Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

I’m definitely surprised with Cop and Dolphin rising up, and it’s even over Roboco, never expected that one lol

I guess with Dolphin rising back up a bit, it'll probably catch up with Roboco and Magu-chan in sales. Though we'll still need to wait to see if reprints have any effect on those two.

I'm curious what the print numbers are for new series like these anyway, it seems like almost everything that's not a total flop has reports of selling out everywhere ever since Samurai 8's over-printing. It makes me wonder if they're maybe only getting an initial print of 10-12k or something and physically can't do much better than they have, or if it's more like 15-20k and there's still a bunch of copies lying around in less busy shops.

I suppose it's a lot safer to print low at first and just reprint according to demand, but I always wonder if series like these would sell better or not if they had more copies in their initial print.

When does Jump typically first announce total print/circulation numbers for a series anyway? When the series hits 1 million copies?

Shonen Jump is a bit annoying with print numbers announcements, if i'm not wrong they never announced Hinomaru Zumou print numbers in the entire serialization, Dr. Stone took quite the time too, they should do like Jump Plus that is announcing when a series reach 100k copies, in this case we have Mashle, Undead Unluck and Yozakura Family, maybe Ayakashi is already at 100k too.

It depends on the series success. Stuff that are instant successes get reprints early like Shokugeki no Souna and My Hero Academia, which got circulation numbers for their very first volumes, but stuff that's slower might take some time, Dr. Stone for example only got circulation numbers 2 years into the manga. Sometimes a series might not even get circulation numbers like Hinomaruzumou.

First print numbers are usually disclosed when there's a big increase or they are astounding. Every year we get posts about first print numbers as well but it's only once.

Jump takes a lot of pride in their first print and circulation numbers so they won't announce anything if they are measly in their eyes.

I would like to see more Jump related videogames that aren't arena fighter.
Captain tsubasa one or fighterz were fresh compared to other.
also Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, which was 2018 GotY imo
I really sick of arena fighters, if you played 1 you played them all

anyway, they have Dragon Quest The Adventure Of Dai Infinity Starch, which is an arpg by Square Enix in the work
& I hope they're already working on JJK game, strike the iron while it hot
I can't believe Konami Eden Zero game might come out before CyberConnect KnY game

Meh JJK again? so many stuff that they could give a cover, but well.

ToC "okay", Magu-chan rising out of nowhere from bottom to almost in the top 5 after all these weeks looks a bit weird but is getting a cp, so looks like is recovering, they could also do this with Cop & Dolphin since its been out of the bottom for weeks already.

Technically the chapter ranked for Yozakura would be 53, but is very hard to believe the part 2 of the hot spring would get this drop, it seems more suitable for 54 that is the fan contest result that is basically filler, but well, nothing to worry about.

For a series that is supposed to be canceled in like 2/3 chapters, Moriking is being placed more decently than you would think, and yes, like Mammo said, it will be confusing to know exactly if Kokosei is doing bad or is just getting the place in the back of the magazine but i do think is number 2, but even if is actually not doing "well" in the rankings, don't expect it to be canceled anytime soon, volume 1 doesn't even have a release date yet and they wouldn't axe Ryo Nakama this fast, but i think is purposedly in the back.

Not looking really good to Phantom Seer but i believe sales will be decent to good.

Jujutsu Kaisen cover again? That's 3 covers in last 10 issues. I guess since the anime is being a bigger success than expected Nak doesn't want to repeat the little sleeping he had on Kimetsu and is already trying to milk Jujutsu as much as possible.

Things don't look good for Honomieru Shonen. And Magu got its best position ever so far. Roboco 4th again
