Can we safely say V cannot gauge Urek?

Given how the side story has played out the impression I get is that odds are that the great warriors are simply not familiar with urek's shining powers or the actual properties of his shinsoo which seem to correlate to his shining powers. As in, it's not the actual shining powers but it is still a light based power with bizarre properties.

Hm, I think more than not knowing it is they can't even sense it in the first place.

Everyone strong always feels Baam has something terrible hidden inside him for example but the Light has just been a straight up ghost to anyone seemingly bar Headon himself who could tell with a glance something was up.

But to the point of his shinsoo in season 3 and people not knowing it's properties, it seems that there's a strong difference between his shinsoo now and his shinsoo there.

For one, his shinsoo here is literally so freaking bright to the point it's noted to be blinding and golden with stars in them.

Season 3 Urek's shinsoo is almost dead looking in comparison with an orange hue even if still yellow, I'm sure Urek supppresed the heck out of his shinsoo even way more than he already as he grew just so it doesn't cause unnecessary problems.

It's alive and has it's own ego after all.

The 10FH does not know it.

Arie Hon has a case of guessing it if his side comment from the blog is still canon. Which is more than likely the case. It originally did not make sense why he said Urek is much better when they fought to a tie. If he knew of Urek’s shining powers then that comment would make sense now.

Hmm, I almost wanna believe this cause I like Hon a lot but I don't think it was this exactly.

Most likely what he was feeling was the real strength of his suppressed shinsoo, the Light seemingly can't be sensed by anyone unless you're Headon.

Maybe down the line it's possible that Urek can will it to show itself to people who can't feel it, actually it'll most likely be the case for the aura farming reveal moment ngl.

Lulz.

Well, a random ass ranker was unable to sense it. We don't know whether this would apply to a family head or even high rankers. We also do not know if urek used the light against the red thrysa which would make a stronger case that the light can't be felt by tower folk. We also do not know if headon could or couldn't sense the light inside urek.

Urek's shinsoo being alive is probably not that interesting a trait IMO. Gustang was able to write his own family into being. To the point where they counted as alive enough to climb the tower and become rankers. Let alone that him materializing stuff into being does not even look like shinsoo control (it probably is but it makes no sense at all as shinsoo control). When urek's rogue shinsoo climbs the tower and becomes a ranker I'll think this is more interesting (jokes aside, it could happen). I also do not buy into the whole urek shinsoo suppression thing. The difference between urek's shinsoo now and then is likely mastery. There's zero percent chance urek does not flawlessly master his shinsoo as he climbs the tower.

Hm, the second floor Admin couldn't sense it tho, the only thing he recognized was that Urek is an irregular.

Unlike Headon who flat and sensed something and thought he shouldn't be in the Tower.

Even if we say Headon couldn't sense the Light itself, he definitely felt Urek's nature as something odd hence his comment.

Plus Urek using the Light against the Red Thryssa goes against him not wanting to use the power at all in his game of restrictions, it's too tiny for that.

Just as he used one finger against Karaka for 1% he used 10% on bell Joe.

All his base physical strength, it's always been absurd right from the start as we see here.

Flawlessly mastering your shinsoo and keeping it's nature in check goes hand in hand.

It's stated that Urek's shinsoo isn't something that can be controlled by nature, only suppression works.

When you master your shinsoo, it doesn't lose it's light or peculiar nature, it's instead supposed to get stronger.

So losing the Light is something that only happens if you purposefully suppress it

It's like if Baam's shinsoo quality suddenly turned normal out of nowhere and no longer does half the thing it does by nature already.

Plus hasn't the whole game with Urek always been about restrictions anyways no matter how he's fighting or who he's fighting, that's whole gimmick with the holding back a lot thing.

All were getting now is that he's holding back a lot more than we thought as per his origins.

Most of what we get in regards to admin's perception of urek is at best vague. Heck, the second floor admin didn't seem to mind urek challenging him to a fight and even insinuated it'd be pointless (with the whole "if you want to fight the tower's laws yada yada). Headon says urek shouldn't be in the tower but he still welcomes him in anyways... There aren't that many conclusions we can draw from this.

We got the comment about suppressing urek's shinsoo from a instructor at the second floor. The guy has no context of urek being an irregular, let alone whatever else urek has going on. This is an incredibly limited perspective. The guy thinks urek is some regular kid who will never be able to control the comical amount of power he has. It's 99.99% sure the guy is wrong about urek's shinsoo. It's a matter of time until urek is 100% in control in every regard with no need to suppress anything. Urek simply has more power than he can control for now.

I think you are overthinking urek's boredom and sportsmanship.

Nah, he only sensed that Urek was from the outside and that's what gave him the confidence to allow the fight between a regular and a ranker.

Irregular status was all he sensed, Headon felt something different entirely.
Basically the same thing. Urek was special hence admin allowed the fight. It makes sense that the admin sensed urek's hidden light powers and hence allowed it. Only with shinsoo at this point , urek won't qualify most likely.

I think there's a strong difference between what Headon wants and what the Tower does.

Headon rejects Urek's existence in the Tower and thinks he's bad for it so he would like him gone, but at the same time he also can't stop Urek if he wants to climb it because that's the Tower's law and he's simply it's guardian.

The Tower is free game to any irregular who desires to climb it, that's the whole deal with being an irregular and the special status first and foremost.

Admins have their own limits in a way.

Ascribing Urek's limits and describing the nature of his Shinsoo aren't one and the same.

He gave us the description of how Urek's shinsoo behaves as the mouthpiece for the readers, Urek himself didn't refute or think he could control it absolutely and he has experience with controlling a lot of power so he's not some greenhorn here.

It's naturally very destructive and wild plus behaves on it's own, this one is a description for us and so to control it he has to suppress it lest it goes out of control.

Even Blossom as a whole ass FH has problems with more power than she can control and she's noted to be the best wave controller of the Great warriors surpassing Gustang.

Urek's In a far, like way far worse position so even if he doesn't have 100% control till today, I don't see how it would be bad considering he's found a way around it that works for him unlike Blossom herself.

Hmm, still extremely skeptical.

The difference between his reaction and that of Headon's is way too big.

If he had asked basically the same question Headon asked but in a different way like-

"Why is someone like you in this Tower".

I'd buy he felt the same thing Headon did.

But I can buy if he sensed potential or something within Urek, but the Light itself is doubtful as hell.
