I don’t know yet. But leaning towards No at the moment. However good execution can change my mind. V just appeared in flashbacks being Great Guy; Now he’s seemingly Evil! Like I said for me it’s all about execution…..
There is also S2 ch.301; Where Baam draws that line as representation of his power; VS Dats Jahad. So I’m on the fence about it.
What was shady about V’s background?
The hype wasn’t fake; The author has been writing V as a favorable Good, Loving character, even in the flashbacks. People were dismissive of anything else because that’s what logic would dictate. Unless some folks where able to pick up on clues, I don’t see them at all.
this story of V gentile is blurry honestly, data edhan said that V was a guy who cared much more about the people of the tower than them so that doesn't mean that they don't care, the proof is flashbacks of them with people from the tower with them.
we must not forget that data edhan was at the beginning of their journey, even data zahard was a gentile at that time and data edhan said that when they built this virtual world to let their data behind the 13 communicate with those who came until they got tired of it so basing it on V gentile on that would be false.
some talk about flashbacks that show V gentile, but look at the others too, Blossom in the flashbacks is traumatized by having killed people. Yeon and V didn't want to kill a few people to save zahard and gustang. traumerei when he saw how many people had been killed by him to save zahard and gustang he was traumatized, so we can see that at that time they were also nice.
and the last flashbacks with V and gustang, it's not just V who said that gustang deserved to be the judge of the group, zahard also said that gustang deserved that, does that make zahard a nice guy lol?
There is no point in drawing conclusions now, the hypothesis that V is nice is plausible because nothing shows that he became bad later apart from gustang's book which says that the 13 are sinners. and nothing proves that V is not a bad guy because the flashbacks and what data edhan said are not plausible since it was very early in the story of the journey of the 13 so we have to wait for more evidence

No, I don’t find it admirable. I always found V to be Flawed, & a quitter. Not Shady, nothing you mentioned defines someone as Shady.
Suspicion of the event missing context or playing out differently than narrated is understandable. The whole V was suspicious/shady doesn’t add up with what SIU has been characterizing V as & what’s been shown.

It was said that he was more suited to be king compared to Zahard and also that he was his opposite. Aside from what we have seen recently there was nothing else but a large part of the fandom seems to think he was some ideal hero, superior to Zahard etc. I don't know what made you think he is a quitter but that suicide is very lame. V and Arlen chose to face their previous companions.

?? I think people used context clues and follow’d the bread crumbs the Arthur left. The tidbit of information was enough & is enough to draw the conclusion he was awesome & a good guy.
I'll give you it was presumptuous to think he couldn’t do any wrong. Didn’t feel like SIU was leading us on into a false sense of security.
*Facts As they are now*
V/Arlene criticized Jahad about stopping the climb & left with followers of the group because Jahad became the King…Their goal was always to get the Key from Jahad….We now know Ameuz death is what sets off the War. **You can draw context that both sides seemed hesitant to make a move against the other;**
V/Arlene lose this war, & go into hiding with Baby Baam. Jahad hunts them down & kills Baam in front of Arlene…..This is when V can’t take Arlene’s heartbreak & decides to commit suicide leaving a letter telling Arlene to return to others & forget basically…. So yes he gave up, after his child was killed and his wife’s trauma was too much to witness m, so he killed himself; instead of finding a way to console her, & get revenge.

That only proves that V is irresponsible to those who follow him.
They suffered punishment for choosing the wrong side, and their leader just only gave up. View media item 28980

If he started this war, at least he should surrender before committing suicide.

If you’ve been reading the thread. I’ve addressed that V is Flawed. That is one of his flaws.
Arlene/V didn’t start the War. Apparently Tram did by framing V for Amuez’s death. Either way when they lost the war V/Arlene Fled. They already lost, what proceeded was just more tragedy. So it’s not like they weren’t going to feel the consequences of rebelling.
Or more so goes to show how cruel the 10GF were to curse them.

If you've been reading any flashback, it's clearly V/Arlene started this war to get the key. 10 FHs already called them enemy, even before Amizu died. View media item 28981
And if you read the panel I gave you carefully, it clearly says who betrayed Zahard and the 10 family heads are cursed. But not all towerborns are cursed.

For those who say V's background is a good person, so he can't become a villain is not correct.
People always change over time. Even young Eduan and young Zahard don't know why they changed. So how do you know V hasn't changed?
V is to start the war to get the key. Do you think he is so carefree that he would think that team 11 would be merciful to a traitor. At least V must have a fighting strategy, and call for as many allies as possible to attack Zahard to get the key. Sacrifice is inevitable, towerborns are too weak to compare in strength with Zahard. If he disregarded the towerborns' lives, then it meant he was completely capable of doing anything to achieve his goal.
There's no reason why V can't become a villain. Furthermore, the fact that Hwaryun mentioned V, or the Line calling itself V, even called itself "promised one". Maybe it was his plan from the beginning.
Of course I'm not sure the Line is good or bad (although I think it is bad), but it's still V. Unless you have proof that it's a fake V.

Unless you know the timeline. Which hasn’t been revealed? We are both speculating. What I don’t consider to be much speculation on my perspective is…..
Yes V/Arlene were enemies; The war did not start yet.
You are referring to a S2 chapter which entails the information that the Followers were cursed for betraying Jahad & the 10 families….That was the end result…Context is missing as to why they betrayed them etc…until now.
S3 gives further details into the conflict. It’s not stated that the War has started. They are simply enemies, due to opposing ideologies. There could have been battles already but nobody is killing each other. You can tell they hold V/Arlene as the opposition but still their friends in a way; an air of reluctance can be felt;
Ameuz death that is blamed on V; Makes the 10GW lean all the way into war with them. The context of their gathering you can tell they aren’t excited at all that their group has been split & lines are being drawn. It’s like they are waiting in the conflict to start it actually hasn’t started yet.

If you read the flashback, it only have 3 people (Eduan, Yirang and Hon) relate to this Amizu's event.
Why do you count Traum and Gustang? They chose this not because Amizu's death.
How about Yurin, Tu Peire, Hendo, Ari, Blossom?
Can you confirm they know this event? While all of people above choose to forget it.
I don't see any reason why Zahard should start a world war.
He always talks about peace. And clearly all the advantages are on his side: 10 family heads, keys, power of a king, etc. While V has every reason to start a war, he even asked great master to give him a weapon to punish his teammates. There was no way he would do anything out of friendship.
And you should re-read chap 320 (ss2 ep 240). Clearly V and Arlene started the war.

I honestly not trying to make fun of or offend you when I say this. But You are suffering from a lack of comprehension & reading skills.
I don’t even understand how you’ve come to your perspective/Truth. But it lacks a lot of Facts. & breakdown of a perceived truth, to what exactly occurred.
You are asking me questions that you should have drew context from the story to find the answers to….Yes Everyone knows about Ameuz being Killed by “Enkidu, by V orders”.
Have you not ever heard of some controversial happenings and gone to tell your friends or family.
What would make you think because all of the GW weren’t there that they just don’t know about it?
The memories of that event wasn’t immediately erased/sealed…
You are definitely drawing the wrong context from the story if you believe Jahad wanted peace, etc etc & that V/Arlene were the villains for separating from the group & started a war. You really aren’t understanding the story if that’s what you are getting right now.
Not saying V/Arlene didn’t eventually become crazy or evil. But it wasn’t over the Climb…it’s was because of the aftermath of everything

I think you're simply blindly defending V and Arlene.
First, you say I lack information. But what I said was what Garam said. It was mentioned in the story. And what you say has no evidence. Why did Zahard start the war while he have that key? View media item 28985
Why did you say that Eduan, Hon, Yeon, Gustang would tell the others about Amizu's death.
Don't create a theory and then say it as if it were the truth. I asked you to provide evidence.
You don't have proof but I do.
- Besides Zahard not coming and Blossom sleeping, the others were not mentioned.
- Gustang knew what Enkidu said, he still didn't tell anyone in the end. Similar to everyone else, they chose to forget because of Amizu's death. And why do you think they will share this with others, so the others also have to erase memory like them?
- Also, I think you overestimate V. Do you think everyone turned against V because they knew about Amizu's death? Don't you see that it's obvious that V was the first to leave them? As soon as Amizu left, Yeon said that the next time we see each other we will be enemies. Amizu was the last straw.
V killed himself narrative needs to fuck it. After all the reveals now I think it's like V sacrificed himself for the revival of his son. ( A soul for a soul Infinity War shit) There are too many questions regarding his death and lore. I would prefer him to be an antagonist.
He literally posted the scan that says Jahad got upset by a proposal denial. & all of the other facts & context are being talked about………Yet has his perspective. Somebody explain it to them please.
Sorry bro you giving me twilight zone syndrome. I ain’t a genius but damn you really not understanding the story that your reading.
You're the only one who said that V and Arlene weren't the ones who started the war.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---
A failed marriage proposal is not the reason the war happened. It's related to V and Arlene forming an organization to attack Zahard to get the key.
Whether you hate Zahard or idolize V, you have to look at the truth. Everyone knows that the cause of the war was V did not agree to stop climbing the tower and Zahard don't share the key for him and towerborns.
Stop talking nonsense.
--- Double Post Merged, ---
What is the other fact? What is the context? Which one says V and Arlene didn't start the war?
You have no proof for what you said.
--- Double Post Merged, ---
And you shouldn't mention people who weren't present during the Amizu incident just to protect V.
While V and his allies plan to break into Traumerei's house to see his lab.
Don't tell him he doesn't have his own intentions anymore.
So I just watched S2 ep9 anime of TOG. The translations were spot on from the manwha. It sparked a theory.
V did die. Whether he committed suicide for said reasons; Or suicide for another reason is yet to be revealed. But The Line of Baam’s representation of power saying he is V. That, line/V/power is a Devil.
I think V turned himself into a Devil/Demon somehow & Baam is a living ignition weapon. lol, as im watching Beninmaru calls Bam so, lol I thought i was slick.
