Why are we suddenly getting all these leaks from Oricon? A Top 100 weekly ranking two weeks in a row? A top 500 yearly list? I don't remember ever seeing that. Thanks to that, we've now recovered all the data we missed from Kimetsu no Yaiba dominating these lists.

Oricon lists (top 200, 500 etc) are always available even for weekly. You just need to pay A LOT and need to have access via the right sources, if I'm not mistaken.
Such resources and lists aren't meant for us.

I think most people here said it was generic but was enjoyable and well done. Far more people did not like Elusive Samurai and it shows in that poll (even tho I enjoy it).

I loved Ass Class and really enjoyed the first half of Neuro too.

I just think Elusive Samurai's story has been really terribly executed so far, ch 3 was good and 4 was okay too but the first chapter is the worst Jump's had in years imo, it's written like a dull history lesson with zero emotional impact to what's supposed to be an intense and dramatic event.

Yeah, I don't think it's about people hating Matsui. Elusive Samurai is just not very good right now and the premise is not immediately gripping like AssClass or even Neuro. We'll see if that'll change in the upcoming weeks.

I liked AssClass, and I actually think Elusive Samourai has a decent premise for a story. I just have trouble dealing with the constant tone shifts. It goes from silly hijinks to creepy-weird to charming slice-of-life to genocide (I know this one was intentional) to joking to depressing to absurd to dangerous to optimistic, all in one chapter.

I guess the idea was to make the story a bit light-hearted so the history lessons and killings wouldn't be too heavy for a shonen, but cracking jokes over a sea of corpses is just uncomfortable. I also don't like how they are constantly hyping up the kid as if he's some kind of Chosen One, while the story would be much stronger if he was just a normal kid dealing with abnormal circumstances.

It literally has nothing to do with who writes it. That’s like assuming people don’t like the Toriko author because Build King is ass. Elusive Samurai just doesn’t have many redeeming qualities. The priest is especially awful and annoying AF.

It continues to be strange that things newer than Mission: Yozakura Family continues to get PRINT VIZ releases before it. Mashle, Burn the Witch, and now Kaiju No. 6. Sad.

Remember Viz knows exactly how popular each new series is now since they can see everything's individual views. They must just be judging it as not quite popular enough to be worth printing, while the others are.

I expect Yozakura will get an english print release if it gets an anime.

We yozakura fans will feel happier than any other fanbase because we have been getting cucked since forever, so when anime and print get announced. It'll be sweeter than candy

Eh. Yoza doesn't get the support because it's not popular enough especially not compared to something like BtW, Mashle and Kaiju No.8.
BtW Vol sold 200k and it's from Kubo, the creator of Bleach which was massive outside Japan. Kaiju Vol 1 became the biggest Vol 1 success in a while. And I'm not even gonna start on Mashle.

Again, this is also VIZ. They notoriously sat on MHA for so long despite it being a runaway success in Japan and being something that would excel in NA.

So, control your expectations from them and also stop with pretty lame comparisons with other series.

its the only noncancelled jump series being released digital only, even undead unlock is getting a print release, and its not that more popular.

if it were as unpopular as you say, why even release digital only volumes of yozakura?

It'll end up being around the same actually. MHA was a 9-month gap, and if Viz releases Kaiju in September/October, it'll be 9/10 months.
