Jump could start this for real instead of just a mini series, at least something more different than the rest, it's rare to see a martial arts series on Jump

If they like exorcists or ghosts/yokai/monsters so much, someone should send in a Sport manga where everyone on the sport team is a yokai/western monster. Like call it "Monsterball" and either make up a rough rugby like game from scratch or make a soccer/baseball series. Either make it that the whole world are monsters aka no humans and have the mc and his school be of mixed heritage aka MC could be a Vampire with Oni horns for example and that this team wants to win respect and prestige for their school by going to Koshien or whatever it is called and winning it but all the other pure-bloode schools look down on them and their weaker powers due the mix of genes being not very accepted in their society thus the school for soley mixed children. Or make it that the team is only monsters but they live in a human world and have to keep their real looks, powers and quirks hidden from humanity due rules and avoiding Exorcists. And the coach is human and either they have to trick him all the time or he knows the truth and over the course of the series lose bits of his hair till he goes fully bald as a running gag. Or just have the MC be a non-human in a purely human sport team.
Like the first version could be all about tolerance, acceptance and diversity and the other about comedy, teamspirit and even battles with exorcists and the last a growing up as an other being among humans.
I mean, it could work in Jump, right?

Then you could have vampire, werewolf twins, oni, kitsune and an Incubus (he would be the trap character obviously) and such on the monster team in a human world and in the mixed monster heritage team the same but mixed vs pureblooded vampire, werwolves, oni, etc teams.

Yozakura it's a mix of comedy with action manga and some elements of romance, the manga doesn't have to spend chapters and chapters or a entire arc exploring romance since they're already in love and engaged from the first chapter and the series isn't a romance one, chapters like this week one are already enough to reinforce their love and make it stronger, why you're saying the series would be better as a "cliche novel"? it doesn't make any sense, Gondaira just made the best arc in the series so far with the last 6/7 chapters and you're talking about him not being interested in doing action lol
It's not a romcom, really. But it would be better if it were.
it reduced the parts of comedy and action, and worked the novel better.
It could be like Juliet in Shonen Magazine.

I would personally give it a couple more chapters. Not the best first chapter but the series still has a lot of potential as especially with world building, themes, the bond between the 2 brothers, and the antagonist
