On a sidenote, as someone who pays attention to the series and TOC but didn't keep count:
With that high frequency of ColorPages that Mission: Yozakura Family gets, might it be having the most out of all the WSJ series this year so far?
It almost makes me think that they are using the artist's skill with beautiful color motives to polish up the magazine for potential readers, because I can't imagine the series being THAT popular, despite of how much I like it personally.


PS, I found out why Phantom Seer got axed:
Their fan-discord was Tokyo Shinobi Squad, Bone Collection and like 3 other axed ones before it, thus cursing the series. Apparently they now already transitioned to BLUE BOX, so don't get too attached to that one... :<

Miura’s favorite sport is badminton? Really hoping the serialization is indeed a badminton manga. It’s honestly pretty underrepresented in spokons. He could definitely make it focused on mixed doubles if he wanted to.

I assume it's would be like the people that post pirated raw on Youtube

For me feels like Jump is just finally gearing up the promotion/advertising with Yozakura now that the sales are picking up, ofc Gondaira probably going all the way with it helps

So it's confirmed now that there's only 2 new series starting? I hope we get to see the preview pics soon, I'm curious what kind of series the second one will be.

Also that's a lot of colour pages in one issue if Dr Stone, Roboco, and Witch Watch are all getting one in addition to the new manga, considering we've had just 2 colours in a few issues recently.

ARE they picking up? I love the series, but the sales trajectory still looks less than impressive for its length, and story-wise it also seems like it could be heading towards the conclusion this year.

I mentioned before but I've wondered if part of the reason for Yozakura's many colour pages might be that Gondaira could be good and fast at making them. Many mangaka struggle sometimes to keep up with the weekly schedule (as seen by both MHA and Jujutsu being on break this issue) so if they've got an author who can make lots of them which also look really good they might as well give it plenty of them.

That reason could also be why Dr Stone's had more covers recently than MHA, Jujutsu, or OP despite them all being much bigger series, because Boichi's a pretty fast artist and is able to make them more frequently.
