Mallagen gets to Luffy before losing. And he only loses because Luffy has immunity to his poison, but it is an extreme diff fight because not amount of immunity is going to work against Hell Venom. And Luffy is in critical condition after the fight.

It took many level 6 prisoners to take him down if I recall correctly.

I think Mallegan is extremely underrated

Assuming Magellan is the same from the Impel Down arc, and he doesn't have any haki, can his poison "melt" air slashes? I don't think that he can, so I'll say, he stops at Zoro. If I'm wrong and he can, then he either clears or he and Luffy take eachother down.

He cant block them since he was helpless to Iva's winks.

Magellan for me stops at Zoro since Zoro can attack him and defend against his attacks with his tatsumaki and his other wind-based attacks, i just cant see Magellan being able to fight back when he is fully countered like this.

Right, the winks, good catch.

Then this is a case of a very bad matchup for Magellan. Zoro's flying slashes are devastating.

If you turn this around in who Magellen face, he would go farther. He beats mostly everyone except Luffy, Sanji, and Jimbei.

Luffy we already how it be especially he was having trouble with pre-timeskip and got damage by Luffy even then. Don't see how he is able to get around him at all.

Sanji has Haki and his fire can mess with poison even trying to get on his body as well think it make Magellen flammable in response if he has poison on his body or gas that is combustible. Don't see why he would get past Sanji especially his ability to fly along with his speed being too much for Magellen since he isn't an speedy guy much.

Jimbei can get around him with water and being counter to DF weakness if he use seawater. Plus with Haki he can get by easily more, so don't know why others don't think Jimbei is incapable handling him when quite the opposite.

I would put Zoro, but then I realize and remember the situation with that Marine who can rust away anything and realize Magellen's poison is big disadvantage to Zoro if his swords try to hit his body since they could rust away and he be left defenseless. Doing far away slashes won't do much since Magellen will see him coming on how he react and move according to get him. Zoro isn't that speedy to handle tricky characters as shown with many examples. Zoro will lose in the long run and it be similar incident like at that he need to be save if he kept fighting.

I was gonna say Jimbei. But Jimbei didn’t seem to have answer for him during Impe Down; His FIshMan Karate would help as long as his Water attacks depending on location..but Magallen still can turn it up and end Jimbei...

As for Zoro then 720 & 1080 Pheonix Pound, can cut Mountains I.e Pica...& In Wano he can casually cut the coast line, so he’s pass mountains now..So yea I think that’s good enough to take him out...:Not to mention Zoro potentially may lose a Sword due to Hell PoIson but Magallen is going to take that Haki damage

Jimbei wasn't thinking about wanting to defeat him, just to escape otherwise he would probably beat him then. No time to waste with fights when it all about freedom. You think same Jimbei now won't do anything if he face off with him again?

Still kinda slow given he got take a stance and Magellen can dodge around and beating Pica is nothing when breaking stones is pre-timeskip feat for long time now especially it shown he can poison through the stones and materials easily as well. Not saying Zoro won't do his damage, but in the long run it won't be favorable since Magellen just need to get close to spread the poison around in the environment whether by gas, ground, or that move you stated and Zoro be more in trouble than Magellen. Haki alone won't mean much in stopping spread of substance like that if it connects. You going need more than muscle to get around him alone.

100% agree.

I believe Jinbe, Zoro and Luffy are the only ones who have a chance, and Jinbe only because of his fishman jiujitsu, but as you say, Jinbe, who was already as strong as he is now two years ago, chose to run away from him in Impel Down, so I say that he loses. It depends fully on where the fight takes place. If it's somewhere that would allow him to trick Magellan into falling to the ocean, Jinbe wins, otherwise he would lose even if he has water at his disposal for techniques. Water would also be destroyed by Magellan's poison.

On the other hand, Ivankov proved that ranged wind attacks do reach Magellan, which makes sense since his poison isn't a hard solid and wind cannot be destroyed by poison. Magellan is not a speedy fighter to dodge Zoro around, and Zoro's flying slashes now are gigantic anyways so it's actually an easy fight for Zoro as long as Zoro has information on Magellan's Devil Fruit. If Zoro tries to fight melee then he'll lose a sword or two, or his life. However, others like Sanji and Jinbe would lose their legs and arms if they did the same. Zoro could still have a chance after making this mistake.

It was never about cutting stone: it's about the size of said cut.

Downplaying it by saying "it was only stone" is like saying you wouldn't blink at Zoro cutting Earth in half because "well, it was only a big stone".

Means absolutely nothing if it still made of breakable stone anyone can destroy. If it was harder material we can say something on that. Not downplaying, but keeping what is correct just same as it was team effort on how Pica went down while he was looking at Zoro and needed Ormbulus and Elizabetho to help out.

Lol Earth is something different compare to mere stone Pica has on him XD. Mihawk can cut breakable ice, but we saw how much that help him in being stop by Jozu, Vista, and Crocodile even. Size =/= Substance. It more impressive to damage something that known for it absolute hardness than breaking something that can be easily disrupt like messing with dominos to fall and start hitting one another.

There's nothing to suggest Magellan is tankier than Pica's rock puppet, so using that feat for it's size alone is more than enough. Magellan won't be dodging a barrage of air slices of that size so GG.

I would still say magellan beat sanji. Magellan can still even inject his poison into luffy's candle armor. I don't see RS to be immune to this as well and sanji is at disadvantage because most of his attacks are direct hit so he gets in contact with magellan's poison body.

Somehow... I forgot about Franky.

Franky in melee would get dissolved by Magellan's strongest venom in no time, but he has that blast he one-hitted a Number with.

Can Magellan tank that?

Not so much he can destroy with impact force, but he can corrosive his body given it still mere stone just like he did in Impel Down he could melt objects with his poison. Magellan dodge just as much he can take on G2 Luffy and still beat him despite being faster than Zoro's speed. Zoro need to take a stance before attacking, Magellan will capitalize by various means with his poison. He isn't going down even cutting him as he can be a tank of taking attacks too along dodging as well.

Sanji has fire in his system, poison doesn't affect him much especially he won't touch Sanji overall unlike others especially Zoro with his speed and his swords could get damage just the same as that rust marine guy who got better of him. His far away slashes didn't stop him at all. RS is pretty sure immune given he has a sister who deal with poison. Pretty sure RS is build withstand elemental and even substance to melt or try to damage it. Doesn't make sense what your pushing as it make sense Sanji has more advantage than Zoro in this type of fight especially tricky DF users. Jimbei and Luffy also will be ones Magallen can't beat as well.

Sanji doesn't have fire in his system and speed is pointless in this fight. Sanji only has melee attacks and Magellan can surround himself with meters of lethal poison. Until Sanji gets a long-range attack, Magellan counters him hard.

And, again: Sanji doesn't have fire in his system.

especially Zoro with his speed and his swords could get damage just the same as that rust marine guy who got better of him. His far away slashes didn't stop him at all.
That scene has nothing to do with this. Zoro was surrounded by hundreds of enemies, most of them high-level marines and DF users. He didn't know their abilities and he didn't have time to figure them out either. He just tried to slash Shu (that's the "rust marine") in melee like he would any other normal enemy because he didn't know Shu had the power to grab his sword and rust it.

They extended the fight in the anime and made it absurd, but in the manga it was only a single, small panel that caught Zoro offguard.

Also, you're trying to downplay Zoro based on a "feat" from Enies Lobby when we're talking about the current Strawhats in Onigashima. You like to downplay his resilience by saying his old durability feats don't count "because he fainted to Kamazou", but you ignore his progress in every single trait like how his attacks have improved, "because he lost a sword two years ago". That is not objective nor fair.

Reiju has never shown poisons strong enough to act like acid, and that wasn't even Magellan's strongest poison. There's no reason to believe RS can protect from this kind of attack, specially not since it doesn't cover Sanji's head and he would need to dive his full body in the poison to reach Magellan.

This is not "a tricky" opponent like, for example, Law, this is an opponent that you can't approach in melee or you die. Sanji gets countered hard by Magellan in a way characters like Zoro, who just happen to have long range attacks, are not.

Jinbei is also hard-countered unless they fight on the sea, in which case he could possibly hard counter Magellan. Luffy has a chance to beat him with his G2/4 speed and emission haki, but not without putting himself a lot at risk.

Loses to the first person with CoA.
Normal CoA is not enough, it should be emission CoA, since the invisible barrier around the user can potentially protect him. Since only Luffy so far has confirmed emission haki in the crew, and since he can just cover his arm and extend it instead of covering his whole body to reach him, he's likely to win.

However, Zoro can probably cut Magellan down from long-range.

Not only was Ivankov able to damage Magellan from long-range, we also know Shiryu was considered Magellan's equal back in the day and he was only a normal swordsman, which pretty much confirms that air blades from a skilled enough swordsman work on him. I believe Zoro is one.

That depends on Zoro knowing Magellan's skills, obviously. If he rushes with no info instead of staying back and attacking long-range he can get defeated, but since there are no fight conditions stating otherwise in the first post I assume that they both know how the other one fights.
