Act-age definitely would've gotten one if it wasn't for the scandal killing the series.

Wasn't Psyren axed in the end? Though I guess it did last 3 years first so it was still essentially a successful series.

The interesting thing about Mr. Fullswing is that the series has a loyal fanbase, the author is very active on Twitter posting illustrations and short gag chapters with the manga characters and get thousands of likes, it gets some merchandising stuff, line emojis and even crossover with a mobile game, this for a baseball series that never got a anime. Also the series is completing 20 years now in 2021, so it's the best time for a complete adaptation announcement, the fanbase is there to support it.

Idk if you have read Psyren. But even if it was axed it was at the very end if the story anyway so it doesn't even matter

It was noticable cut short and rushed at the end. It could've had a way smoother ending with less abandoned plot-threats if it had only like 10~ more chapters. Big shame, because the series did many things right and is still one of my all-time faves in WSJ's library.
Still a solid success, yes, and it could've easily gotten an anime with a better ending. Like Buso Renkin got one while being a lesser success.

The diversity and inclusion aren't so strong concepts in Japanese manga. That would hardly be the reason for a same sex couple in a manga.
