Gray vs Demons is equivalent to Blastoise vs Geodude. Gray has massive curse resistance & his magic is highly effective against Demons. He literally negated Memento Mori & oneshot Etherious Mard Geer who no sold a DF Natsu Secret Slayer Art.

END was far superior to Gray who was still noticably weaker than Laxus & Jellal. He was fully capable of killing Zeref. Gray simply had Slayer advantage is all. You realize Base Natsu beat Zeref right? END was definitely stronger than Gildarts. The stronger his emotions the stronger he is & END was the peak of his emotions. In 100yrs Quest he made a return & stomped a Merc.
