One last thing about White and his final sword, MO that circle near the hilt was the emptiness/ thirst he was trying so desperately to fill. From what we know about Arie their sword is their soul, so I found it weird that there was an empty hole but makes sense when you learn more about White + what the shinsu waves said to him last chapter.

Chapter 262 Hoaqin said he "received" the soul absorbing spell from the ancient demon himself. Now this chapter is saying Vicente is the one find the book containing that spell first??? Or at least he studied the book much more than Hoaqin did?

It's probably just a setup to allow Koon and Hwa Ryun to negotiate with Maschenny (and agree to things that Baam would object to) without him being allowed to have a say in the matter.

Baam isn't typically permitted any agency, after all.
This would really really suck if it goes like this.

Pretty much vincent knows spells about souls, but the fusion spell was the one hoaqin got from the demon himself. Vincent might know about soul spells, but not necessarily know about the fusion spell. this specific spell was offered to hoaqin by the demon. This explains how Vincent got tricked on the train. also, the demon lived inside white and white learned to use his power. Vincent may have studied soul spells involving the demon, how to control it, but that doesn't mean he had the demon inside him. And, i see someone saying that bam doesnt carr about horyang because what he said to xiaxia. Are u mad? He was being aloof and discreet, revealing almost nothing to xiaxia, since she was a stranger he didn't trust during that time.

I agree. It makes Baam look like a putz and a child, but it won't surprise me at all.
I'm just tired man. If it goes like this I may very well come to detest the regulars.

Also, it makes a lot of sense to bam be passed out. bam literally used the 2 thorns and more power than ever right after he was nearly killed, using the power of souls in an absurd way and the power of the sun that no one understands. It was always said how dangerous it was for him to exaggerate the use of thorns. He used too much power at once, burning a lot of souls too, and then absorbed more power. He literally fought at equal and even above white, and not long ago he could barely withstand kallavan attacks. A lot of you complain that he is too weak, when he displays a power up like that, because he had the side effects of using so much power with his body overloaded? Even when this issue of overloading has been discussed so many times? Bam is not supposed to be perfect and a god. the story is pretty much about that: about someone who isn't like a god and doesn't want to be one, but who ended up carrying responsibilities and powers he never wanted, just to protect the people and his life. he's not a fighting god protagonist, he's someone flawed, and that's just what makes tog interesting. It's the way SIU writes and has always written, but no one has to like it. Just go read another type of story, there is no lack of solo levelling-like characters for you to read. I don't understand the people who come here every week to talk bad about tog. Not talking about people who is criticizing something they didn't like about the chapter, that's normal, but there are people who literally show up here every week just to talk trash about tog and siu. Just stop reading, its better for everyone.

Kinda bothers me about something. Did SIU forget Khun can use his firefish to bring someone back to conciousness? Like what he did to Verdichi? Or was it a deliberate choice that says something about his character? Or just SIU wanting Bam to be knocked out for a while lol

What maschenny have to talk with khun is different

asensio didn't look for bam, but for AA to talk about the request. I believe this is a bridge to the khun family arc. What maschenny wants with him and bam must be different things. Besides, since when did Bam do what others want? Whenever something happens, even if many disagree, Bam ends up doing things as he wants and the others just try to adjust.

he can use it to heal, but the healed person can run out of energy, especially if it's something very serious. besides, khun has overused the power and probably can't use it anymore for now. and, this is to postpone it to show the change about bam that will take place later. Maybe something in his inner world also. And khun is someone who literally fought his friends in kaiser arc because he didnt like people using bam for convenience and making decisions for him. Khun never act like that, is actually more the other war around, with him doing things in bam way after be convinced lmao. (Also, sorry about my english, is very bad)

Can he? I think he can just restore people's injuries. Verdicihi probably woke up because she felt better thanks to this. But even assuming he can, he probably don't want to do this because A.A. is too overprotective when it comes to Baam nowadays. To an annoying degree.

I don't blame him. bam can't see a situation that can kill and he jumps at it. besides, there is this trauma of thinking that bam died before. Also, there's the issue of his past that makes him like that with the people he likes. it's something that makes the character more complete and human

That could make sense both ways. I've thought Verdichi was unconcious though it could probably be the injuries. I think that the arc atleast is paving way that he faces his protective nature and it changes something in he and Bam's relationship.

Also i forgot to multiquote but to reply to others, I could understand his protectiveness atleast because he just woke up in a coma + heard his best friend is going to a war and is more tied to FUG. I think the problem is he's manifesting it unhealthily and I believe he puts Bam in some sort of pedestal (not a god) but like someone who's always to be protected (even emotions) and a very good person (the hug scene where he compares himself to White).

Baam has always been like this. But compared to before A.A. is much lamer. As crazy as Baam is, his friends never abandon him.

A.A. did crazy things with Baam, but he didn't use to be such a worrywart. It's like he has no trust in Baam at all.

So what the deal with the sword is it measuring stick for his descendants to live up too? Some form training to overcome him? Just seems like he is torturing and making them resent him.

Thought white was being dramatic acting loony for his dad, but Vincent and the rest are no different, only white was rash enough to become a monster, I wonder if it like this anywhere a sword is in the arie family, how many of them are suffering from the sword overwhelming awesomeness or whatever.

Arie is now a companion that was a given bam did 2 big favors for her, he needs stronger allies he can trust who aren't fug or truly part of zahard army, she experiment so they always get added to the party by default Deng deng died, don't trust Vincent though and asensio is just passing by.

Hwa is nice to see as always the story progresses when she shows up, jinsung needs chill with the death flags already, I'm not buying it unless it's a FH head or Adori ordering his death to get bam worked up, masch ain't gonna betray at this point cause she knows bam has teleportation, so she waiting for someone higher up to interfere cause a regular can't win against zahard army type scenario, does the FH even care about that? Who knows but someone like Adori who can order masch would, jinsung is giving off bad vibes though.

Why doesn't AA fire fish heal bam? Anyway when bam wakes up need to see what's going on in the inner world, are the admin Bros, souls and the sun, what that alignment looks like now and where does the sword/crown fit in all of this? Too much sword talk for bam not to make one, looking at how huge that sword is, it should function like an orb does for wave controllers, so that might be a new shape for him?

The bit with vicente and hoaquin is confusing. I thought he was about as young as he appeared when he unfused at the hell train when he first made the spell? he seems to be a regular at the point in the flashback. Can someone clarify?

I figured they'd wait as many turns as they could until bam wakes up.. And the group there is definitely weird... Off brand powerless white, aria, asencio who is more of an enemy to bam... To me it still doesn't feel like they will be fighting mascheny and also asencio given the circumstances. The setting is just... weird for that. Add to that they definitely don't have the firepower to take out mascheny and asencio.

I agree with this. Its unhealthy, but khun have a lot of emotions and psychological issues. So is pretty logical. This problem will probably be more explored in the khun arc with his past and all. the thing of him seeing himself as someone very bad and measuring himself by his usefulness, how he puts bam on a pedestal and protects and self-sacrifices for those who treat him as human and is kind to him. he probably have been treated like something to be used by his family for so long that he ends up seeing himself that way, while looking for people who see him as human.

Chapter 300, Khun seems frustrated that he "can only offer a bed to Bam", he seems to downplay all the things he has done for Bam. He seems to forget himself when Bam is involved. White did say Bam is some kind of poisonous honey (back to Aria). Also when I was rereading TOG, Bam's friends come across to me ready to sacrifice themselves when Bam is in danger. Closest example would be Khun and Rak scrambling to help Bam, leaving Hockney & Elaine to deal with crab. Another, though more "allies" than friends, is when Bam was confronted by Kallavan; once Evankhell & Karaka heard that, they immediately rush to him.

I know haha. He's actually my favorite character and his relationship with Bam- as much as it's unhealthy is what probably intrigues me as well, especially narrative wise because we had him reassure Bam he's human and him wanting to not work with FUG. It's ironic coming from a character that kinda represents what someone might not want to be in the tower and someone who wants to be replace Eduan. And there's this narrative where Bam is either an ordinary person, the monster, or a god and Bam being reminded to stay as himself. Besides the protectiveness and warped self-worth, there are layers such as his innate desire for control, to protect/hide something (the gems talk), trust issues, and SIU also said something about him growing up too fast and it could be interpreted that Bam can be considered as his first friend. It doesn't seem like the Khun environment was a very healthy place to live in so those seep through and impacted his ability to make personal healthy relationships negatively.

I actually like how SIU explored his psychological issues and stuff because it's not one I usually see with characters with tropes like his. His protectiveness with Bam is ironically what makes him human when he can easily fall to something idk were it not that some of them were driven by feeling both responsibility for the other guys (Bam and briefly, Dan) and his ego/pride as a leader.strategist being hurt. I just wish his relationship with Shibisu is kinda expanded though because if anything, he works kinda well with louder ones like Wangnan and it was kinda disappointing to see him act very cold to Isu (he asks to himself if they would be sad about his death then brushed it off after FUG set up his death in Hand of Arlene).

I'm just really waiting for the Khun arc actually but I think it would be much later because we still have Yuri and Yeon Yihwa being hostages (plus Rachel is still out there somewhere). Hopefully it would as better him as a person and have his and Bam's friendship to be more of equals. However, there's always the possibility where SIU can do a 180 of him once Maria comes into the picture or another flashback changes everything the readers know. (Not excusing or defending Khun but yeah). Might have errors here rip.
