Tuning in this week to say Tohru Kuramori is a generational storyteller. Some absolute magic is being worked in Centuria. I am now rereading the entire arc to catch any foreshadowing because a nuclear bomb just got dropped on my head.

I could genuinely feel my heart drop when I got to that.

Also side note if anyone cares, Marchen Crown volume 1 came out and...

I'm the biggest sucker for Sachiiro no One Room so I feel like a dumbass for having never noticed Meririrarariri was done by Hakuri. I'm definitely seeing it in the faces now but man they've improved a bit. Either that, or I'm due another Sachi reread, lmao. Awesome surprise to open WITCHRIV to at least. Their one-shots are usually good, but I'd like to see them stick about long term so here's hoping it hits all the right notes.

I thought Nona was going to go full U19 and sow the guards' mouths shut so the boots thing got a laugh out of me.

Dude, what? Fuck man. I mean, I'm not terribly surprised sales and story-wise... Just such a shame. Easily one of my favorite Jump+ series rn. Hopefully the mangaka will get a hit next time around.

Hiroshi Shimomoto (Smother Me) has a new Jump+ series announced for the new round. Pretty excited to see how it turns out. While Smother Me certainly got a bit too edgy tryhard at times, the series has such a cool art-style and just fantastic action panel-work.

Pretty empty month for Plus today. Home on Horizon seems to be shaping up to be a solid hit, good for an otherwise empty year (Witchriv has had a big view start, so could maybe be the next hit, but it also depends). Blood Wing Hunter is the new release, and it bombed.

I know Jump+ cancellations work differently but I'm surprised Astro Baby got a full 5 volumes. Didn't it perform horrendously from the very start?

My Marriage To Saneka also ends next chapter. Such a damn shame so many of my favorite Jump+ series are ending. Saneka had such a great vibe. Was so cute and had such a fantastic cast of characters. Loved the art and how tonally versatile it was.
