Now that Undead and Mashle are past their 1 year anniversaries, we have 8 ongoing manga that are more than a year old.

For more than half the magazine to be more than a year old (aka 11 series), it'll take until at least issue #31 if Ayakashi, Magu-chan, and Roboco can all stick around until then (Dolphin also exist but there's not much hope for it now). Even longer if Magu-chan can't hang on, though I personally think it will at least hit a year unless it suddenly plummets to the perma-bottom of the ToC.

At any rate, we still have quite a while until the magazine stops being full of new series.

Make your bets ladies and gentlemen, will JJK surpass KnY? I think it won't (I am talking sales per volume, lifetime sales I think it will surpass KnY since I guess JJK could be longer).

I'm 50/50 on this, but I think it will.

I've had a theory for a while, but I think the "Big 3" era stunted franchise growth. I appreciate the ROW popularity this era brought, but I think there were some issues with this era.
There were around 5 established megahits running on a weekly basis and the sales of top series were growing before that with gigahits like Dragon Ball and Slam Dunk both outdoing FOTNS.

I think it was also the era with the lowest amount of experimentation, with Jump getting "Family Friendly" and safe. The only series to get anywhere near KNY level advertising was One Piece and the editorial got cocky.
Just a theory, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be true.

Nice seeing Shark & Dolphin recovering from that last place, even above Undead, and this one getting the cover and lead cp, no surprise they were just waiting for the new series, Mashle much probably getting on #13.

Phantom Seer just seems like will never rise, its been like this for ages already lol

So Undead Unluck cover next week, as expected. Mashle's cover should be the week after that. It'll be the third cover for both series.

After that, we should have at the very least 6 covers before the next serialization round. Jujutsu Kaisen should get one before the anime ends, and maybe Dr Stone too. HeroAca should get one for the new season too. And One Piece, of course, will get an obligatory cover.
For the rest, the big CP for Yozakura last week might mean they are not planning to give it a cover any time soon. Ayakashi hasn't gotten a CP in months, so maybe they'll give that a cover? It would be rare for an ecchi series: Yuuna only got a cover for chapter 69, and Medaka 140.
Unless they want to heavily promote something like Roboco or Sakamoto, there are not many candidates to give covers to. We might get the rare Black Clover cover, and we will probably end up with some series double-dipping before the next round. Jujutsu is the most likely.ver.

TOC thoughts:

• JJK takes 1st place for the first time since #38 in 2020; with the new arc starting I'm not surprised either
• All the veterans in the top 5 spots (top 6 if you include Mission: Yozakura Family)
• Me & Roboco with it's second worst spot (9th), definitely not ideal but hopefully goes back up next week. Phantom Seer also still low... wonder how the TOC shifts in the coming weeks after the volume numbers come into play
• Undead Unluck and Mashle getting anniversary covers confirmed, nice!
• Build King still all the way down near the bottom, yikes

I desperately hope Kowloon's Ball Parade is good. The promo art we have so far does seem quite generic but at this point I'm just glad there's a sports series running in the magazine again.

You forgot Jujutsu Kaisen too. I am pretty sure this will be the year when they'll finally celebrate the anniversary close to its actual date.

#14 is going to be Jujutsu Kaisen's anniverysary (unless Nak decides to spoil Dr. Stone instead lol), #15 is going to be Dr. Stone, #16 is going to be My Hero Academia because the anime comes back on the 27th and #17 should be Black Clover. Wouldn't discard the possibility of Black Clover's anniversary cover being delayed more and #17 being One Piece since by then it won't have a cover in a really longe time. #15 being One Piece is also possible, which would them throw Black Clover down to #18 because Stone comes first.
