I know everyone is all about Khun's fire fish, but let us take a moment to remember the real MVP of the story, SweetFish Turtle, he who gave his body to acid so that Khun could scheme another day.

I liked this chapter. A typical case where the chapter was bitched on illegitimately without proper trad in the first dozen pages. Probably an after-effect of the last chapter.

Traumerei was very fine. Khun was very cocky indeed, but he had a good starting point as an « irregular representative ». And Traumerei out-smarted him both in chess and in strategy anyway. The only reason Khun is alive is because Traumerei is a sadist and he doesn't back down on a chess challenge.

Above all, Traumerei is now on the move, and was more involved in the situation than what we thought.

Tiara is pretty OP if she can maintain the former writing with the new one.

And Matte, not that I care about whatever happens to him, but it is a nuisance to the tension of the story that there are almost no significant deaths.

The customized chess pieces were a great detail.

Saying Baam needs anyones help at this point is absurd. He one shot a BH already. And this was AFTER w/e crazy spell power-up Gustang gave him to make him go beserk.

She is that one jealous of her sister
She is playing “lets obey FH and lets save our family”

Can finally talk about the chapter my guy trau, like I expected knew everything which is obvious since he been chilling all along, has said before he is gonna kill all the traitors no matter the outcome, so he just playing up khun bs for a laugh and he is bam friend so he won't kill him just like jinsung, got AA on technicality from the start and he didn't notice void the game, marriage still on.. don't think he cares about that really, he just wants to keep bam close maybe protecting him, trau is playing chess with gustang or zahard, he is very smart and cunning AA is foreshadowing a lot for next week.

Only issue with trau plan is bam can take those branch heads in a fight, so they won't be captured unless he shows up, I think he will since bam has leviathan which is the excuse he likes to use the most and whoever the traitor is might be leading them to gustang.

anyway hyped for next week those branch head should be stronger than Yuri, since trau is confident in their capture, so bam has to display some power in a real fight against fairly strong HRs, hopefully he can make a decent fight at base level to see where he is at, I expect if bam uses the sun again it should be much more stable and a lot stronger, which is how his powers usually works until the next power spike when he gets into trouble.

Hopefully if trau shows up to capture bam but really testing the limits of his power troupe, I really want to see Levi transformation bam can do it, and a even bigger death star or multiple regular death stars probably 3 like the usual, nothing going to work I'm good with bam killing or devouring at least 2 of trau shinsueh.

I want to know more about the tales of the past. I'm sure it'll play a role sooner than expected.
That's the most interesting part.

Don't really care about reptilian unrequited love or everything concerning regular princesses (at least the wedding plot )

When did bam one shot a branch head?

ok admittedly Holan is not a branch head "yet" but he was in fact the strongest contender for one and leader of the Hatchlings "branch head candidates" while he was being buffed by Gustangs curse. and he did it with such ease(at a fraction of what he is capable of) that it leads me to believe he could one shot a branch head. Khun killed one(with a high ranking item) so Baam should be able to as well.

Traumerei is on the move to get what "belongs to him". No way this ends here. Icarus being mentionned only make it more likely that this arc is the arc where we will see his flashback.

Khun asked a very good question : What does Traumerei intend to do with Baam in the current war, as he is not strong enough yet to go against a Family Head ?

Wild Gustang appeared, Ren got what was coming to him/her since season 1, Baam's harem grew, we got to see a Giant Dragonfly, Leader Rak is back, Wild Yuri appears, Rei outsmarts a regular even if it IS Khun.

Edit: we also never got to see Eagle Owl in action.

I can appreciate people liking a chapter, but I don't think the complaints are unfounded. Rei's gamble, to me at least, is still as unnecessary as ever as he doesn't need to keep considering offers or modifying any agreement to achieve his goal. He could lord over others, or allow them to plot, or whatever without ever humoring AA (still getting his rocks off at their hopes and dreams being dashed). To me, that seems more of a needed explanation to make the clunky plot fit than a good, natural one.

Rei only looks good in this if things go his way - if the gamble(s - plural, now compounded) pays off. If/when it goes sideways, as with at the Nest, he won't be looking so slick. I don't watch what people say as much as what they do. Yes, he bragged on supposedly knowing everything, but he hasn't shown any actions to mitigate anything that could blow up in his face. So WHEN things start to backfire, he looks extra stupid because he knew better and still didn't make sure things went his way. It's actually a WORSE look than if he were completely unaware. At least if he were disinterested you could say he failed but he really didn't care. This way shows he DOES care about outcomes, but is being negligent as he just assumes it will go his way. I highly doubt that will be the case.
