I didn't even know a person can compete in it twice and win it twice

between this and veteran mangakas participating in it and winning it, this whole competition have been awfully run and managed

well this is a matter of opinions
and in my opinion people who had been serialized previously shouldn't be allowed to compete in competition for newcomers and rookies
also they should have bigger plans for titles that established themselves on the platform beside not getting cancelled
give them editorial support (if they want it), give the authors money from volumes releases and release merch

Rather than being allowed to compete in the rookie competition, I had figured it's that Shueisha's making certain authors go through the rookie section first instead of getting directly serialised for some reason.

No clue why they'd do that though, if it's due to art or lack of faith in the oneshot or what.

the indies series have finally broken through the volume release glass ceiling

I always laugh when i compare used scans by viz in english manga+ and other publishers ( non english publishers) in manga+, they serve higher quality scans in all languages except english (the usual resolution for French scans is 1337x2100).... for the english scans it's blurry and has a meh resolution....

Viz please don't be stingy and block higher resolutions for your official ebooks...
