Neinheart could have summoned Zancrow Historia to eat Natsu flames or one of the Tatarous demons like Sayla, Kyouka, etc to use thier hax on him.
Raven tail could have nullified Laxus magic the same way they nullified Lucy and Wendy.
Tempesta could have used Gravity to stop Laxus from moving.

Mind you none of these characters used those attacks at any time during their confrontations.

As far as the others I can't say because I have no idea what other attack they could have used to counter. However I know Lucy has a spirit designed for High defensive capability and so does Wendy have enchantments for this. So if not used during battle all the difference would be made. If Horologium wasn't used in battle against Jacob Lucy and Co would have been trapped in Transport, or if he never saved Wendy from Hades Nuke or is he never saved dude from the Larva. The outcome would have been different had this defensive mechanism not been used. Same with Wendy blocking an attack from Dimiaria if she never did that then Third Origin Chelia would have been overpowered.

So don't say they don't make a difference because we have literally seen they do. Even simple attacks like light, mask or Wool has made huge differences in outcomes of events.

Yes, Neinhart could have done all those things to last a little longer, Natsu still would have oneshot him because Natsu was his clear and overwhelming superior.
Raven Tail tried that on Laxus, they failed, probably wouldnt have worked anyway.
Tempesta could have tried, he would have failed. Gravity on his tier would affect Laxus less than Bluenotes did to Gildarts. Laxus destroyed him because Laxus was stronger.
All of these things the characters could have done, but didn't, because the people they were fighting were just too strong, just like Kyria was too strong for Lucy. Lucy is as much a match for Kyria as DF Wendy alone was for Dimaria, in short she gets utterly destroyed effortlessly.

Horologium is all well and good, but all it does is save Lucy from Kyria's roar, all Kyria has to do is roar again and it's all over, still a stomp not all that different from what actually happened in the manga. Same with Wendy

No, the abilities don't make a difference, at all, just like Jura's Mt Fuji or Rock Mountain defense don't make any difference against God Serena. It might let them survive a second or two longer, but at the end of the day it's still an absolute stomp in God Serena/Kyria's favor, because they are overwhelmingly more powerful

I agree at very least he should give Lucy more wins she always gets unfair treatment by Mashima T-T like AlvareASS would've been also nice if Lucy used her stardresses and goten good fitting fights
