Garp showing up is definitely fun. I suppose we'll get to see the difference between the strawhats running away from the marines now in contrast to water 7 is... It's kinda hard to imagine all out war between garp and the strawhats. Add to that garp being too big a softy to go that hard on luffy. I suppose the big question is how kizaru would react to this. IMO he definitely can take on garp though he is also wont to shenanigans and being relatively lax. Perhaps being the marine's most senior admiral has hardened him a bit?

Oh wow I had to actually look that up. That's seriously the "right hand man of Garp"? Figure we'd know... anything about him at this point outside of his meager few appearances.

I don't mind hints that have substance like the presumably-Garp one, but I truly despise the GET HYPE gifs, as if that's a hint at all. Idgaf about McMahon falling out of his chair, that's not a fucking hint, Redon.

He's not Sentomaru's literal uncle. He's "okiji", which is used by yakuza underlings to the boss, sorta like a 'godfather' figure in western mafioso. That said, Kizaru might still be pretty miffed that his direct underling is getting merked by CP0 goons. But also we've never seen Kizaru give a damn about... anyone... ever, so... it's a toss-up.

No time soon, I reckon. I doubt it'll be nearly as long, but the first real ass-kicking Luffy got *since the beginning of the timeskip* was Katakuri. I assume it'll be at least one whole arc this time before he starts hitting some walls.

From who? Luffy's gear 5 overcame the strongest creature in the world. There are only Shanks, BB, Imu storywise left, that is on the same status-level.

There's plenty of people left that could be a challenge to Luffy. G5 "overcame the Strongest Creature in the World" out of like half a dozen different caveats. It wasn't 1v1-No-Items-Final-Destination, Kaidou went through a whole-ass gauntlet- including Luffy himself several times- before willingly choosing to take Vajrang Gun head on even though he didn't have to. Kizaru showing up is a big deal, especially considering I and a lot of people consider his logia to be the strongest in the series if he ever chooses to go full out.

People are vastly overestimating Luffy now, which is funny considering where things were last year. He's extremely greenhorn with his powers at this point- awakened Luffy fought for a few minutes with Lucci, and immediately powered down to old man mode. Lucci awakened, while taking horrific damage that was "making him lose consciousness (like in the old days)", powered down and was completely fine. Kizaru has decades of experience and is frankly a huge wild card in this conflict.

Then again, Luffy got into massive trouble after running into Kizaru, Sentomaru, and Kuma a Sabaody even though he got Gear 2nd and Gear 3rd three arcs earlier, so maybe Egghead will play into a similar logic then.

Well I guess titles like that mean squat now since Kaido got his ass kicked like the loser he is along with his mutual All-Star losers. Hahahahahah.

Man why does everyone always act like Luffy beat Kaido by himself. I'm a Luffy fan and even I think he can't beat Kaido with at least an assist G5 or not.

Anyway looks like Garp it's about to enter the story so maybe we'll get some good background info again. Garp always brings a lot of lore with him so looking forward to that.

If people really think Kizaru can perform better against Luffy than Kaidou, then maybe we are reading different mangas? By pure plot logic Kizaru should be under Kaidou or at most at his level of strength.

Zoro handling kizaru alone is a bit of a stretch but he is definitely positioned to be the first one to engage the marines. The most likely scenario is a naval battle rather than one v one. Brook and zoro are probably not not equipped to hold of as many battleships as the marines can gather right now.
