didn't make it to my favorites, I like serious characters but not those who are too in the emo side. :sweat

And I usually like "crazy-psycho characters" (Kimlee from FMA, Rena from Higu and Rize from TG are one of my faves) but I felt that that was the only side of their characters: yelling like crazy and making mega gore psycho moments, there wasn't anything else going on, a backstory, ideologies for being like that, etc. But maybe I'm overthinking them too much.

And maybe I'm giving the wrong impression, but I actually liked Zero more than UBW :0.
That's a good list! Sorta surprised you like Gilgamesh that much, I wasn't a big fan of him after Zero lol (can't deny he was sorta cool, though). Also funny how you keep using Velvet :lmao I think I would disagree about some placements, but the general idea is good ;) (but hey, you missed Zouken :lambirb )
I didn't expect to like him so much either tbh but he got great to me, and it grew more with UBW, I want to try his anime where he's main protagonist, just to enjoy his screentime :3 (Giglamesh with hair down is potenital husbando for me).

B-but... Zouken is the Shou Tucker of Fate/Zero. :lambirb
wow, you troll. I like it :3 I see Magi is teaching you a thing or two.

And I would never kill you, what are you saying :hug At this point it's honestly more weird to see people who aren't a bit spoiled already haha.
:bobriki
Maga gave me quite the training yes :blush but I also wanted to make it up to you for taking so long hahaha so tried to watch UBW without breaks.
Yup, it's nice seeing all these chars again :zomg Rin-Archer interactions are gold most of the time, they actually work better together than Shirou and RIn if you ask me :XD Illya is cool too, though understand how she thinks and why she does what she does isn't portrayed too well in this part I think. Another reason why you should read the VN, but more on that later :3

And it's okay about Shirou. I don't think anyone's a big fan of him if they only saw UBW, bc that's honestly only one part and it cuts almost all of his inner thoughts, sadly. The whole Archer vs Shirou fight was also changed HEAVILY from the visual novel, and honestly I'm not that big a fan. It's not bad, but I also think it had more impact in the novel, even if it was less action-y there (mb that's why).

I'm fine with Rin x Shirou but as you prolly noticed I'm not a big fan. I ship him either with Saber or Sakura, but if I had to pick one final pick I think that maaaaaybe Shirou x Saber works best. Sakura x Shirou is also very wholesome and good, but also more... complicated I guess, for various reasons.
There aren't that many other pairings I'm shipping tbh, but I guess there are some I can tell you about a later point :3

Archer actually was one of my absolute favs too, though again I think he's better in the VN. Figured you would like him as well, hehe. And I agree that the final battle was amazing, maybe the best part of the whole anime :zomg (tell me, did you see the plot twist about Archer's identity coming? I felt it was a lot more obvious in the anime, but mb that's bc I knew it already)
About your ranking, Kirei and Shirou are awfully low :nah But I can see why, so it's cool. Rest looks good to me, Sakura barely even appeared in UBW so I'm surprised she's on your list :XD

Some very nice pics :blush (especially 2,3 and the last one). Sword of Promised Victory and "Emiya" are tracks with a lot of different versions bc they're very iconic and beloved. Think my favourite versions of those are from the VN:

(only the normal version for this bc the other one would be too spoilery~)
Well I ship Archer and Rin so you will know my position about this

But outside of the shipping side I agree with you too, their relationship was one of the best things to see for me, it was complex and had a nice development.

Years ago, when starting in the anime world and seeing Saber everywhere, I loved the way she looked with Emiya in some pics of them I saw on anime sites, then someone showed me years later Emiya-Sakura interactions on a manga series and liked them a lot too, so we agree in this as well :nod
Rin/Emiya isn't really a bad couple but maybe comes too... generic, normal? At least to me, I just feel the master-servant romance more interesting, and his interactions with Sakura are heartwarming by knowing the true nature and backstory of her. I really never knew why Rin x Emiya is so popular, but well I still have a lot of Fate material to check xD.

I expected to like Rin a lot, but I just got more into other Fate girls.

Also yeah, honestly UBW doesn't bring Emiya's character out for me too much, but I'm sure in the VN I will manage to like him! ^^ Especially since I read in a forum discussion that his character gets more deep and developed outside of the anime series.
Okay revo, hear me out.

I know you want to watch Apo bc of Jeanne, but the show is honestly not all that good. It's generally considered average by most people, and while there's no reason to not watch it eventually, there's definitely other things you should watch first.
Watching "First Order" is okay, but again don't expect anything great. It's an okay adaptation of the beginning of the game, and helps you enjoy+ understand Fate/Grand Order: Babylonia (a good Fate anime, but that's not for now), but that's it. Really not sure if you should pick this either.

So here's the deal. Go and read the Visual Novel! :XD Join Marmy and have fun, I think you'll like it. You could even skip the UBW route now that you've watched the anime. I think it would still be worth it bc of some changes, but you wouldn't miss that much if you want to save time or something.
Now please join Marmy, and make both of us happy :blushbirb Me or Marmy can tell you how to get it easily, no worries there.

If you really, really don't want to do that... I suggest you can go and watch the Heavens Feel movies. Only 2 of 3 are available atm, the last one got postponed bc of Corona, but it's still very much worth your time, I promise. Illya gets the short stick in this adaptation, she's sort of the second heroine in that route, but bc of length they had to cut some of her scenes - Outside of that though, it's a really good adaptation.

So there's your alternative if you don't wanna try the VN...

After that it's okay to watch Apo, though if you like Illya you could also watch Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Ilya. It's quite entertaining and a good adaptation until "Drei", at which point I would recommend switching to the manga. Oh, but only watch this if you're okay with some loli fanservice and yuri stuff (ofc you have nothing agains the latter haha), this part bugs some people.

Anyway, my message: Read the VN (now I will stop annoying you about this, I promise :emobirb )
No no it's okay don't worry, I won't watch any of the other animes until I catch up with the VN :Haha
I just had many issues to install it, then like I commented you and Marmy my computer got problems in general and had to take it away... now I have to PM poor Marmy to help me with a problem I'm having to install the VN again.

Tbh I will try the animes anyways, when I finish, I'm kinda curious about them anyways and I never have high expectatives with anime adaptations in general hahaha. And you don't annoy me, it's okay, I appreciate the hype a lot and I'm actually the kind of person that needs thing to be a reminder constantly. :hug
Now it's my turn

Niiiiiiiiiiiii these fanarts are stunning, especially Ryouko and Rem :wtf (though, are you posting Rem spam here as a declaration of war? :blush:handgun ).
Thanks a lot :bobriki Where is your set from bythe way? It's stunnig as always.
I was actually doing the re-reading of some arcs for campaign material collection when I got the notification of chapter 401.
One more time I teared up, which I never do in sports mangas in general but Haikyuu always managed me to, Hinata and Kageyama made such a long development it's incredible, probably one of my favorite duos-rivals of anime in general, they went from competing with each other, to becoming and growing as allies for the entire series to finally have this epic match again as rivals, and now that final panel of them together with their names in the shirts... playing at such an important game, made me too emotional. Kuroo not keeping playing it's kinda sad, but I'm happy he's still in the world of sports anyways.

Next chapter will be completely epic, I'm sure of it, I'm more than satisfaced with this ending of the manga, it's realistic and a good one in the end, despite the bittersweet moments in general. I grew to like this series so much :emobirb

haha :XD yes he is :nod he starts to beg for food again :XD
oohhh :zomg let's exchange infos :blai

faces are tricky. but generally male face is fierce (?), big, with all those hard facial lines. female one is pretty, soft, small. but of course there's male cats with pretty face :XD and yes! the way they walk. females walk elegantly, males walk dashingly.

and oh wow! the persona and the approach. tell me more revo-nyan! :zomg i only knew: male meets male = violent fight especially when they are in the same place and beg for food, female > male once female takes over the food, male cant do anything :lmao sometimes if male wants the food, female claws them haha. whats more? and the way they approach us? how how revo? :blai

I'm enjoying the ton of FGO references in this manga you recommended Revs.

Also anybody about to take on the challenging but highly rewarding task of getting into the fate franchise should watch this, I think.

Yeah cats in street are generally violent when meeting for the first time! :0

Oooh on my experience (and kinda what I heard sometimes) female cats are the most violent ones, they're more aware and grumpy when meeting someone, if they are violent or not it can change (also the ones who had babies recently, more for protection mode activated, but they aren't to only unfriendly ones).
Males's do have more hard facial expressions, but they can be pretty much friendly overall? This difference between males and females happens a lot even with the domesticated ones, not only street honestly.

You mean Tonikkaku Kawaii Jamms? Surprised you picked it already!
The manga parodies manga/anime in general and makes a tons of references, it's great, you will even see a random Nezuko walking it the background :Haha

I love Gigguk's videos, they're informative but hilarious too, though I love his "X anime in 5 minutes the most" xD.
Gonna try this one soon, when watching his videos I always avoided this one because I was already full of Fate spoilers while watching Zero and UBW.

It's just basically him going through the exact conversation you had with Nii in a parody way and just how absurd the process of joining the Fate fandom is. There are no real spoilers there.

I lucked out and played the VN without really knowing what it was quite early on in my path to weebdom so I never really had to go through it. The eroge version not the tasteful all ages version that Nii prefers. No regrets.:pleased

Agreed, that's why I like it so much, it's just a simple series without anything too serious going on.

Yeah watching it right now and you're right. :lmao

What always got me of Fate is how many versions of a character are and the different connections they got, they also make a waifu out from any historical figure no matter what, it's an unstoppable waifu maker.

Eroge version? Interesting :hurr

Very relaxing. I'm also intrigued about who she is though. I thought alien at first, since that would be the funny thing to do. But given her strangely first hand knowledge of history I figure she's either Kaguya-hime or somebody similar.

It really is. And they aren't like weaksauce waifus either. The thing that keeps Fate strong IMO are the characters. Servants are most often written in a way that understands the appeal of the mythological figures but works it into it's story in creative ways. Artoria is sort of the prototype of that.

Where things get weird is how scattered and strangely detailed the lore is. That's where you need a walking Fate dictionary like @Nii to navigate it.

Eroge version? Interesting :hurr
That's how it all started. Everything Fate is actually a spin off of a naughty VN. Which is hilarious! :XD

I mean, we're talking about 30 or something minutes of "naughty" stuff in a VN that's 60-70 hours long (what gigguk said about a 100 hours is just plain wrong :XD Still very funny though, he makes good vids in general). So if you do the math that's like 1/120 of the whole package, which is basically... nothing. Could be 10 minutes longer maybe, but that's still barely anything.

That's why I usually don't like people saying the original was a porn game or something, they just had to add a little bit of that for sales back then, but later made openly clear that they would have rather not used them at all, and likely won't ever inluce that sorta stuff again. Plus, the content replacing these scenes is definitely better (besides maaaaybe the last route to some extent, for spoiler reasons).

Long story short, that's why I always recommend the new version, but ofc everyone's free to pick what he prefers :nod

That's the same ratio a lot eroges have (The Fruit of Grisaia, Majikoi), not that I'm an expert; or at least am not willing to admit to being an expert. But a lot of them are just VN with a tiny bit of heat to them.

I would say the first and third routes have some legitimate story reasons for the spiciness. My favorite route, ULBW, admittedly probably doesn't. On that route I'd agree without you. On the other two... just a bit of seasoning seems appropriate. At least to me.

Yes she's very unique, you will see, I'm not usually into these type of characters but Tsukasa is truly high waifu material, the mystery about her makes her better. :blush

Totally agreed, as a so far only-anime watcher I also love how they make the characters taken from historical figures still original and interesting, waifus there are great but some male characters are very cool too (I'm a fangirl of Archer Emiya and Giglamesh), but tbh there's such a variaton of girls, I like them all but still have my preferences.

Who are your favorite Servants, Jamms? Now we can finally talk about it.

What a question. To quote Gigguk, do you want the long answer or the short answer?:XD

The shortest answer, just including servants you know from the anime or will know from them, Mordred is my favorite. She's from Fate Apocrypha.

Followed by pretty much all of them. With the exception of the ones in Fate Zero not named Artoria or Gil. It's one of the reasons I never liked that as much as most Fate fans do. Weakest cast of servants in the series, IMO. Apocrypha, which a lot of fate fans don't care for as much, I loved because that show's cast of servants is crazy strong.

Which ones are your favorites so far?

Yeah I know her! She has a cool personality in general, I like her, saved some good fanarts of her.
Hahaha actually Artoria and Giglamesh are two favorites of mine :XD but my ultimate favorites are Nobunaga and Mash, followed by Jeanne, Iskander and Archer (EMIYA) .
(I did enjoy Lancer from Zero too).

Apocrypha is an anime I want to watch soon, have to finish the VN but I have to paused so far. :sweat
Curious about it now, do you dislike Fate/Zero in general or just the Servants in general?
The fact that it has a Central icon makes it worse and better :XD
Different thing, but I was watching this today :lmao

Hahaha actually Artoria and Giglamesh are two favorites of mine :XD but my ultimate favorites are Nobunaga and Mash, followed by Jeanne, Iskander and Archer (EMIYA) .
(I did enjoy Lancer from Zero too).
Can't go wrong with Nobu or Mashu. :pleased

Apocrypha is an anime I want to watch soon, have to finish the VN but I have to paused so far. :sweat
Curious about it now, do you dislike Fate/Zero in general or just the Servants in general?
Dislike is probably too strong a way to put it. It's just not.. what I want from Fate.

Here's the thing about me in general. I like characters. The interesting parts about Artoria as a character aren't in Fate Zero. They're in Fate Stay Night. I think Zero is a well told story and a well made anime. But I don't think the story or characters are as strong as Fate Stay Night. Which is a very character focused story. Each route in that novel is about specific characters and goes very in depth into all of them. That sense of attachment and understanding of who these characters are and the full meaning of what they're doing really appeals to me. Zero is one of the weaker Fate series in that respect, or at least I thought so.

Yeah, I get it, I kinda agree tbh, UBW focused more on certain characters and they had an actual char. development more than in Zero (even Giglamesh got a better focus in UBW).
I guess I liked a bit more how the "war" was constructed in Zero, also some certain interactions between characters were my favorites the most. I'm also not a big fan of Emiya (Shirou) and Rin was cool but not my favorite girl ever (though I enjoyed Rin as a protagonist FAR more than Shirou).

Nii and I disagree on Shirou a bit. But I also think he's a bit..well..

That said, I don't dislike him. The issue with him is that what's good about him was spread out over multiple routes in the visual novel. Which is pretty cool but unnecessarily complicated. Which is very Fate. There are things about him that are extremely annoying but most of those thing get addressed which is refreshing. There is an actual thematic purpose for him and I appreciate that.

Still, he doesn't hold up against the truly great Fate characters IMO.

If I say what I truly feel about Emiya I'm gonna hurt Nii's feelings so to put it simply, I agree with you, especially with the fact that he doesn't really hold with most good Fate characters. I kinda always felt like that about him, like he's a different type of character of the whole rest of the cast, as if there's some different writting on his character.

That said, I'm seeing this based on anime and manga, when I catch up with the VN, I might hold a better opinion about him.
Do you like/ship Shirou x Rin by the way?:o

Nii's pretty tough, he can take it. But to really have an in depth talk about Shirou and we'd have to go all the way into spoiler town. So probably best to avoid that for now.

As for Rin ships. Yeah, I do. But it's a little more complicated than that. In order to explain further I'd have to spoil the VN though. Suffice it to say that the end of the Unlimited Blade Works anime isn't the only ending available. That other ending is my ship.

The anime ended with the "True Ending" the other ending is the "Good Ending", I believe.
