Finally caught up.

Phantom Seer isn't bad, but it doesn't stand out much. There are a whole lot of series about ghosts, and making the MC a reluctant hero is also par for the course nowadays. As for the title, "The faintly visible boy" is more memorable, but I don't understand what it's referring to, while Phantom Seer is fitting but generic... I guess it just depends on which you prefer.

Time Paradox died with the "new" tag still on it (M+). Do they even have enough for two volumes? The ending was entirely unremarkable, sadly. The MC never learned anything, the Deus Ex Machina's advice miraculously solved everything even though it really shouldn't have, the whole time travel situation was never explained. I can't even tell where the paradox is supposed to be.

Cop & Dolphin is all over the place. I don't know what it's trying to do, but it needs to pick a genre/plotline/idea and stick with it for longer than five minutes.

Mashle quickly morphed from a gag manga into an action series. A little too quickly if you ask me - I don't dislike the latest developments, but we've had nothing but fights for seven chapters straight (out of 28) and the number of jokes has officially fallen to zero. Kind of feels like going from early Dragon Ball to Frieza in two volumes.

Yozakura on the other hand is surprisingly consistent. It started out as an episodic comedy action series and it's probably gonna stay that way. Which is fine, I mean, it's not gonna break any records any time soon, but it seems to have settled nicely in the middle of the magazine.

Most other new series don't do much for me. Ayakashi Triangle is missing a plot; Burn the Witch and Magu-chan have annoying characters; Agravity Boys, Me & Roboco and Moriking have an absurd-ish kind of humour that sometimes makes me laugh but more often not. (Also Moriking seems to have written itself into a corner, since there are only five king candidates and we already met four of them. Is it gonna be pure slice of life from now on?)

Platinum End is ending. Twin Star Exorcist is either ending or entering a new arc. World Trigger is definitely entering a new arc (finally).

Monster8 is my favourite out of the new Jump+ series, followed by World's end harem - Britannia Lumiére. Excuse me, dentist and Hokkaido gals are less interesting to me, but I'm still really glad we're getting more series on M+.

So there's no double title then, like how we got Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba?
Both series I can think of that got that (Demon Slayer and Food Wars) have it with the manga and anime so it was probably more about consistency than anything else. Since Viz calls it "Jujutsu Kaisen" it made sense to just keep that. I'm going to be curious what an eventual Kaiju/Monster No. 8 anime will be called lol.

Monster: Kaiju No.8 or something like that would be my best guess. XD

You guys are forgetting a lot of stuff that has been foreshadowed in My Hero Academia for so long that all of it can't quite possibily be solved until chapter 350, that's only 66 chapters left or a bit over a year of serialization. Plus, the series's longest arc so far is Shie Hassaikai with 41 chapters and the current one is the second longest with 30 chapters so far and counting. The final arc will probably be longer than both of them. Unless Horikoshi starts speeding up things, it should easily go beyond 350 chapters.
I mean, i can see it going for 380, but that's the max. There's foreshadowing, but the majority of them are interlinked, like AFO objective and the OFA reaching it max point of power, or are to small, and can be solved in less than 5 chapters, like Dabi identity and the traitor. I can't see Boku no hero going for 400 chapters

Undead above an established series (albeit the smallest), you love to see it.

Also Spy above MHA without an anime jesus christ.

How??? There is literally zero chance that it's not going over 400 chapter. ZERO.

Spy x Family is really about to outsell HeroAca, huh. This is... honestly really crazy to see.

I mean volume 4 has outsold volume 27 for mha by a significant margin and they were only a month apart

Out of curiousity, was Sand Land by Akira Toriyama a planned short series, like Comiq and Burn the Witch, or was it an axe?

Planned short, he said in a forward he only did It cause he wanted to draw tanks but It became a pain in the ass for him quickly but he finished it

Who do you think will be next veteran to return to WSJ for a mini-series? over the past decade, we've had

Akira Toriyama with Jaco
Kishimoto with Naruto Scarlet Spring (was more like an epilogue really, but it was a planned short run that was separate to the main series)
Kazuki Takahashi with The Comiq
and now Kubo with Burn the Witch

perhaps we'll see Sorachi do a mini-series? I'd be curious to see what kind of story he would do (whether Gintama related or original), and he did have a 15+ year long run alongside Oda, Kishimoto, and Kubo.

Think Oda will come back with many mini-series once One Piece is done. Having drawn for so many decades, I'm sure he will have the itch to draw.

No doubt he will, but One Piece won't be done for at least another 5 years. I expect we'll see a mini-series or two by the time Oda's finished OP and had a break and returned.

Definitely mini-series and he already said that he wanted to do a robot manga after One Piece.

Not sure why you're all surprised to see spy beating MHA, it already had with volume 4 and quite frankly, the expected result here for me is that this volume will easily go past MHA's peak 4week sales and break 700k instead.

Top20 is good enough for day 1 I suppose, hoping for top10 with so many beloved series out there would have been too much to hop for. Here's to hope it can keep its position for a while and that WSJ was not too careful and only gave out like 20k volumes in total before sending in the next 10k on a delay, That would hurt the sale numbers, I suppose 15th place was the best it got so far, so that's good?
SxF to say it with 101nemesis words, a monster like always, absolutely crazy how this series blew up and will probably blow up even more once it gets an anime.
