If Mashima wrote Laxus vs Mirajane, it'll probably just be offscreened. We'd just see a panel of Laxus standing over a defeated Mirajane at the end of a chapter dedicated to something else.
It is called a new sword in the manga with a new name i.e. BELSERION. Erza with benizakura was clashing equally with Kyria before Kyria broke it. Skullion who is stronger than Kyria was clashing equally with BSS Mirajane.
Erza with Benizakura did worse because Kyria is weaker than Skullion, she broke Benizakura so Erza had to use Belserion in their second encounter while BSS Mirajane tied with Skullion on her first encounter.
Moreover the Mirajane that tied with Skullion is low diff material for other forms so Laxus low diffing BSS would not prove he would low diff her strongest form.

Laxus also has stronger forms, and frankly red lightning puts Alegria to shame.

Well my point is that Mirajane would not be low diffed and or one shot by Laxus so...
Also Erza herself was shocked Laxus beat Kyria the way he did and called her strong. Point is Skullion is stronger than Kyria and BSS Mira tied with him while Erza with Benizakura was outmatched by Kyria so using BSS Mira vs Skullion as proof of Laxus low doffing Mira as he did Skullion isn't supported in canon.
And we only saw Mirajane fight in BSS. We actually have a panel of the siblings fighting with BSS and Elfman's lion form. Nothing indicates that she switched forms. Especially since we know her other forms can low diff BSS.

Well Laxus also having stronger forms has nothing to do with the notion that Laxus can low diff or one shot Mirajane because he low diffed Madmole and Skullion and Skullion tied with BSS.

He literally off screened gajeel vs natsu. Hell he off screened Mira vs gray. He off screened Mira vs skullion. Ax is right, mashima would off screen that fight
Laxus is on par or even above Suzaku who would one shot Mira like he did with Erza. It's not even a debate. Mira admitted she couldn't defeat Skullion and Laxus one shotted him.
The guys on this forum don't really want to accept that Kyria scratched Laxus/erza's level, dominated Erza, and even after taking the attack from the new swords, Kyria was still able to fight, she didn't sell erza's attack. After receiving the Metsuryū Ōgi from Laxus, she was still conscious and was a spectator at Laxus vs. Erza's match. With Lucy, she dominated her without hax and lucy needed the intervention of Laxus and Gemini to win and after 5 minutes Kyria was already on her feet helping to destroy the orbs.
I don't see how Skullion does it better than her, Skullion was easily defeated by Laxus, with Mira it won't be different, Laxus no diff
Laxus can't counter Kyria's blade hypnosis so he's not countering macro.
Mira's also hyped to Laxus and Erza tier aaaaand they're now a ship/power couple like Jerza is lol
