Hello guys,

I just wanted to make a quick thread to ask you if the latest raw chapter (539) changed your opinion about Traumerei strength/threat ?
I ask this because I read a lot of you saying he wasn't impressive until now because he "struggled" killing Yasratcha and capturing Yama.

Also do you think his portrayal as a family head (irregular powerhouse) is disappointing until now or latest chap changed it all ?
This thread is more for those who were doubtful about Träumerei but anyone can express one's opinion

My issue was and still is his beasts weren't able to OS Yasratcha. I would been fine Cobalt handling Yas and even Yama on its own, without being surprised or breaking sweat. That would be a testament of strength of shinheuh the best anima in TOG, and showcase even more the strength of an Irregular. There wasn't a doubt of Traumerei having strength that dwarf everyone else in the nest, it's just ends up being not shown as impressive IMO.

Traumerei was just massively holding back no more no less and he isn't the only one to nerf himself to such an extent. Urek for instance nerfed himsef so much that despite him throwing a named technique, Viole and the rest of S&S weren't affected at a point blank range while in normal case, they would've been vaporized just by setting near an average HR level fight.

It's just people being impatient and/or thinking their headcanons must be absolutely true(If Traumerei doesn't kill X with a wink he is trash), same thing happens with Baam.

It makes no sense to think that Traumerei is weak. He is not the flashy type like Urek who loves to boast and show off. Wether someone finds him boring or unimpressive, he can easily kill anyone in this arc in a flash.

Traumerei wasn't intentionally holding back, he just didn't care. He threw a beast thinking it would fix the issue. The beast was normally self sufficient to deal with Yasratcha. But other beast had to appear, that fact degraded how OP an Irregular is compared to the towerborn IMO. Plus if this beast is already stumbling at this level, how useful is it against another Irregular? Sure sure, Traumerei may have spells/skills that buff beasts but the advantage of these beasts in the first place is their base power is sufficient IMO.

We learned in the recent chapter that he can one shot everyone in the nest instanteneously if he wants and we don't even know whether that's his full power or not. This alone proves how much he was holding back.

To me, Yas and Yama being capable of holding their ground against 4 of his personal beasts tells as much as 20th Floor Baam being able to push Mule Love around and withstand his attacks (even though the latter's casual jab nearly scored 100x higher than Baam's Floral Butterfly Piercing Technique in the Quant Punching Machine and by later showings of Rankers, there was obviously an extremely bottomless gap between the two).

Or 21st Floor Baam being capable of withstanding a legendary technique from Urek (Supreme King's Scorching Fist of Death) when his 1% finger can pulverize High Rankers of Karaka's calibre.

Or Zahard being unable to kill the members of the Hidden Grove with multiple Golden Needles of Mystery Island when judging by Khun Hynd Luch's standing, none of the people there bar Khel Hellam should have exceeded the level of an average High Ranker (Division Commander) and probably were well below that (Toro had his blood boiling by the thought of facing a random Ranker at the Walls of Coexistence and the random Ranker could clash evenly with him for some moments).

All of these moments show that characters in this series can potentially hold back multiple orders of magnitude beneath 1% of their power. Traumerei is just another example of massively holding back IMO. I mean, I think you can see it clearly on him too. He wasn't even paying attention to them. The moment Yas showed his FT, the dude went back to sleep and just in this latest chapter he went from "4 of my personal Shinheuh can't get rid of Yas and Yama" to "I'll eviscerate everyone within the Nest with a single Shinwonryuu", and god knows how much power he still has in reserve. Yas also said that even if 1 million people were to stand there with them, victory would still be impossible (likely hyperbole but it at least shows how much Traumerei is fucking around here, and Yas is perfectly aware of it). Even Baam, who at this point is very likely to stand in a whole different realm of power than Corps Commanders if he uses all of his powers, feels like he could potentially be killed in an instant if he shows the slightest bit of hostility towards him (granted, the dude is not his biggest supporter considering how he said he's clearly still not as strong as his master lol).

IMO, some people are just a bit impatient and sometimes forget SIU is writing a story. The fight between Yas, Yama and Traumerei is something that SIU has been building up for a lot of time now. It would be incredibly anticlimatic if Traumerei were to stand up and instantly eviscerate both with one attack to go back to sleep (even if that's what should realistically happen if he tries just a bit).

I expect those Shinheuh to be far, far beyond Corps Commanders when used appropriately. My guess is that they either have multiple phases that we have yet to see (similar to Dokoko's Windbird), or what's more likely IMO, that Traumerei has yet to reinforce them with Shinsu (or that if he's reinforcing them with Shinsu, it's with an insignificant portion of it). It could perhaps even be a combination of both. Anyways, the dude isn't hyped to be an exceptional Fisherman among the Great Warriors, neither an exceptional Spear-Bearer or Light-Bearer or Scout or Wave Controler. Traumerei's main hype comes from being the strongest Anima in the Tower and Animas fight using their Shinheuh. Considering that and how relevant Shinheuh are to the strongest members of his Family (see Dokoko, the 8th Son Yorari or Pudidy for example who even now is still lamenting his retarded move of not bringing his Eagle Owl in a battle full of top-level High Rankers), the notion that 4 of his main beasts would be unable to fodderize what should be the equivalent of dust to someone of his level is simply nonsensical.

Like I said, he wasn't holding back, he didn't care. Yasratcha was so feeble it didn't register to him to put any thought about it and just threw a beast at him. It's like an ant to us, you can step on it without even realizing. And Traumerei showing a bit of power that calmed everyone from doing anything wasn't surprising, as I said already, there was no doubt Traumerei was stronger than anyone in the nest.

I doubt that traum can kill a serious Baam with a flash. Baam has always been dumb about his power level to a point he even said he is no match for HJ while HJ is likely to last few exchanges at best.Baam was already much stronger than HJ when he dominated white with dark change mode without going all out,and since he absorbed white and leviathan after that,i doubt he would die with a flash againist traum.

At the very least baam should be capable of blocking traum's one attack before dying.

I am not particularly disappointed.

If we talk about the performance of his Shineuhs, I expected it
From the moment he announced that he had 7 shineuhs under his command, I immediately understood that there would be a massive disparity in strength between them for the sake of consistency.

If we talk about his shinwonryu it was clearly stated that he could kill everyone, the only problem is that he didn't vapourize everyone. It bothers me a little but nothing more.

Too many cast in the Nest so the author had issue killing them off for good.

Tho I would prefer Trau really killing everyone there eith his shinwonryu and Bam reversing time again to revive them the next second.

He's been incredibly underwhelming so far IMO.

Then again, considering how SIU writes it's very likely he held back by a nonsensical amount, so it should be fine. At least, that's what I hope. Plot armour is probably another reason.

His strength is undeniable, though many had some weird headcanons regarding what he should be able to do. Most are mostly disappointed by his personality. He isn't like Urek or Gustang who have very impactful scenes.

Traumerei has been the stronger character till now..
Look how easy his shiwonryu just vanished the Hybrider Which we can say is a top 300 creature in strength..

Traumerei was extremely holding back.. when was he struggling? He was literally sitting down the whole time not even watching them till baam appear in front of him..

Most of what we saw with traumerei was him basically putting zero effort into stuff. He only started doing anything at all when he unleashed his shinwonryu... Which immediately flooded the nests and the area around all the walls around.

I just think he - like other family heads believe themselves (they also probably are) to be so beyond any of the other beings in the tower that they see it as a complete waste of their own important time to even bother showing a display of power to annihilate enemies.
It would be like us using a sledgehammer to kill an ant and using your entire physical power to do so. It’s an excessive use of power, and if you see someone do such a thing it would be slightly humiliating to go to such lengths.
the family heads are the pinnacle of arrogance, narcissism and have developed a ridiculous god complex. Even high rankers aren’t worth them exerting their full strength for.
That’s how I see it.
In my mind he could’ve effortlessly destroyed the nest the moment he arrived, but his own arrogance and pride made him neglect to do so until it suited him. He believed himself to be beyond doing such things for such weak people. And he also genuinely doesn’t care. Since like the others, he is immortal. They only care about irregulars, not even their own children to an extent.

This is about the gist of it. Though I think the framing in the bold part just misses the mark a bit. It's not that other high rankers aren't worth their full strength. The great warriors could obliterate most high rankers without putting in any effort whatsoever. From their perspective taking any action at all, regardless of how minuscule, is just not worth it to deal with mere tower residents.

I doubt very much that the hybrid was so strong

Lyborick's DV (Uub?) could disintegrate him without much effort and he only had problems with his regeneration

I would say that at most it is in a similar rank to a DV, like Elphation

Seeing that a shinwonryuu from a FH could effortlessly disintegrated it is not impressive at all

What the others said, we know that he didn't used his full strength and that the plot kept him from killing everyone, still it seems disappointing to me

Sofia, Jinsung, Yama, Baam, and WwW were able to block his Shinwonryuu, yes, only a fraction of it and probably not at full power, but still it was dissapointing

But that tells us that the Shinwonryuu is not as absolute as a technique as many of us thought, from now on I won't be surprised to see Tops HRs (Top 100~) block casual attacks from FHs or survive their Shinwonryuu if they haven't been hit directly for it
