Speaking of Neru it seems to finally have an actual goal for the main character introduced, albeit just a vague long term goal to get top rank in every discipline at school. So it definitely seems like it plans to just be a series of organised fights and small tournaments and that's it, rather than develop any form of more serious story.

I don't have much hope for it if so, it feels too unfocused and low-stakes to get going much as a sports manga or a battle manga. I am enjoying the chapters themselves, but I'm finding that I don't really have any attachment or excitement for the future.

Red Hood on the other hand is continuing to do well with foreshadowing future plots and building a mystery to the villains, but I'm still not into the actual main characters much. Velou really needs a little more personality imo.

For the last few issues i found Elusive Samurai, Blue Box, Undead, Roboco and HSF the best.

I think MHA finally has truly great ideas, and natural payoffs to everything that came before, but the execution of these last few chapthers, especially this one was super lame. Its ridiculously over the top and cheesy, and the pacing with the overwritten dialogue and all those interruptions of the sentences with panels of ugly crying is milking the drama to the point that i cant take it seriously.

Red Hood is reeking of desperation after a slow prologue. The author, instead of focusing on the still weak protagonist, is just throwing distractions at readers, worst being the grotesque, baby faced, super strong, super huge tits having amazonian giantess (a trope that have completely stopped being special) and twists out of nowhere, that I doubt they even know where to go with at this point. And with the suddenly rushing pace we learned nothing of the world or the new character with this training arc, which only amounted to a generic montage and now a simple gimmick game with no unique connection to anything. Not good.

Neru is the most okayish thing. Now with its first volume concluded it still doesnt have much of an identity or gives a feel of whether it will be a straight sports school manga (like this chapter) or have more of a battle influence (like the exam arc), that blend would make it unique, but its not seamlessly done. Enjoyed all of it, but wouldnt notice if it was gone.

Another good batch though there were some more duds that usual. Overall the issue was helped immensely by an amazing One Piece chapter, just in time for the cover next week.

3. (+2) Blue Box - When this series started I feared a development like this, but the way it's happened so naturally and even with this chapter in particular I'm not mad at all. In fact I like Hina way more now than I did three or four chapters ago, so yet again another win for Blue Box which continues to do everything right.

I hope we get the extra chapter translated when Build King v3 releases, plenty of cancelled manga have a bonus epilogue or side story in their final volume but I don't think I've seen a series have something as major as the final battle be volume-exclusive before.

Really nice batch of covers, especially like the aesthetics WITCH WATCH has going. I tell c's volumes are also excellent and make it look way cooler than it actually is, definitely the best part of the series.

It's likely just an internal error. One Piece has a cover + lead CP next week and is continuing its extra chapters + popularity poll posters so there's no way it's not running a chapter.

Shima just went "i dont care anymore" with this final cover, sad, really wish he returns to SJ in the future, he just needs to not overcomplicate things and drag the pace like he did with BK, also a better looking mc wouldnt hurt too.

Jujutsu Kaisen - Megumi stole the show. Superb strategy and understanding of Kirara ability. The choreography was lit as always.
Red Hood - Oh, that impact panel was frickin good! The mayor changed the script! The dialogue was like a parody of some authors
Sakamoto Days - Sakamoto badassness strikes again! Brilliant mind games from Wutang too. Poor Shin though

Yuuna got the cover on (of course) ch 69, so it's possible Ayakashi Triangle will get one at some point that's not for an anniversary on anime announcement. It'll maybe need to get off the bottom a little first though.
