I used my action on someone from my continent as well. Got no response today or to the submission either. Apart from the like that is. The previous night when i forgot to properly read the rules and mechanics i tried to use my action on someone from the other continent and was soon after told that my action isn't gonna work and i should take someone from my own continent.

So yeah, you tell me if this worked out or not.

I thought night actions would only work on the other neighbor continent for night 2? Why would you use it on your own home continent?
