If I got the translation with lenses right i am okay with this chapter, the chess match was fine for me, given the fact that Traumerei followed his own plan since the beginning, and the delayed recording i admit it's one of my favorite tropes, first time in a long while I felt some S1 Khun vibes.
So Traumerei should have won the bet because delaying the recordings implied that Khun took part in the rebels affairs and thus disqualifying him even if the gate already closed by the time they finished, now the BH should capture everyone involved in the escape.
Of course, if Kirin/Lobadon aren't there as well, it seems easier said than done, Rei should probably need to show up to capture Baam.

At this point, the vast, vast, vast majority of them are like Holan to him. I'm not convinced Traumerei has anyone in his stable who can handle a serious Baam. I think he barely has anyone who can handle the 'lolwhatever' version of Baam we've seen thus far in this arc.

there is no indication that Baam is stronger than Kirin or Robadon

Deaths don't make a story good. But plenty of Lo Po Bia like Traumerei, Yasratcha etc could die. Because they likely won't be relevant in the future arcs.

OK, not deaths for death's sake, but SOMETHING to make it feel like there's a sense of loss or possibility of loss.

SIU can't even have Holan kill Matte Ha. This is turning into Sesame Street Tower.

The trope only works if Rei isn't already aware of the ACTUAL timer/countdown, which... isn't he if he's the one that leaked it? Knowing the mechanics of it or that it is time-sensitive seems 101-level strategy if he's TRULY working behind the scenes while supposedly knowing about everything.

If AA can come and take his eye off the ball, that is still egg on his (Rei's) face.
