Yes, but Black Clover and Mashle are in a much higher level than both, so seeing them in the bottom 3 is just bizarre.

One of the strangest ToCs I've ever seen. Bottom 5 consisting of pretty much established series. Mashle dead last and next issue gets a CP? Nakano got no chill.

When you think there's no way to feel like ToC placements currently don't matter that much they go and place Black Clover and Mashle in the bottom 3 and dead last, one that got a movie being produced and other about to get a anime soon, like seriously?

Mamore! Shugomaru 1st chapter will be 38 pages, so is definitely a gag with probably shorter chapters.

unfortunately, because there is already a lot of gag in the magazine. Not to mention that this author suspended the work he has on jump+ just to publish another gag. What's the point in that.

Actually only 2 gag but as already mentioned above by Mammo and in the Plus thread, the author actually planned to finish Koisuru One Piece but the editorial suggested him to just put on hiatus and he followed.

There are many authors that have more than 1 series in different magazines/publishers, Inagaki (Dt. Stone) being one of them.

It's not just 2 gag, it's double that, and counting the other comedies now it's 7. And none of them will finish now.
And for people who complained about having 2 yokai manga starting, I consider it even worse

Witch Watch and Magu-chan are not gag series if you're counting them, also youkai is just a theme, gag is a genre, they're not comparable.

I don't want to expand on this subject any further. I'll just say that magu and WW behave much more like gag than any other genre.
And if yokai manga fail, we're pretty sure they'll be canceled, quite different from comedies and gags.

Mashle on the bottom is an odd site, but with the current lineup every ToC's going to seem strange until the new series start ranking.

PPPPPPPPPPPPPPP still starting well, let's see if it can keep that up for ch 10-12 which is the usual time we see something drop to the very bottom.

It's not like Nakano creates the entire ToC alone in a vacuum and there are no other editors involved in the process at all.

I know it is a well liked meme around these parts to lay blame for everything solely upon the feet of Nakano, but at times it feels like people actually believe he is solely responsible for everything that supposedly doesn't got well in Jump, or just stuff they personally don't like.

It's not like Nakano creates the entire ToC alone in a vacuum and there are no other editors involved in the process at all.

I know it is a well liked meme around these parts to lay blame for everything solely upon the feet of Nakano, but at times it feels like people actually believe he is solely responsible for everything that supposedly doesn't got well in Jump, or just stuff they personally don't like.

From what i've gathered, it's the deputy EiC who handles the ToC. There's three of them actually, but I don't know if all three get the chance to makae the ToC or if it's only 1.

If paper shortage was a thing then there would have been stock problems which clearly isn't since Spy x Family is available in every online store

Well then I guess covid is the only explanation cause the backlogs are still pretty strong and the anime announcement should have kept it atleast stable if not give it a slight boost
