Viz posted 1-5 a week ago so it makes sense they'd stay caught up. Manga+ has been posting 2 chapters a week on Wednesdays with 4 and 5 going up yesterday but now they haven't posted 6 looking like they're going to be 6 days behind for some reason.

I wonder if it’s a deal Viz and Shueisha made or something? Cause this is weird. Maybe Shueisha would allow another company to translate Kaiju No. 8 but at the cost of being a week behind? Cause I think Viz is a Shueisha subsidiary. So how is Viz all caught up when MangaPlus isn’t?

Shueisha actually owns Manga+ though. It seems weird they are doing it to begin with instead of just using Viz's version like the other Jump+ series they share.

So, forget this entire goddamn conversation we jsut had about Kaiju No. 8:

Chapter 6 came out on MangaPlus. We're now caught up with the raw release. This is like the third time somethin weird happens with Kaiju, we talk about it, and when we're finished, it's fixed. xD

So now we have Kaiju No. 8 simultaneously being published worldwide by Shueisha. Finally. I guess it just took so long to translate and typeset and stuff. I'll read Kaiju when there's more chapters. I'm still really interested in it.

Aren’t the guys translating 8Kaijuu at M+ freelancers? The ones translating it at Viz are the in-house team, right?

Maybe that’s why M+ is behind on purpose. They’re going to let the translators do theirs until their contract is up, and they’ll switch to the Viz version.

That's my guess, they maybe contracted a group do to it before Viz picked it up and now they're stuck with them.

I'd like Manga+ to be caught up since Viz's app doesn't work on my tablet but I don't mind them being behind too much, it means I've got a nice mini manga session on Wednesdays between Kaiju #8, Abyss Rage, and Vertical World. I like having multiple series to read in a row.

Man, I like Lillith and 2.5D Seduction, and I wanna be caught up on it, but from the looks of it... why do I get the feeling that the three other characters are more endearing than her? xD Like, the childhood friend's my favorite character so far, and now you got two more archetypes that vibe with me.

That's a lot of oneshots within a half-year period to all get published on Jump+. I'm surprised they haven't given him a series yet. They seem to like him, and all of his works definitely feel unique, even if when you take a step back, all 3 are kind of similar thematically. I'd be interested to see what they could do with a full serialization.

EDIT: I knew that the second one got translated almost immediately, but I never realized that the trumpet one got translated as well by the same Manga Editor. Gives me hope that the newest one will get translated as well.

Are any of these oneshots from any noteworthy mangaka? I know the second one was already mentioned and their 2 previous oneshots, but I thought the artwork for the first and third series were both really well-drawn in styles that looked pretty distinctive.

While unsurprising, I'm still saddened by it. I thought the series was cute, although not quite as entertaining as their previous archery series. Hopefully they'll be back with something new soon.

This is surprising, I thought this series was popular. This literally got U19 on jump plus. I don’t get why plus had axed a bunch of series recently. I get they are taking the app more seriously but goodness.

After the honeymoon phase, Kaiju No 8 is pretty standard stuff honestly. The only cool part is an adult MC
