with the more things that are happening now, i'm regretting holding up the school banner at edsa 2 and shouting p0k^2 to the "dancing queen". maybe it would have been better if we've become a US state...that way we have the power to prevent Bush from winning...

But I totally forgot to mention to you all!

We're going to the Philippines before we go to Canada, and I'll probably be there for a week or two. Somewhere around early December. I know that the Philippines celebrate X-Mas rather early, so alot of you are gonna be out of school, or possibly work!

I hope I can get to meet one of you XD

I once went to one midnight church two years ago on our visit there, but I got sick half-way through the mass.

I wasn't used to the heat during December, plus the fact that I was fairly tired XD We slept really late and woke up early, because my tita wanted to go out everyday>.>

Then I vomited in the toilets >.>

And we'd be staying in Makati...hopefully, we'll be visiting my grandmother in Ilocos as well, but it depends whether my other relatives are free. If they aren't, only my dad will go. I'm really hoping we see her, though. There's a possibilty she has cancer, and the only family who gets to visit her is my dad, since all his brothers are in Canada.

But yeah! Cross your fingers that we get to go to Ilocos!

can all of you gurus tell me a solution how to restore a seemingly corrupted drive? the other partitions are working well, and this one partition suddenly stopped being recognized. my installers and back-ups are in that drive, and MY FF GAME! I can't end my day without playing FINAL FANTASY!

personally i'd prefer sp1 over sp2, since i dont use windows security anyway. its just that most programs, including games requires sp2. also sp2 is a hog. mostly just tweaks to make my xp look good. if it wasnt for windowblinds i'd go crazy

@TM: right right directx is owning. and "sulit" ika nga. btw i miss wine. last time i used it was 2 years ago i think

the URDAN raws mostly gets the tankos, or if not compiles them in a volume archive before putting it up the bot.

well the way i recover is through a DOS USB disk with norton ghost/partition magic/drive image. i also try using a linux live cd and transfer the critical files to the other drives.

Errr...what's maudlot? ^_^; You mean, if it doesn't go according to plan? XD Ahha, don't worry. It's a definite this time. My dad is in serious need to visit his mother, and we need to get to Canada before the given time expires, and so my mom can get back in time for her job here by January.

We're celebrating X Mas in Canada, but after that, my mom has to return and work here :P (as long as my dad is in Canada, we won't lose our citizenship...thingy. >.>)

Ate Sai: What does the error message say? Lord, that sucks! I know how it feels >< I lost three years worth of saved images once when our drive caught a virus Hopefully, there's a way to fix yours before anything else happens >.>

@bbsai: try system restore first. it might be a system bug(you should hope it is). otherwise it's in the partition itself, w/c is a harder problem than it sounds. if it is in the partition, er hm.................................... what technique.............. hmmm....... try readjusting the hard disk inside, maybe its loose. most likely not... hmmmm..... how about.... nah.... im beat. bring it to a technician, thats what any girl would do

oh yeah! TM's right, a drive image would work. norton ghost is fine but partition magic is better, just try running those and see if the drive can be recovered. its not 100% guaranteed all files but at least some will surely be

oh yeah system restore... hmm maybe that would work. I don't want to bring it to the technician kasi I just need it to last a few more days.. I'm buying a new cpu this weekend (at sana di nanaman MAUDLOT <--for DZ, hehe).

@DZ, i think maudlot more literally means "pulled out", or that it can mean interrupted or not pushing through, or something to that context.
and no, i don't think it's a virus. hrrm... hopefully not.

well I got to recover my files... and transfered them to a different partition.. I haven't tried formatting the corrupted partition though, so i dunno if it can still be saved or what. -_-

i have a submission for my thesis this monday and I haven't done a thing. AAhh, this is what emulators do.

@KTT, so that "scam" is still up? man I thought it was over.

AND!! I cleaned my house today! wee. for the first time in two months. whew. feels so good to take a bath in a squeeky clean bathroom, and clothes-less bed, and floor clear of all the clutter. I'm back in business.

no the scam is not still up, but GONE!!!! most of the controversial youtube vids showing ABS-CBN/Wowowee in bad light has been "flagged" and "taken down". but the others, same context, different content NOT degrading to ABS-CBN are still up...
