He can move at the speed of light, but he cannot react at the speed of light. You are wrong, he wouldnt be able to kill everyone with just speed.
Lets look at the example, he wants to hit Luffy, he have to process this option first, then Luffy can already read it with haki and react before kizaru hits him. Also from what we have seen, Kizaru cannot manouver while moving with speed of light, he have to plan attack ahead.

This is a manga that uses manga physics and rules, not real life science. For example if he could move at the actual speed of light (not even considering reaction/thought speed) he would be able to go anywhere on the planet in seconds since we've seen he can just turn into light and go in whatever direction he wants. In real life light speed is ~300k km/s and if the OP world is similar size planet to Earth of about 40k km at its largest circumference, he could circle the whole world 8 times in 1 second and if we say he had to change trajectory multiple times that's still at worst minutes. That is also the speed at which his laser beams should move so if you are anywhere near him there is no dodging or blocking since you'd be hit before you even can process that he shot the laser. On a small island like this, if he had actual light speed he would just teleport and laser beam people in the head for kill shot which at most should still be seconds of time. Heck Sentomaru shouldn't have seen it coming he should of just been insta dead.

On your other argument that he is still human and thinks at that speed making it more fair fight, last I checked a logia user is technically made of their element even if not transformed hence why cutting Kizaru without haki does nothing and we see inside he is light. This is akin to Luffy's body being rubber including his organs etc. Technically Kizaru should be able to process information the speed of light since his nervous system is made of light in the same way Luffy can use his rubber blood vessels & heart to do G2 since they won't rupture from the pressure. There is no making sense of any real world science in a manga or comic. The only real takeway we should have about Kizaru is that he is be super fast compared to other characters, not that he actually can move at the 300k km/s or shoot actual lasers that move at the speed of light.

Speed of a thought is 67mph, depending on how you model it. That said, Kizaru consistently shows long charge times for his powers.

But honestly, whenever someone says a character moves at light speed, I just accept it. The reality is that the vast majority of authors are never going to be able to depict what actually happens when someone moves at the speed of light.
If a physical object is moving at light speed, shit's blowing up. We're talking nuclear explosion due to an object crashing through molecules at light speed.
Then there's the issue that if an enemy is moving at light speed and he's going to punch you, you've been punched BEFORE you see him move due to the time it takes for the light signal to go from the eye to the brain.
In Kizaru's case, you would be hit BEFORE you perceive the flash of light due to the milliseconds delay.

Point is, it's not worth trying to logic out light speed in a manga, and it's just better for your sanity to accept whatever characters say.

I really like a lot of the reasoning here. In the first paragraph, this is the big issue with lightspeed movement. Yeah, unless Kizaru has a system where he marks where he's going to end his travel, yeah, he's traveling crazy distance if he's stopping himself in real time.

The second paragraph on the point of speed of light thinking due to the change of neurons is really good too. We have to assume that in one piece, no one's mind receives the benefits of changing the composition of the brain. It's another sanity preserving feature.

If we go a step further, we could even say that "Hard Light" does not actually move at the speed of light, since unlike a photon, it must have more significant mass, which thereby slows it down. (assuming beams with concussive force, and not beams that do damage by virtue of temperature)

Looks like it's finally some good spotlight for Sanji, I've always felt that he'll have an epic fight against Kizaru at some point. Up until this moment it was a bit underwhelming that he didn't do more as we've seen he's beyond fast as previously yonko commanders could not even see him, so I'm 100% sure he should be able to keep up with Kizaru, not sure in terms of raw power but Kizaru has already proven to be somewhat of a glass canon so I wouldn't be suprised seeing Sanji landing some good kicks this chapter.

I suppose it's feasible that luffy has softened up kizaru enough for sanji to put up a show. With saturn getting punched elsewhere and kizaru potentially busy with sanji it means that luffy is free to directly engage with the marine blockade. Which is a worst case scenario for the marines...

I feel like it's a bit too much for Sanji to even stall Kizaru at this point. It would put Sanji at lower yonko tier. He might block/tank an attack or two, but if Kizaru will get into extermination mode (which he announced) I doubt he should be able to hold his own.

I agree for the most part. That's why I suggested this might be feasible if luffy softened up kizaru. That of course compounded with sanji's unnatural capacity to take punishment at this point in the manga.

I admit I don't watch it enough to have an opinion but the last chapter I read the introduced a robot girl who knew and saw EVERYTHING like that was her power. It's such lazy writing and opens up so much plot holes it's insane. Just like that last Bleach villian who just did things without any explaination.
