With how much lore we got, I can see resemblance of UM journey with Night. He was born to defeat Phanta like Night was to kill the king. Why does UM want to go outside? Is it really because he wants to live there or to defeat Phanta and give justice to those who are living under the rule of Phanta? Can he at this moment say to himself, don't listen to those, live on your own way, I am not born to defeat Phanta? I think there is much to know. There's much to this panel, Ig.

Mhm, feel like it'll be a forever relevant panel throughout the entirety of Baam's journey I guess.

They're both chosen ones with different paths but still bearing some similarities.

Guess that's why Urek came to like Baam very easily cause he felt something similar.

Not exactly resemblance. Baam, just like Urek won't lose himself and become completely different unlike the 13 others. It was always an important element of his climb. He'll never become like Zahard.

Partially disagree.
1-] Not all 13 became completely different. Arie Hon still asked about Arlene, Gustang was still cognizant of his mistakes, and Traumerei did not change much at all. V? V did not change, either.
2-] There were times Baam did not accept his chosen destiny, but then, there were others he just complied and said it in the panels (not like accepting to be Lo Po Bia Baam, he just accepted emotionally of some expectations of FUG from him even disregarding so many hostage friend situations).

---
We don't know how outer god and Enryu were influencing Baam thing.
IF,
13 GW completely irrelevant to the outer gods, shinings, phantaminum and stuff, we will have another body hijacking of Baam later on, probably. Maybe the sun within Baam is a shining outer god bs.
IF,
13 GW is NOT completely irrelevant to the outher gods, we will enjoy this Urek Mazino spin off much much more I guess, maybe almost like Ray Baraccuda :D

It is stated in the story that they all became different and are all sinners. How did Traumerei not change? We know more about him than most. We saw when he decided to kill the other companions for his Irregular friends and how he became worse. You are talking about the Hon who was still steeling himself to fight V and Arlen. He became worse after and so did the others. Rang had her doubts too. Gustang is the only one who is trying to "redeem" himself by killing the others. He is still an asshole to Towerborns and consider themselves bugs.

What I said about Baam has nothing to do with accepting fate or not. It's about him staying true to himself i.e. not become a jerk with a god complex like the 13GW.

There were several inflection points of starting to consider themselves separately from towerborns in moral sense and we saw them on Traumerei, and maybe Zahard, but not really on others. Gustang consider other bugs, then, did not even say a damn word against Bellerir while he was cursing to his face. I feel Gustang's ir/regular separation is mostly practical. I am not so strong about Hon, though, we are not revealed about his motives.

Baam indeed did not have a god complex, but staying true to himself? Check Dark Change Baam, for instance. Even though he has an insane integrity, he can still be tainted with sufficient force. I believe this can even be used later in the story as making the Baam antihero vs. Ja Wangnan or stuff.

I have become more convinced now that the Sun is the shining light power inside Bam. That's his real power, which will devour everything in the tower and grow stronger. I mean, it has to if he goes against Zahard and then after Phanta. The OG in Arlene's despair also sought his justice against Phanta. Plus, didn't Rachel call Bam a monster meant to devour this tower? I think all she meant was he will devour all the powers this tower has to provide to stand against a bigger threat (Phanta), which the 13 GWs never could.

This also reminds me Rachel, as there are so many mentions with her and light together. So maybe Rachel is a relative to Urek?

Gustang is always civil and rewards people who do what he asks of them. He has been like this since his introduction, he was using Bellerir for something too. It doesn't change the fact that he thinks of them as lesser beings. Traumerei handles things differently, he has no trust and wouldn't tolerate such insults, but both of them have the same views.

Baam having emotional moments doesn't change what he is. Baam doesn't think he is a superior being, in fact, he has a rather low opinion of himself and he wants to get stronger for the sake of his friends, to stay with them. That's him at his very core. That's why Urek's words and lines like "Baam is Baam" are very important to him.

No fucking chance in hell is she someone that special.
If they are not related Urek will fall in love for sure then :)

As a wild prediction, I don't think Phanta will be the final boss of Baam, and never Zahard. Baam will kill 135th floor admin and face what is final out there.

I don't think Urek is capable of killing Phanta alone. He might need Bam's help. Maybe that is what Bam's fate is at the end of the story.

I also just want to see Urek-Bam tag-team against a mighty foe, and it won't be against Zahard.

In the grand scheme of things, killing an administrator doesn't seem like a big deal now.

Phanta isn't meant for Baam though.

He could use the help of the other radiant/shining ones. They are trapped, not dead.

Rachel and Arlene are probably cult members of the radiant one.
I like this theory.
