Has this Yozakura volume been doing better than usual? I’m not sure, and may be remembering wrong, but feels like I don’t normally see it place at all in Shoseki for this long.
it got immediate reprints announced with last chapter

it went out of shoseki top 500 but that appears to be because of stock issues as it got an emergency reprint and has risen back in

The Yozakura twitter also mentioned something like the series gaining momentum alongside the immediate reprints, so yeah, is growing, next volume of Yozakura and UU will be very interesting to see if the gap between two will get shorter, at the moment is like just 10k.

Btw, Phantom Seer is also holding quite impressive.

Glad to hear. I’m starting to believe a Yozakura anime is looking likely to happen sooner or later

Weekly Shoseki Top 500 (24/5/21 - 30/5/21)

119. Mashle #6 (9,183 / 129,580)
368. Mission: Yozakura Family #8 (2,688 / 39,333)
444. Undead Unluck #6 (2,180 / 48,787)

Yozakura outselling Undead for the 2nd consecutive week, and this time by a good margin (positions), this volume is doing really well.

All those recent color pages and being on the cover really help the manga gain new fans

I’m hoping for Top 5 as well. But since my predictions are always off the mark, I’m going to conservatively guess a middle ranking.

I expect a decent position. Especially after earning a CP early.

"VIZ Media has cited sales of My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer as examples of high demand, with My Hero Academia having nine million copies in print with one million copies of just Volume One. Demon Slayer has over four million copies in print. Both have been on national bestselling lists. Chainsaw Man Volume Four outpaced anticipated sales, similarly selling more copies than some best-selling novels."

Marvel didn't even capitalize their films to comic sales.
I think the main reason superhero comics don’t benefit from films based on them is because, unlike manga, Marvel films are basically their own story. If you’ve finished Demon Slayer S1 and can’t wait until season 2, the manga just picks up right where the anime left off. if you just watched Avengers Infinity War, there’s no equivalent in the comics that’ll tell u what happens next; because the films are just based on the comic, they’re not adaptation.

also, getting into comics is extreme confusing and difficult due to their being so many multiverses, reboots, elseworlds, etc. if you want to start One Piece, just pick up Vol.1. If you want to start Spider-Man, please pick from the 20 different volume 1sm and also read Black Panther and X-Men too; cause some of Spider-Man’s story arcs take place in their books as well

Its going to be absolutely useless if they arent going to change production methods.

Thought comic movies are aimed to sell merchandise, branding, etc and not comics. You didnt see Naruto branded Cheverolets Cameros or food combos at fast food places but you did see Transformers or Super Hero combos at Fast Food places or a never ending cycle of tv dramas for every property affiliated with a cinematic universe in america. The reason I say not comics is they havent ever even tried to tie in *free comic with your movie ticket or free sub to comixixology if you stream this episode*

Also thought the Major comics has largely moved to the unlimited reading platform so it's difficult to quantify such sells as Viz has done here.
