to show the red head twin what Baam is capable of. so fodder. fodder always has a purpose. So, Holan basically served no purpose?
Isn't the implication now that the shackles are back on?baam powerscaling is a bit weird now because these BH should not really give him trouble.
im a bit confused with the line translation vs cosmic. last week on the official chapter baam implied that the fight with white might go differently but cosmic in the same chapter said that baam lost his shackles in the fight against white. two completely opposite ideas where bam is either not as strong or immensely stronger. which translation is more accurate. because i ve seen both fan translations take some liberities, and line just butcher stuff entirely.
do the "shackles" even work on Baam? are his powers not those of an Admin? even if he was "shackled" does that mean anything to someone with admin powers? what does it mean for Baam who can store an infinite amount of Shinso within him?.Isn't the implication now that the shackles are back on?
Baam and his friends would die for each others. No one trusts anyone, anywhere, in any group.
At this point he has already been steamrolled by Gustang. Rei's long term plan seems to be Baam taking over his family. his short term one is to let his entire family be destroyed by Gustang, giving Baam the keys to Rome after it burnt down. Rei might be counting on the beastkin as military strength against Gustang but he doesn't know(or he does and will tell us about it in a few chapters) that YamaCo already took them off the board.I think the previous chapter was meant to tell us that even though his actions are weird, Traumerei isn't a retard and has long term plans. Though from a reader POV that apathy is quite lame at certain moments. I don't believe it's SIu's goal to have him get steamrolled by Gustang and honestly it would be very disappointing.

Also, forgot to reply to your other posts. I don't think games will ever go away.

My only question is how Khun was able to meet andro. did Rei just say "Ok you can go die with your friends" that is the only part that is not clear. If anything, that is Rei's master plan. how Khun got away.
Well, yeah, they clear work as bam is simply not doing anything he wants all the time. Bam has some manner of admin powers but only when he uses the red and blue thrysa. So far he uses them at a level inferior to hell joe at the hidden floor though.do the "shackles" even work on Baam? are his powers not those of an Admin? even if he was "shackled" does that mean anything to someone with admin powers? what does it mean for Baam who can store an infinite amount of Shinso within him?.
Admin: these are shackles for you young, one...
Baam: I...I don't feel any different. Are they working properly? Is this thing on? Hello hello, testing testing.

Rei is V![]()
Rei had it written down that he always won. We already know the history books are propagandist bullshit anyways. Arlen scrubbed, princes don't exist, etc.
Rei had them write down he was the bestestist and his mommy said he was the smartester of all his friends.

Make sense. Maybe he made levi eat his memory of past people betray him (exclude wang2, Trau already mind-mess of 'betray' at that time and he still somewhat recall wang2 during nest arc)Traumerei's therapy session with Leviathan about forgetting the things he wants to forget is indeed very effective.

In one panel (Yas flashback after the Great War), he says he's used to being betrayed. On the other (this chapter), he says he's never been betrayed because he's never trusted anyone. A clear contradiction (out of many that his character has) that is explained by the erased memories. Just found it interesting to post it.

You forgot this was all a plan from Gustang to create a false narrative to gain the people support for the war?For all we know the Revolution is a cause/idea Traum or another FH created!

He baited Elaine into betraying, when there was nothing there to begin with! Really can’t put anything past Traum

I’d argue that the Revolution has a stronger hold over the PB! The Book of Icarus was a setup by the Rev!!! Gustang again took the bait and blamed it on LPB!!!

Correction, that Beliere falsified to the investigative officer and the Gustang ran with!!!You forgot this was all a plan from Gustang to create a false narrative to gain the people support for the war?
His gamble is only worth it IF he ends up with Baam. That's like a double queen scenario for him.The Clownmerei jokes apart, Rei isn't really incompetent or a retard.
It's just that competence took a whole new meaning for the readers ever since we were introduced to this FH worship thing.
Rei has lost a lot of his family members trying to fetch Baam. But from a POV of a chess player, that kinda makes sense. Sacrificing a lot of pieces in trying to fetch the "queen" piece i.e Baam maybe something, if you place the other pieces right and it is at a crucial part of the game. ( For me though, the point of the story is stuck and circling around one place. It doesn't seem like the decisive moment it should be.)
Maybe, its just Rei has yet to realise that there are those white and black squares beyond his chessboard too probably with more game-changing elements.
Also, if for him all of BHs are turtle pieces to sacrifice wonder who does he consider the important pieces who will actually fight on his behalf. He can't solo the chess board with just himself/ king piece. What if Baam, Gustang, everyone else just goes against him. That's why his apathy looks stupid rather than cool.
Though Rei still might have a few other significant moves under his long sleeves, Gustang also has a lot more in play here. Otherwise he wouldn't even go against the empire.
Heck even if we consider Gustang's weakness as his queen piece, even without that, if one has everything well organised, one can win easily. It's just maybe I refuse to believe that Gustang doesn't have his board organised when going against Rei AND THE WHOLE EMPIRE.
It isn't just unpredictability and "thinking few moves ahead" which constitutes a good chess player. In that regard, I think SIU failed to represent Rei as one.
Otherwise, Rei is ok. He is an intelligent antagonist with a troublesome "personality". SIU is going to use the "personality" card on a lot of antagonists in future. Rei is just a sufferer of that. I have to admit that even if I make fun of him.![]()
But...they did attack? They just got Cha Cha Chia'd and Geico'd and finally Gustang'dThe BHs are not even attacking, just holding their position. The turtle and Elba only attacked AA!

You should see the comic where Alfred wrecks Superman. Breaks his back straight up like a bad ass mother butler.Batman vs Superman except more like Superman vs slightly weaker Superman with Batman intellect, planning, and tech.
