The Red Line was created in the past, by moving the islands of the world together to form a single continent

It's spelled out that the Red Line operate like individual islands, with each area having their own climate

If the All Blue existed in the past, that means the Red Line did not always existed, and the four seas used to be one

The Red Line works like a dam, holding the water from all four seas

The Reverse Mountain is a "crack" in the Red Line, due to the water pressure

This is a pretty odd theory and well supported theory actually. But most credit reverse mountain to be a minor joyboy victory. It wasn’t intended and the only intended way to be able to cross the seas was the elavator at the celestial dragons place. As such prevent ign anyone from traversing the sea without there help and giving them total control.

I think this makes sense. Specially with theories around that the endgame in the story would have the red line destroyed and all oceans united as one. I suppose the question is what could possibley have created the indestructible red line. And what could actually destroy it. I suppose the obvious answer is an ancient weapon...
