Ah, right, the island had a connection to vegapunk. It seems a bit weird to send franky there on account of vegapunk though. Without context it remains difficult to understand how sending luffy to kuja island or zoro to mihawk is anything short of a death sentence. Let alone kuma sending perona there as well. Brook's was also sent to a nonsensical place, him getting his musical career seems mostly random.

Brook was sent to an island that adore Satan. Perhaps Kuma was into something?

Mihawk seems to have an eye for good swordsman, is it really a death sentence? Also I think Mihawk is not the type to pick a fight without a reason

I tend to see mihawk as a sort of... combat lunatic. As in, he wouldn't fight for no reason per se but one of the reasons he'd fight is just plain fun or entertainment. Goku with manners and with more brain cells over picking a fighting style that doesn't revolve around getting punched in the face.

Hmmmm, I've never given this any thought, it is a good point. It's strange that kuma would even have the knowledge to send each strawhat to where they could have gotten upgrades. Also, in general kuma sending people places is not exactly a good explanation as to how things developed.

Some of this are easy, though not exactly in the powerup sense. Robin was sent to the revolutionaries, franky to a place he could improve his tech, nami to a place where she could learn about weather, chopper to a library. But then luffy in kuja islan... You'd think that's somewhat of a death sentence. Sanji at okama island? It seems almost like luck helped ivankov get back there and set up sanji's training. Kurugaina seems mostly empty, could kuma have planned anything that happened to zoro there? Greenstone? Was kuma's plan for ussop to meet heracles?

So... it's all pretty wonky. Perhaps looking at this from the place angle is not the answer. Perhaps kuma sent the strawhats towards people? But if he did, that also certainly does not explain a lot of strawhats. I suppose he could have pointed some strawhats towards people and others towards places. Though that requires super specific intel of each strawhat and perhaps even kuma deciding what was best for each which is even crazier. Not unviable but, um, damn. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out this was simply luck an kuma has a sort of shuffle setting to his ability.

It could be as simple as the user of the Paw Paw fruit's intention combined with the victim's subconscious or fated destination. He specifically asks the same question when using it "Where do you want to go on vacation?" on the Strawhats as he attempts on Moria at Marineford. Moria backs up and replies that he won't answer, and that he knows how Kuma's ability works. So there's a secret mechanic at work with his long-range repelling that has to do with a question being asked to activate it.

Zoro will force Mihawk to fight when it’s time it seems like . As far as Kuma maybe he looks into your memories and see where you would best fit. He seems to know more about each individual more than usual.

As far as hints it could be a chapter where we see what’s going on with all the yonkou simultaneously.

I think the right answer is that it's because they print the manga before they go on a break. Just like they did before Christmas/New Year. So the likely situation is that we are going to have a chapter earlier and then wait for 2 weeks according to other people.

Magazine is printed before the break. It's then shipped and leaked before it too. It just means that at one point we will be 3 weeks without an official chapter release.

Example, if we get a chapter this week, we won't have another one for another 2 weeks instead of 1 week.

I think that for once the hype announcement is significant in that it ties next chapter to the two previous ones. So in all logic we’ll see a full Garp vs Aokiji fight.

I really like that Oda is finally putting all the legends in action, this is what I’ve been waiting for ever since Marineford, and to me OP doesn’t have to be more complicated than that.

I’ll be satisfied if the final arc is a never-ending clash of the strongest with Mihawk, Shanks, Dragon, Giants, BB, Sengoku (why not?), and the SHs and their Grand Fleet thrown in the middle of that.

I thought it was to get rid of weakness/learn the most important skils they need:

Luffy: Controlling haki
Zoro: First understanding of hell (see the monkeys learn war from humans)
Sanji: Getting over his women weakness (didn't work)
Nami/Ussop: Being less useless
Chopper: idk they turned him into a real pet
Robin: learning more history with revolutionaries also dealing with being alone and having no support / showing you were htat leads = being a slave, therefore rely on the team
Franky: more cyborg tech

How he actually sent them places, its not well explained. For "repel" he was able to send himself to Mary Geoise at will. Maybe its an awakened power.
