Posuka, Shirai (TPN Duo) and Usazaki
. Maybe some of the 2017/2018 batch could come back, could have a substantially better run than they did their first go round (See Gondaira).
does the artist of TPGW counts?I imagine everyone who's had a successful series end in the past few years will be back except Sorachi. A lot of them have even done oneshots already.
Moriking's creator on the other hand almost certainly won't be back, as this is his third cancellation. Which makes me wonder, how many mangaka have actually had 3 cancelled series and no proper hits in WSJ? Most seem to either find a hit or go somewhere else after 1 or 2 failures. Ones I can find from a quick check are
- Munenori Michimoto (Yatsu no Na Wa Maria, Dice King, A.O.N)
- Tooru Uchimizu (Sengoku Rappaden Sasori, Kain, Asklepios)
- Mikio Itou (Normandy Secret Club, Granada, Nazo no Murasame-kun)
- Haruto Ikezawa (Kurogane, Mononofu, Noah's Notes)
- now Hasegawa joins that unfortunate crew (Yakenohara Jin, Spring Weapon, Moriking)
somewhat notable is that the first two seemed to have all 3 be quickly cancelled, while the latter 3 had at least one that did okay. There's probably some more too.
People suspect artists are treated differently since Obata drew a bunch of cancelled series from different authors before Hikaru no Go, so it's hard to say if they'll be back or not.does the artist of TPGW counts?

Yoshihiro Kuroiwa, who passed away in 2018, actually came back after three U19 in a row.I imagine everyone who's had a successful series end in the past few years will be back except Sorachi. A lot of them have even done oneshots already.

Kawada and Fujimaki with a non-sport series and Iwashiro. Just like soneone posted above me about Shinohara that deserves a 20M series and I agree, Iwashiro deserves that as well and finally to get a series animated. So, question for everyone. What prominent veterans that haven’t already returned are you expecting?
66th Shogakukan Manga Awards Winner
Shonen Division :
Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san
Chainsaw Man
CSM has been in boost mode for like the past year. So even if it got one, I don't think you'll be able to notice it.![]()
Any chance we see another boost?
Edit: Nevermind, I guess this award isn’t one of the prestigious ones, as it’s unlikely to boost sales.
