Thought of the day
If lies prevent one from knowing themself or their enemy.
Are they guaranteed defeat.
What do you mean? Elon and Bezos seem to understand politics well enough to know that the GOP will do everything to make sure the wealthy and big businesses do even better, especially if it means the politicians get more money in doing so. The GOP's excuse for giving these two groups more money is "trickle down," no matter how wrong that is.Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos demonstrate just how thin skinned business elites really are and how dependent they are upon welfare for the wealthy. They also demonstrate how elites don't fully understand politics 101. If the GOP wins 100% control of both Congress and the presidency, which is easy thanks to a combination of geography and gerrymandering, they'll quickly turn this country into an anocracy like what Russia has become.
They support Republicans now because of their belief that the Democrats are being mean to them instead of worshiping the very ground they walk on.But Jeff Bezos and Leon Musk would like that because that is where you dont look kindly on unions.
This is a common misconception. Political power > Economic power. Nobody gives a hoot how wealthy you are. What matters is whether those in gov't like you or not, and if they don't, they have plenty of methods to make your life miserable until you fall into line. What do you mean? Political and Economic power go hand in hand though. If you have one, you can easily have the other. So I don't think weighing one against the other is of much consequence in the end. This is a common misconception. Political power > Economic power. Nobody gives a hoot how wealthy you are. While it is true that wealth and politics are interdependent, the key distinction is that political power is essentially the state's monopoly on violence. Countries like China and Russia are pretty blatant about it whereas other countries like the US are more subtle about it.Political and Economic power go hand in hand though. Yet politicians do things for entities that give them money, and they do their best to make sure the wealthy get wealthier, businesses do better or survive, and give both free handouts while whining about the impoverished getting aid. Politicians definitely care about wealth, and they work hard in trying to brainwash people into thinking hard work = wealthy and poverty is caused by laziness, which is probably one reason how republicans still get support. They support Republicans now because of their belief that the Democrats are being mean to them instead of worshiping the very ground they walk on.

Because 19+ 2nd/3rd/4th grade schoolchildren are deadFix high gas prices, food shortages, inflation and supply chain issues.
How is gun control the most relevant topic now?
Because 19+ 2nd/3rd/4th grade schoolchildren are dead
Is this an attempt at trolling or some sort of Alex Jones-level bullshit?

What a stupid fucking analogy this is... to suggest that Putin wouldn't have done what he did if only the civilians were carrying around rifles before the invasion happened. Get a grip.Look at ukraine which enjoyed gun bans until Putin invaded.
At which point they may have realized gun bans are not the great idea some think.
To heartlessly talk about "public opinion" or try to rank importance for issues when 20 Elementary School students are dead, and likely many more.
The authorities are collecting DNA from relatives to help identify victims... just think about that for a second.
It must be truly exhilarating to snarkily remark on media "narratives" when second grader's bodies can't even be identified through dental records, huh?"Think about the children we have to protect from COVID with vaccines."
"Did I say COVID, I meant to say guns."
...
Haven't people heard this before?
Would have to guess the narrative is wearing thin by now.

Is this the whole list?Fix high gas prices, food shortages, inflation and supply chain issues.

Do you feel that uncomfortable when you mistakenly not think the exact same way masses do? That must be fragile.Well, let's see what public opinion says.
(Are you aware of the history of gun control and gun bans in the last 100 years of history btw?)
Last I checked, the public wasn't swayed by claims of 600,000+ COVID fatalities.
Will they be swayed by this?
...
I know you find it a compelling reason for gun bans.
But does anyone else?
...

Look at american politicians scrambling to arm ukrainian militas.
Look at Biden spending $40 billion to give ukrainian civilians guns, missiles and drones.
...
If people in ukraine can have that stuff, I should be able to have it, too.
Equality. Am I right.
I'm impressed you have the stomach to even type this out."Think about the children we have to protect from COVID with vaccines."
"Did I say COVID, I meant to say guns."

It speaks volumes of your potential for the future, I suppose.
