Im waiting for it too cause I did a quick skim with the last pages and can't find any except snippets from here and someone's mobile translation in Twitter. Though it should be sometime soon within the week (I don't know much what happened to the usual translator but I hope they're doing fine)
@axolotl sorry for the delay

As far as Traumerei goes it's still too early to trash him, homie hasn't even stood up yet. He's just giving Yas & Yama the

If you look closely it's clear Traumerei used some of his own shinso in the attack that 1 shotted Yas.

Can you go into a bit more detail? How do you know that's Rei's and not part of the Raging Rapid shinsoo?

Well, the discussion is already too long for me to check on what most people said, but from the overall glance, it seems a considerable amount of people think Traumerei looks weaker than what you'd expect for a Family Head.

That's waaaay too much of an assumption. I mean, he might even end up being the weakest, because narratively speaking it kinda makes sense that a weaker one would be the first opponent, but the dude has yet to even move... How can anyone make that type of assumption? One of his shinneuh got a tentacle cut off, and that's pretty much it. He hasn't moved an inch. He's not even paying attention to what's happening.

SIU's just showing some of his arsenal, and I've got to say that this chapter was visually stunning in that regard.
Eh, I'd say he's aware. He's not sleeping as has been repeated. And he keeps doing the sideways glances over several chapters. Again, what exactly is he supposed to be doing other than expecting the summons to do heavy-lifting on his behalf?

Also, looks like Krake lost more than one tentacle. And Yama blasted Steel Eel up the butthole, blowing the knife-edge tail apart.

Unless the summons have regenerative properties, the first three alone were in a losing battle, or at the least ineffective.

Well if SIU wants it,it will definitely happen.Maybe Baam will need something from Hon he will need to take the test ,maybe a weapon or something else.It is pretty clear Baam will meet each and every Family Head.

I also felt that but there again this is not official translation so we need to wait for it so the actual words.

Yes quite possible.
I believe Arie Hon and Baam will have a duel at 100th floor, more than just a test.
I don’t. I think Baam will fight the administrator on floor 100 while White fights his father

By 100F who knows? Seeing Yas have such a performance NOW, even if only 1% of Rei's powers or whatever, White could be a much higher % by then, and if Baam breaks the admin and nuls the spell then who knows what can happen?

Well, being aware doesn't really strike me as something that diminishes his probable power. Yasratcha said so himself: they could never hope to faze him, so I'm neither impressed nor disappointed. He hasn't done anything, so I see no basis to find him underwhelming.

One of his strongest Shinheuhs (not even sure about this) seems to have nearly one-shot Yasratcha, the others didn't took substantial damage, and I think it's fair to say that Yasratcha and Yama are also creatures of a very, very high level in the tower: one of them is actually a CC in the Zahad army.

I think the whole reasoning behind saying he's underwhelming is based on a false premise: we don't know how dependant he is on his beasts, but it's not like he flinched at the first two taking some damage.

Hey, I don't have the whole context of this discussion but at the point of this comment specifically it's more semantics than anything else. Yes, anima is an ability one may have. Not a position like the "normal" 5 (fisherman, scout, SB, LB, WC) because it's something you can or can't do, not something you are good or bad at. A fisherman may be horrible with spears, but he can throw spears, he can act as a SB just as he can act as any other position (of the "normal" 5). A non-Anima can't ever control Shinheuh (forget oddities like Baam, who was able to use Arie swordsmanship when Albeda was inside him or whatever, that sounds strange). In that sense, it's probably the case (SIU could always change later, but as of now it seems to be this way) that every Anima gets a "normal"/traditional position of the 5 at the Floor of Tests regardless if they eventually fight using those abilities or not.

The question about primary combat ability or who/what an Anima is is just semantics. If by primary combat ability you mean all Animas were assigned a normal position and are able to fight (despite how good or bad) at that position or really any of the 5, then sure. If by primary combat ability one means the fighting styles and techniques a Regular/Ranker adopts, then surely one can go from showing it one time as a "I'm capable of doing that too" (YHS vs Ren) or don't seem to use in combat (Yasratcha and his cat) to fighting almost exclusively like that (Kendrick Diel, Dokoko, et cetera) i.e. their primary combat ability may or may not be Anima abilities, with most Regulars/Rankers that were specifically said to be an Anima fighting predominantly with the aid or exclusively with their Animas. Nobody says "YHS, Anima user", or "YHS, WC and Anima", or "be careful, that YHS dude is an Anima" but it may happen that a character is stated specifically to be an Anima and his normal position is not even mentioned. Of course that was just an example and most people probably don't know that YHS has anima abilities, but I think ppl can understand that.

Who/what is an Anima seems to just be a case of using the same word for two different purposes (like I said, semantics). Anima is both used to refer to someone with the ability to control Shinheuh, regardless of their proficiency at it (YHS is an anima, that regular little girl from 2F is an Anima) as well as to denote people with great Anima abilities ("LPB FH is said to be the greatest Anima of the Tower") or that at least use it as a significant part of their skillset.

Also, kinda related to this topic, idk if Traum "is a SB". Since he's a gifted Irregular he'll probably be better at it than most SBs, but that doesn't mean it's the way he physically engages opponents when fighting seriously, I wouldn't jump the gun that fast. Remember the context, he wanted to kill Nennen, and for storytelling and visual purposes he couldn't just obliterate her body or something like that, it had to be visually impactful but not humiliating, he was showing piety to a creature not even worthy of domination. In what ways he could achieve that? Surely not with some LB bs skill/ability. Also not with needles/hooks/fisherman abilities, he wouldn't move up to her or use something so huge that he wouldn't have to approximate, it'd be disproportional. The same goes for scout things. Not using a shinheuh, since any of his giant shinheuhs would be overkill, and summoning a small, fodder shinheuh just for that when he already has a giant shinheuh deployed would be... contrived, less impactul, and less personal than killing her with his own hands. He could just blast a whatever Shinsu technique or just use a sufficiently powerful baang, but it wouldn't be visually impactul, could destroy her body and would leave room for doubt as to how and what killed her. That leaves a simple spear as the best way SIU could show it to us and in universe, when Traum appeared with Nennen at the Canine camp WW didn't ask himself or Traum what happened, who killed her, he knows it was Traumerei and that he did it simply and direct, without any hesitation, one hit kill, pierced her with a spear, the weapon still there, her blood dripping from the wound and mouth. A great scene, in my opinion, it makes good use of its medium strong points.
You got the gist of my point.

Regardless of whether one has anima abilities, they typically are assigned a position (one of the primary 5) on the floor of tests, and can develop high level combat skills relating to that position throughout their climb as regulars, and continue to so as rankers. This has nothing to do with their anima abilities and is not affected by it if they choose. Being an anima does not preclude one from possessing superior wave controller skills for example. A wave controller, who’s also an anima can fight superbly with just wave control skills, without summoning any shinheuh or creature. YHS being an excellent case. Dorian Frog also fought a ranker whilst missing his creature.

Whether or not they do this or rely mostly or exclusively on their innate anima abilities is down to individual choice.

I’m not interested in what any of the individuals typically do, or has done, my post was about the characteristics of that special position.

I eddited my post above but here just gonna post it again with pictures:

Look at the green:

Now no Green:

Cause the Green is Traumei's Shinso

This is not a proof, Cobalt is blue yet his shinsu is green.

And it wouldn't make sense when you remember that Traum isn't supposed to act during this scene.

And I don't remember it being possible to infuse his shinsu through anything else.
( eddit: it's possible)

That's rather convenient, as looking at them as a group kind of deflates your takeaway.

Edit:

You got the gist of my point.
Lol, he said you're focused on and arguing semantics, same as I did several posts back. But either way that Animas do in fact heavily, primarily rely on and utilize their anima skills regardless of their technical position, which is by and large much less important for most anima.

No one is having trouble not understanding your posts, it's just that your conclusion is flawed when you make the claim that most don't primarily focus on anima abilities in this special position set.

You've repeatedly shied away from discussions of the totality of anima (I've posted the list for your 2x), but still wish to cherry-pick the select few exceptions that don't primarily focus on anima skills, which is, ofc, dishonest at best.

No one is claiming anima HAVE to utilize their skills before standard positioning skills, but they do in fact CHOOSE to more often than not.

Plus with this chapter,i think it's quite likely confirmed already that halland is the kid elaine talked about.
Baam should have beaten him a lot worse, if so.

Idk, the jury is out. What do you mean Rei isn't 'supposed' to be acting? Whether he's up or down I'm sure he can freely control his shinsoo around him. Hell, Gustang healed without moving at all, why couldn't Rei so something similar? If anyone could bolster their summons with shonsoo I'm sure it would be Rei.

Same or similar Rei energy?

Well he said he wasn't interested in Yas anymore. So I take it that all we see are the shineuh acting on their own.

Yeah I was wrong, we have examples of shinsu insuflu in other things so it should be possible

To be fair, he said that before Yas was able to slip past all 3 of those that should be busy butchering him.

Which example(s) of shinsoo infusions are you referring to?

Pretty much. It's entirely plausible that Traumerei started feeling a sense of what some of us have been saying about his performance as Yasratcha continued to hold on against his personal summons. And then decided to offhandedly squash the trifle to prevent any further embarrassment. He does have an audience after all.

In my opinion the fact the Green shinso is around Traum and not the dragon is proof it's his. It also matches his hair color which would make a lot of sense.

As far as I can tell he simply summoned his monsters without even powering them with his own shinso until that 1 attack from the dragon. It has been stated that animas can make their creatures stronger via focusing or whatever but clearly it's shinso related.

We will probably find out next chapter or the one after that the green shinso is his. I notice that authors of Korean and Japanese comics love to give details via pictures and not words.
