For Seigaku it looks really bad honestly. With Ryoma out, it's only Momo and Kaidou. Konomi went as far as showing us that in all of the intra school matches, in total the second string won ONE game, the drop off is huge. They'll make it to the nationals comfortably imo but I don't see them winning it because of that. Thanks Konomi.
Fudomine is less top heavy but much more balanced. They'll have the exact same team minus Tachibana. That's almost a whole lineup at national level and now they have top tier training installations thanks to Atobe.
St Ru stands no chance without Mizuki, ideally he becomes a part time manager. On top of it, they got a really small pool of players given it's a typical private school.
Yamabuki loses the whole core of their lineup, their 2 strong doubles and Sengoku. They got an even smaller pool of players than St Ru. They still have Banda and Dan got that Akutsu training so who knows, but yeah they look bad.
Midoriyama I already addressed, I like their chances to have a deep showing in the nationals. Unfortunately Konomi didn't give us Kiraku at the camp
Jousei is wildly different in the manga and the only 2nd year we "know" for sure is a 2nd year didn't even make it to the lineup vs Midoriyama.
Rokkaku is a powerhouse. A perennial nationals team with a big player pool (second biggest quantity of members in these schools, only behind Hyotei) with a good coach and good albeit rustic installations. They still have David who went to the camp and Aoi who was said to be training as hard to not fall back (along with the rest of the members).
Hyotei walk to the nationals imo and maybe finally crack it into top 4 if Hiyoshi can be half of Atobe. Movie is not canon afaik (and hope) but as a player he's still good tbh, Konomi even gave him the highest stat total of the 2nd years, tied with demon akaya (...iirc).
Rikkai only keep Kirihara (and now Tamagawa) but honestly they have the third most members all of them being part of the toughest training in Kanto, they'll be fine. I don't think Urayama will ever be a regular tbh given that Yukimura had good potential... As a ball boy.
As much as I liked Higa's new captain story I struggle to see them do well without Kite in command. Depends on how many people survive their training camps, I guess. They aren't from Kanto, at least, so they could still make it to the Nationals with ease but yeah. Also their step seemed to win games on its own.
Shiten are a powerhouse with almost 50 members, have the best player in the country and (imo) the best captain who is also quite a decent player. This might be their year.
Nagoya made it all the way to nationals semis with their own players (after some restructuring, maybe?) and they are seemingly keeping Krauser. They likely aren't contenders but they'll do well.
All the other schools are uh too minor. Maybe Makinofuji manages to be a powerhouse again now that Kadowaki is gone, lol.
